Holy dude! Thank you for featuring my biome in it! Your english is definitely not bad.
Mind if I take some of your ideas and add it to the OP? You will be credited as making the biome with me!
Oh, thank you. And of course you can, that's why I made these pictures C: .
P.S. Please, hide the quote (it's big) .
As for biome ideas, how about a forested area that's recently seen a big fire? Ash, dried dirt or exposed rock on the surface, bare trunks and fallen logs, with sparse shrubs and naturally occurring saplings?
It could end up being similar to the "dead forest", but the Burnt Forest could also be more of the opposite, a place of new life springing up.
Another one, "Infested Forest", a forest that's seen a boom in the spider population, leading to trees absolutely covered in cobwebs. All three spider species naturally spawn there even during the day.
Missouri once had a silkworm infestation in the 90s that made every other tree look like this, it was memorable.
Villages still dont spawn? How the hell should i find carrots now -.-
I have seen som villages mod, should it work to get villages with biomes o plenty then? Like, Better Villages Mod that have set to spawn villages in every biome
Kill Zombies. That's how I got both carrots and potatoes.
Please note, that all of this 3 suggestions aren't mine, I just wanted to illustrate them. The 4th idea IS mine.
Finally, the last one, I thought about really nice landscapes and came up with the Cypress Swamp! As the name suggests the main type of vegetation here is cypress. Rain in these places isn't something special, as well as fog, so many mushrooms have spreaded over the soil, some of them developed an ability to glow in the dark! Here's some pictures:
Beautiful, isn't it?
That's all, thank you for reading and glancing at my pictures :3 . If the pictures are way too big, tell me, I'll hide them. And I apologise for my horrible English.
P.S. Just in case: Please note, that all of this 3 suggestions aren't mine, I just wanted to illustrate them. The 4th idea IS mine.
I like this idea! Kinda reminds me of my biome idea on page 115. I know it's nothing like it, but maybe we could merge our 2 ideas together?
Hello, I want to participate in this competition, before it's too late. I came up with many different ideas, but unfortunately, people posted them before me. So because this ideas are still awesome, I decided to "help"
(it's not a help actually, but whatever...) people and recreate their suggestions in Minecraft. Here they are.
The first one is Coral Atoll/Reef idea by many various people. The ancient volcano is slowly plunges into water unable to resist the power of the sea. Coral island encircles the mountain. Islands are covered with jungle trees, palmtrees, flowers and many bushes. Coral reefs can be found round the island.
Coral reef
This one is without the central island.
Note: Corals are from the mod by Nandonalt and q3hardcore.
Another one is by Darkai34 (p.122) . He called biome "The Overhang Forest", but I did this picture before his post so it's called "Jade Forest". This is a very mountainous region populated with conifers (fir trees and microbiota) and a tree the name of which I don't know :C. Mountains are look like a naturally created giant pillars.
Also, the biome have a lot of big and small lakes!
And a rivers are really fast there, so they create a small canyons.
I liked the Impact Crater biome too, so here it is. The first one have some fallen trees, and the second...
...have no trees. ._.
In real life, some craters are flooded.
Please note, that all of this 3 suggestions aren't mine, I just wanted to illustrate them. The 4th idea IS mine.

These are amazing ideas. I like these more than my idea. I hope the Jade Forest or the Coral Atoll wins!
Hi. I am using Mo Creatures along with Biomes O Plenty. I have noticed that the mobs that mo creatures adds don't spawn in most of the biomes. Anyway I can fix this? Thanks.
Hi. I am using Mo Creatures along with Biomes O Plenty. I have noticed that the mobs that mo creatures adds don't spawn in most of the biomes. Anyway I can fix this? Thanks.
2. Go into the in-game options for Mo Creatures and turn its custom spawner OFF, but do not set the spawn rates of any mob to 0 (unless you don't want them). Make sure every mob can spawn in your difficulty level. (by default some only spawn in Hard mode).
3. Press F6 in game to get into Mob Spawn Control's options, and set the spawn rates in each biome to your preference. This will take literally forever. Alternately, I have a ready-made config here: http://pastebin.com/uMWjUTPa
There will be a txt called DefaultSpawnConfiguration in your minecraft folder; replace its contents with what's in that pastebin. Note, I also have Atmosmobs in there, and I haven't tested what would happen if you try to play the game without that mod also installed. Most likely it will work fine. Adjust spawn rates from there to your preference. I chose AtmosMobs' butterflies and moths over Mo Creatures' (Since AtmosMobs' are drawn to flowers and light sources, respectively) so you'll need to add those in yourself, for instance.
4. As an extra, go into MSC_Overrides.txt which is also in your minecraft folder, and add this line: "import LavaSlime as Monster". This will make sure Magma Cubes spawn correctly. I wasn't sure how they spawned before, so I was just covering that angle. Wither Skels still spawn only in fortresses.
5. If you go into a world you've made prior to changing spawn rates, it may take a bit to see the effects. Either start a new world or move far away for best results.
Click the link above to go to the Google Docs form and vote on which biome you want to see added in the next update! Not every entry was counted, as some were kind of bad (No offense to those whose entries I didn't include), some weren't possible, and quite a few weren't actually biomes (Impact craters, "village" biomes, etc.).
Anyway, please share this with as many people as you can, and be sure to vote! Just please only vote once! Google Docs allows you to go back and vote again for some reason, which would be quite unfair.
Also, here's a preview of the new and improved Promised Land that will be in the next update:
The Promised Land looks absolutely stunning, good luck to all contestants and let the best biome/s win!
EDIT: I'm worried that people are gonna abuse this. I've voted for my idea once though naturally. Are there any other alternatives to voting on Google Docs? I'm just wondering, considering that Google Docs can be easily manipulated in favor.
Disappointed the infested forest idea didn't get in, but oh well. The burnt forest idea kinda harkens back to the old days of the game when fire spread was infinite and you could accidentally sterilize your entire map.

I only counted one biome entry per person (If people submitted more than 1, I just picked the one I liked the most. :P). Not to mention, the Infested Forest wouldn't really look that great in-game IMO.
Sort of wish I could vote for two. I love both Jade Forest, and my own idea, Crystal Isle. Would like either of them to make it, although I did cast the vote to Jade.
How did you decide which ones would be chosen to go up on the voting? One of my favourites hasn't been put up there, and I'm just wondering why.
Well, I didn't put up ones I didn't like to begin with, because it'd just be pointless to have them in and have the votes not matter anyway. Some entries were things I said I wouldn't do (Like underground biomes, or floating islands), or weren't actually biomes (Impact craters, "village biome", junkyard, etc.).
Of course. You can vote for anyone. Unless you mean can you vote for yourself and one other person...I didn't make it so you could choose more than one so that you either had to pick your own entry, or someone elses'. It sort of promotes picking your favorite idea, rather than your own (Because in some cases, you might like other ideas more than your own and whatnot).

Also, since I'm feeling generous again, here's another preview of a new biome:
The Fen biome. It's sort of a swampy, dead forest, with cat tails, mud, mushrooms, dead trees, etc.
Change the biomeGen values in the config file from true to false.
1. Download the Mob Spawn Control mod: http://www.minecraft...upport-updated/
2. Go into the in-game options for Mo Creatures and turn its custom spawner OFF, but do not set the spawn rates of any mob to 0 (unless you don't want them). Make sure every mob can spawn in your difficulty level. (by default some only spawn in Hard mode).
