Is there any way you could throw in an option to use refined iron for your mod besides steel. I've had to abandon your mod temporarily as I have several mods that inorporate steel but yours refuses to be compatible with any of it. Even the Forge lexicon which is mean to swap ores between mods will NOT detect or change to your steel type.
Thanks Atomic Stryker for picking these up Mucho kudos my friend. I do have one request though. I use an usb wireless internet device that gets testy at times and has issues running through a chain of sites. (Rather, it's not the greatest and i get frustrated with it) i merely ask that you put direct links that take it directly to the mod's page on your site. If not, it's understandable, i WILL put up with it to keep these updated.
MFR steel is the equivalent to refined iron (configurable), because it's old school and actual steel wasn't added by mods until more recently
But your mod doesn't use refined iron in place of steel, and with newer mods using more steel there steel overrides yours making it impossible to craft anything with your mod because no one can make the right steel. I used to love your mod man, but I'm afraid in favor of 2+ other mods who create steel I just don't have the patience to keep handing out hammers/materials to players to build your mods stuff. It just isn't compatible with the forge ore dictionary and needs to be coded to be cross compatible. And i've checked the config, wherever the command used to be to allow refined iron isn't there anymore. Here's a pastebin of your config file : http://pastebin.com/xvfhMHH0
I put in the iron crafting recipe iron surrounded by 4 coal and now it yeilds 5 hammers as a result.
Your mod registers all steel ingots but they look like hammers now in the crafting window. I did disable the crafting of dusts in electric expansion and minefactory was able to craft steel (what looks like a hammer now).
I was unable still to swap steel types in game using the forge ore dictionaries, unless that mod itself needs to be updated.
I also noticed today that after your update the conveyor belt is no long orange and animated, its bigger and still and dark in color. Is this intentional? As clicking them with a hammer now moves them up/down and thats it. Something broke with conveyors.
And a last post on the steel thing, what would be the difficulty in incorporating a config option to use iron or refined iron for your recipes in place of steel? Pretty much would solve all of this. The option is there doesn't cover this, just enables or disables the crafting of still, which doesn't actually do anything.
A definite MAYBE. IC2 API doesnt seem to have changed much, but perhaps enough. I will not be updating anymore since *announce* powercrystals has asked i return control of these 3 mods to him! He's already working at new features and will be opening his own thread, at which point i'll ... do nothing at all

There is still a lot of great mods in your hands.
You've done a great job. Thank you.

Well it makes sense if you think about it, would be epic to have but I do understand why it's not included, Thanks for the clarification on that.

and a picture of refined iron not working
...? That should be what you are talking about, unless im mistaken
Actually, the source registers MFR steel to the Forge Ore Dictionary as "ingotRefinedIron" regardless, so it should work
EDIT
hang on that line is in the wrong place
EDIT #2
1.6.4
- fixed OreRegistry Recipe Hook registering too late
I got about as far as that, server wouldn't start with updated version in place.
