Hello! I'm having a bit of an issue with shaders on 1.6.4 and didn't find a solution using Search, so here goes. Shaders & packs run fine - some better than others - but for any configuration I use (with or without OptiFine, any shader pack) my health & armor bar areas are darkened out like so:
I do have nohero's More Health mod installed, as well as Natural Absorption and Tinker's Construct, so I was curious as to whether or not other people had issues with rendering when mods that alter these variables were present. I have an nVidia 770 and I get the same issue with either the newest 334.89 drivers or rolling back to 320.49 (which I had seen was what was recommended due to some issue I am not familiar with). Any help would be appreciated, as this is the sole blemish on a gorgeous experience. Thanks for your time!
-edit- I derped - I should also mention that when I have no shader pack loaded but the mod installed, the entire screen is dimmed like my health bar is. Using a shader pack remedies everything BUT what is shown in the screenshot.
Tech of Tommorow Reports the AMD 14.2 Beta Catalyst Drivers are compatible with Minecraft and that the missing texture issue is fixed.
I will test this myself after the post.
Edit: It works! No hotfix needed for now. I also have to recheck my java to see if I did a full install or if I'm still on the hotfix without knowing it.
here it is my shader thats based on Chocapic13's shader with some changes like .POM but no specular .orange/red colour sunrise and sunsets .brighter days and darker nights .imo better looking rain but in doing so has broken specular ( will look into fixing later) .bigger and brighter sun glow .water more transparent and lighter blue .and a subtle lens flare
Error: Invalid program gbuffers_textured_lit
Error: Invalid program final
It also minimizes my screen to a bunch of really small versions of it in the lower left corner, and darkens the world I see in them. It also decreases my FPS. Is this because of my graphics card? If so, how can I fix it?
So I recently got a Window 8 computer, and managed to get shaders working in 8. When I uploaded to Windows 8.1, however, shaders stopped working. When I go to use shaders, minecraft merely closes and returns to the launcher, however it opens fine without shaders running, which I assume means there's nothing wrong with the forge I'm using.
Shaders Mod v2.4.0 alpha for Minecraft 1.7.5 !
For advanced user/tester only.
Info
This does not require Forge or FML.
It is a little more difficult to install this than previous version.
You will have to do some copy-paste and text file editing.
I will make an installer later. That will take more time.
Required Libraries
asm-all-4.1.jar
If you have already installed and run forge, you should already have this file.
If you don't have it already, you can get it from this link to download a zip file. Extract asm-all-4.1.jar from the zip.
Installation
- Run Minecraft 1.7.5 at least once. Close Minecraft and Launcher.
- Copy ShadersModCore-2.4.0mc1.7.5.jar to the following path and filename.
%APPDATA%\.minecraft\libraries\shadersmodcore\ShadersModCore\2.4.0mc1.7.5\ShadersModCore-2.4.0mc1.7.5.jar
- Make sure you also have required libraries
%APPDATA%\.minecraft\libraries\org\ow2\asm\asm-all\4.1\asm-all-4.1.jar
- Make a copy of folder
%APPDATA%\.minecraft\versions\1.7.5
- Rename the copied folder to
%APPDATA%\.minecraft\versions\1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0
- Open folder 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0
- Rename 1.7.5.jar to 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0.jar (same name as folder)
- Rename 1.7.5.json to 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0.json (same name as folder)
- Open the json file with Notepad++ (or other text editor program)
- Edit value of id. (equals to folder name)
"id": "1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0",
- Edit value of minecraftArguments. Make sure there is a space in front of --tweakClass.
- Save 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0.json
- Reopen Minecraft Launcher
- Create a new profile, edit profile, select version 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.4.0. Save.
- Select the profile and click Play.
- Test.
EDIT:
1. ShadersModCore-2.4.0mc1.7.5.jar is updated once in 03/03/2014 to fix block ID bug (which result in no waving of everything). If you downloaded it before the update, you may redownload it.
2. If you have installed Forge or FML for Minecraft 1.7.2, you should already have asm-all-4.1 and launchwrapper-1.9 in libraries folder.
If don't installed Forge or FML, you have to download asm-all-4.1 and add it to libraries.
You don't have to manually download launchwrapper-1.9. Minecraft Launcher can download it automatically.
3. Add link for download asm-all-1.4. Edit instruction.
It's no bug, it's a feature
Anyhow, thanks for the quick update! Since i am very talented in following exactly the instructions but ca'nt get those things to work, i wo'nt test the mod right now.
For example, i followed EXACTLY the Forge Install instructions in 1.5(?) but it did not work. In not even one of my 10 tries. I switched to MagicLauncher because of that, but it has some probs with the Shaders atm. No big deal, this way i am able to enjoy Optifines Extreme Render Distance with great fps (>70) - could be worse^^
No... It's a bug if they're supposed to be waving >_>...
I've done some testing with the 1.7.5 shaders mod, and it seems to be running well. Still works on servers, water reflections seem to be completely non-existent on any chocapic-based pack, but they do work on SEUS 10.1. Bump mapping, POM, and Specular mapping are still working as intended. EDIT: After letting the game sit for about 10 minutes (accidentally ) the FPS seems to have dropped by about 10-15. This is not something I have experienced with the 1.7.2 version of the shaders mod.

