This mod alters the terrain generation of the End. There is no longer a massive endstone platform in the End. Instead, it is an endless series of floating "enderoid" islands. Some of these have obsidian towers, some don't. They can be very hard to get to from the spawn platform, so bring a few stacks of cobblestone with you. Because the islands' size is limited and there's less of a platform to fight the dragon from, I've reduced its health to that of an iron golem.
Whitestone, marble, and skystone now generate in the End to make it a bit more interesting. Skystone can be found in the lower levels of the End, and mining it carelessly can lead to death by Void. Blocks of the material act as an xray and a level 15 light source. They can also be crafted into tools and end portal frames, allowing you to leave the End without killing the enderdragon. Good luck running away from it though.
This mod requires ModLoader, and changes abc, amn, pp, and zt.class. I've provided an unedited copy of each in the orig_classes_ee folder.
IMPORTANT: There's a serious bug in the version I released yesterday. Instead of enderdragons spawning about every 18 km, they spawned in every chunk. I fixed that so only one spawns, just like in vanilla. Redownload if you're having problems with enderdragon spawns.
Nice, but I don't see the point. There's no limited ores that is to be found in a single island. Unless the player hasn't figured it out, they can easily farm for obsidian with infinite pools of water and magma, and they only need about 12 obsidian to form a portal. There has to be a pretty good reason to search other floating islands in the End if the single one can't provide enough.

What about people who might want to build in the side of an island? With the finite generation, all you're going to see out the only logical place for a window is an endless, dark void. Infinite End terrain generation = more islands = better view for your space station or whatever it is. I don't know why, but it just bothered me that one dimension only generates so much terrain and that's it where the other two go on forever. As for ores, it might be interesting to find pockets of white marble or blue crystal blocks (like in my avatar) in the endstone.

What does those particular blocks/ores do? Do you have any ideas? My opinion is something that's not just weapons and armors. How about something that allows you to fly? It would be extremely practical in this case, with islands in the End so far away from each other.

I wasn't planning on any new tool/armor tiers. Marble and whitestone (different from endstone, it uses the 1.9pre3 texture for endstone that was just white cobble) will just be decorative; skystone (the blue crystal, uses the 1.9pre3 texture of end portal frames) will be a new ore. It drops skystone dust which is crafted into skystone blocks (light source, level 15, also usable as an xray) and end portal frames.
I'm not sure if it's possible to allow flight in survival since servers kick people for flying without creative mode and 1.3 merged the server with the client. It'd also be very hard to make a piece of armor allow flight while wearing it, or to make a new potion that allows flight. If I learn how to make new potion effects I'll try the option idea.

Yes, you'll be able to make portals back to the overworld, and make portals to the End in your house. You'll still spawn on the same platform though; I can't really change that.
The xray works the same way as an xray texture pack. The block is considered by the game to be opaque, while parts of its texture are transparent. Because it's "opaque" Minecraft doesn't render all faces of the block, only those that are adjacent to a transparent block.

The idea is still cool, you could use other "loot", like enchanted diamond swords or enchanted armor.
It's OK, I got it working with some help from xXnotoriouslybadXx. Skystone ore generates now, and I'm working on crafting recipes for it. Marble and whitestone will come later.

Marble and whitestone now generate like dirt and gravel in the overworld, and skystone ore spawns below layer 32. Be careful mining skystone: it's often on the bottom of an island; you, the skystone or both could fall into the Void and die.
