Do you have the mod installed on the server?
Just download the global forge (the link in the first post) then click the right 'global' link.
Startup your server once, place the NBTeditor mod in the 'mods' folder. And you're done, there's one thing though, if you install this mod anyone not having this mod can't join the server.
Man, I have to thank you for this! I've always wanted to use NBT edit but didn't like exiting the game completely. With this and world edit, anything is possible!

Yeah, it looks like the refactorization messes up how I access protected fields... Removed the 1.4.6 version for now. Expect a bug-free update tomorrow.
maybe my question is a little silly, but i want to get assured everything will work fine, if i switch back and forth between sp wit this mod and a bukkit server to edit a big custom map, befor i waste several hours or days. any known problems with that? exept latest added items disappearing because of old/new releases of the jars... thanks in advance, crumb

I didn't test it but as far as I know, you can put your map in a bukkit server without any problems. Just make sure you don't have the wrong plugins installed, because they can change NBT tags. So, after making a custom spawner, don't change it with a mob spawner changer plugin.

You need Forge too.
It should work fine as long as you have Forge installed. Is it not working?