Fixed : leaves/grass/water not waving.

It's the same link as before but the file is just updated.
What's weird is that I'm getting less FPS on this with an 8 chunk normal render distance than 1.7.2 with a 16 chunk render distance and Optifine combined on Sildur's POM shaderpack (dev version).
On SEUS v10.1, I feel like the clouds are smoother and the FPS is either the same or larger (volumetric clouds enabled).
Edit: The less fps was for the 1.7.5 shaders mod and I had the render resolution at 1.4
My card is a AMD Radeon 7970.
Edit: I've noticed lag spikes where my GPU usages goes up to 99 percent and my Minecraft FPS becomes 1-7 without any shaders. I almost learned it the hard way when I was surrounded in pvp with 4 other people, but at least I made it out and killed two or three before they ran away.
Karyonix? could you have a look at the following Error which appears while using Mekanism?
It throws out a 0x0502 Error when using a shader pack on 1.6.4
pp
I'm going to try and test this and check it out for you yet, I haven't forgotten ;).
Does it happen only when playing MP or is it SP too?
You have to disable shaders, load the world, and then enable them -- right?
EDIT: Hmm, I'm messing around with Mekanism using SP locally, and don't have any issues -- fresh config as I've never loaded it before. I'd like to try to connect to one of the MP servers that you are using perhaps. This is on my Quadro FX 880m with the 320.49 drivers. Loaded one of my worlds a few times, created a new world as well..

I was able to install the 1.7.5 shaders. My Jelly World shader works, but the grass and small flowers aren't bouncing around correctly. Can this be fixed?
Also, is it possible if you could list my Jelly World shader on the front page with the other shaders, please?

i am getting 0-1fps when use the default or any shaderpack.
i am using the attack of the b team(minecraft 1.6.4 forge 965)
ram is set to 3gb but rarely goes above 2gb
gpu is 50%
cpu is 10%
am I doing something wrong?
So I did everything as It said in karyonix's post about 1.7.5 setup. I copy the folder and renamed everything and I edited the json file and I triple checked to make sure everything was done correctly. Now I have the shaders in the proper folder and everything, but when I select a shader pack and I open a world in Minecraft, It shows the loading screen, stops at the dirt screen before going to the world, but instead of going to my world, Minecraft crashes and returns to the launcher. I'm really at a loss here and I have no clue what to do...

Wich CPU? Minecraft (Java) normally adresses just one CPU Core, e.g. this means for my Core i7 12,5% CPU Load maximum, but 1 Core at 100% load -> The CPU limits.
I'd be more curious to know which GPU he is monitoring..
If it's an Intel Embedded GPU than he isn't going to get any more than that in SEUS. He should be able to manage 20-30 in Sildur's Basic.

If you copied the 1.7.5 folder and made all of those changes, that is all good..
Did you make the folder in libraries and copy the download (from his post) to that folder? Make sure the folder is spelled correctly, and case sensitivity probably matters too.
The folder would be: shadersmodcore\ShadersModCore\2.4.0mc1.7.5. See the resemblance?
The filename would be the last 2 folders together with a hyphen.jar: ShadersModCore-2.4.0mc1.7.5.jar
Aside from that, make sure that in the JSON, the brackets open & close properly. The apostrophes (') and quotes (") are where they are supposed to be. Etc.
If all else fails, Karyonix has a very basic LOG file, you can post that here. It is in %appdata%\.minecraft\logs\latest.log (perhaps this is actually MC). Please use spoiler tags when posting ;).

Whenever I load a world, Join a server my minecraft just stays on Dirt screen.
I'm using Minecraft 1.7.2 and Forge Build 1024
I can never play with shaders again in the new update, I guess..
