Do you do it the same way with forge? When I open the forge json file it doesn't have the 1.6.2 at the top.So how does this install with forge?Any help is appriciated. Thank you
This is REALLY ticking me off with this META-INF crap. I have WinRAR and it just keeps coming back after i delete it, start minecraft and the water mod doesnt work because META-INF just reinstalls itself and deletes the mod files. How do i get rid of this Meta inf file for good??Gotdamn its really getting on my nerves! I've scoured the net in search of an answer but I cant find anything that works!!!
Can anyone help me on this? I'm using 1.6.2 Minecraft version and downloaded the 1.6.2 version of the mod.

I followed EVERY step and my file i copied and renamed does not show up on the list of releases. it did it before when i watched another video like yours but now it isnt doing it.

I installed Water Shader Alpha for Minecraft 1.6.2 (Premium version) with Forge ...804 and without OptiFine. The water looks beautiful but the models (mine, animals' and other mobs') are invisible (you can hear the animals though).
Here is what I have done:
1. Updated Minecraft Launcher
2. Started and closed the game
3. Installed Forge ...804
4. Started the game from Forge profile, created a new world (animals were visible), and closed the game
5. I put "Too Many Items for 1.6.2 Forge version (Jul 30)" file [//www.minecraftforum.net/topic/140684-162-toomanyitems-in-game-invedit-jul-30-fixesupdates/" target="" data-ensure-absolute>"]http://www.minecraft...-fixesupdates/] to the folder "mods" in ".minecraft" folder. Without it installing Water Shader Alpha was impossible.
6. I started the game from Forge profile and closed it
7. I put the files ".class" from folder "WaterShaders-VAN-162" one by one (the game crashes if I put them differently) to Forge ...804.jar
8. Only then did I delete the folder "META INF" (from Forge ...804.jar)
9. I put the folder "shader" from "WaterShaders-VAN-162" to ".minecraft" folder
10. I started Minecraft Launcher
11. I clicked "Edit Profile" in the Forge profile
12. I wrote " -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true" in JVM Arguments without deleting anything (game crashed without it)
13. Then I started the game and...

More than Half of the 72 pages on here are about, "Yo wtf it doesnt work!", "I'm using Forge and Optifine and it doesnt work.", "Optifine isnt supported anymore, why it no work" "I downloaded the current patch, why it no work".

I guess we have the opportunity to blame him, I wanted to have the Water Shaders so badly, but I just can't fugure it out without him. He's just making this mod downgrading in reviews and reputation.

Read the Downloads, the optfine version isn't out, only vanilla.
