The biomes aren't configurable, i went to the config and set their values to 0 but they still load. Also EBXL biomes don't load, Only biomes loading are these ans Vanilla
Do you think the Gasmask might protect me against the effects of the bombs or not???
All the gas mask does is stop the potion effects and damage given by my gas blocks specifically. Outside of that, it's just a leather helmet. It doesn't interact with other mods, so it wouldn't help you any more than a leather helmet would.

I'm unable to replicate this. I turned off a bunch of biomes in the config file, and after flying around in creative in a new world for ten minutes or so I was unable to find any of them. Extra Biomes XL also works fine for me. If you loaded up a world that you had generated prior to disabling the biomes, they will still be there. But if that's not the case, I suspect it may be caused by some other mod you have installed interfering, or possibly some sort of version issue. Do you have any other biome mods, or Jar modifying mods besides Forge installed? It would help if you could post the contents of the config file that you modified, and the versions of the my mods, Minecraft, Forge, etc. that you're using.
I looked manually... LiquidContainerData does not exist in the most Up-To-Date 1.4.4 Minecraft forge.
I even redownloaded forge to make sure. It wasn't in there.
The version of forge on the 1.4.4 thread on the Forge forum (6.3.0.372) is not the latest version for 1.4.4. My mods were built with most recently with 6.3.0.374, however, any later version should work. If you're using the pre-release of 1.4.5, you could use one of the 1.4.5 versions, and it should work (although I haven't tested this personally).

Are gas vents sources of infinite gas? Seems sorta OP, i was easily able to fully power 2 LP boilers from one vent. If IC2 was out, it would mean a ton of power for absolutley nothing. (apart from the setup cost of the boilers etc). Otherwise, pretty nifty

Thanks. Gas vents do have a finite amount of gas in them, but it's probably a little bit too much. I'm still balancing the mod and gas definitely needs to be nerfed. I'm still trying to figure out by exactly how much though. Balance is actually quite important to me, so you can definitely expect an update, probably after 1.4.5 comes out, fixing things a bit. I'm also sort of waiting for RP2 just to make sure gas works properly with fluid pipes before I release another update.
Ahh yeah biomes seem to be configurable, didnt know summit was another snow biome. also the first time I ran it everywhere i went all i could find were your biomes, now it seems to be working perfectly. I love your biomes (except the 2 snow ones, i dont like snowy biomes)

The summit one is more in there to look cool off in the distance than anything. I can't say I'm too fond of them either though, if anything, just because they tend to spawn next to warmer biomes, which looks weird. I'm glad you managed to solve your problem though.
Make an Infinite Gas Generator block that can only obtain Via Creative/TMI/NEI. For Military Base maps and Cave Danger maps. Makes for good impassable areas without a Gasmask.
That sounds like an interesting idea. Although, I don't think you could actually keep a room filled with gas until I change the gas expansion algorithm so it requires a larger space to dissipate. I suppose if RP2 grates work with it (no idea if they will yet), you could do it that way.
nice job on the biomes. love them! I use a few different biome mods and yours both compliments the others and in a few cases blows them away! (without any real conflicts or overrides that I have noticed) also, I am adding texture support to my pack.
edit: my first attempt at mixed dirt. (with comparison of all combined textures)
not sure if I'm using it, or replacing my gravel with it and making another mixed texture...lol

I totally understand. There are many things to consider when calculating the amoun of gas in each vent:
*The fact they are at bedrock level
*The vent rarity
* and probably a few more things i havent thought of

I'll likely split the nerfing of it between reducing it's effectiveness as a fuel and the amount in the vents. What I really need to do is look at the numbers for BuildCraft oil and fuel and figure it out from there.

I'll link to you once I put up a download.
Looks great. Once it's up, I'll add a link to your thread in the OP of this one.

Maybe you could add a random element to it, like bc oil pocket size. Sometimes a vent will have little gas, sometimes ALOT
It already uses a pseudo-random number generator to determine the size. Currently, they can be anywhere between 0 (in which case they will immediately turn to bedrock), and 999 bucket volumes. For reference, a vial holds 4 bucket volumes.

That sounds pretty balanced, possibly make it just 800 bucket volumes?
That wouldn't really be a significant change. I'll likely bring it down to < 500 buckets, as well as nerfing it's effectiveness as a fuel, although, I haven't decided by how much yet.

You can find all the forge releases here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/
But thank you for pointing this out. I've updated the OP to make it more clear.
