Feel like the stack size limits set by Mojang are a little off? Which you could stack signs more than you can currently? Well, you now can with this mod. Sure, there are other mods that modify stack sizes for various items, but I believe this is the first mod that lets you set those values for yourself.
Setting those values is extremely simple. Once you install this mod and run the game for the first time, there will be a stacking.properties file in your config folder. Syntax for this file is incredibly simple.
(the id of the item you want to set)=(max stack size)
Keep in mind that this will ONLY work for items.
Any item not defined in this file will stack as originally defined.
I don't think I will be using this on my current server but its a great idea and would have had uses back on my old servers. I really hope to see more smaller mods like this for forge starting to popup sort of like bukkit had.

My texturepack (Misa Realistic) relies quit heavily on it.

This seems like a very bad idea, how does it handle items that are either damageable or use the stacks NBTTagCompound (eg for enchantments). Seems to me that this mod would quickly cause many problems which may or may not blow up your computer along with anything in a 10km radius
If the player sets an item to be stack able that shouldn't, it may blow up in their faces. As long as they use it for items that dont break when stacked, there's no issue.
Maybe you should either add some check for damageable items (which should cover both the damage and the NBTTag/enchantmant Issue) or have a giant warning on the front page telling people not to add these items to the list. Possibly the former as a suggested future feature and the later as more of an immediate thing.
I do also want to say that I do think it is a good idea, just wanted to point out that issue (while keeping it light hearted).

Uploading a version now that doesn't allow damageable items.
At least optifine does't insert code into your minecraft classes without your permission. The bytecode manipulation that HDPatcher uses has been the cause of so many problems it is not funny (many of them from users believing that it is a bug in my mod).

Uploaded.
I'll see about making a ModLoader version.
I love you even more.

EDIT: Mmmm....wait. This requires forge? It normally wouldn't be a problem but it would conflict quite a bit with my mcpatcher setup.

Don't use MCPatcher then.

Misa doesn't like that either.

For example, if I want to add a door to the list, should I write:
ID:324=STACK:64
ID:330=STACK:64
Or should I be writing this differently?
Should work just like that.
Still can't get it to work... what are the prerequisites for the mod to function properly?
Is this a jar mod or a mod folder mod?
