Great stuff. It's always nice to see what folks come up with. There should be more of it including more from me.
Two questions to bring up:
1) What's SH?
I'm guessing from an earlier pic that it may be Japanese anime/manga related?
2) Have you seen the Battered Old Stuff texture pack (sorry I don't have a link handy)?
If not, some of those textures would really suit your builds. Maybe look for the End Of Days pack as well, although I'm not sure of that's the correct name of it.
A) 1) Is just a abrevation of Silent hill =) ( one of my favorite games )
A) 2) Well the main texture pack was John smith (legacy version) , but i prefer the art concept of (The end is extremely night)
I recently had to rebuild my server due to some unforeseen circumstances.
I am using all the same mods I was using before I had to rebuild.
I am using Magic Launcher with IDResolver to alleviate some of the hassle of installing mods
Everything is as it was before.
In the process of installing the mods I keep getting a Client crash before IDResolver is even finished.
I have tried several, several times.
I have tried installing mods in different orders.
I have tried installing all at once, and letting IDResolver sort it out.
But I keep crashing. The first couple of lines reference XtraSlopes, so I figured i would let you check out the crash report.

***EDIT***
So I removed the Slopes Module from the pack and everything loaded fine. I then put the Slopes back in the pack and restarted the game. Crash. So it is definitely something to do with XtraSlopes. Just thought I would share my further efforts to resolve my situation.
Fixed!
I hadn't applied the IDResolver fix to the slopedcraftingblocks.
Will be included in this weekends update.
I'll start with the easy bit and go from there.
I may have found a bug. Maybe. This is with version 'h' and default configs.
It's with the slab blocks, the single slabs are fine, and they don't seem to show up properly in NEI. I think it affects all modules. Not all of them are visible and they seem to be named/textured incorrectly. For example: DIYStoneSlabs 01 textures DIYStoneSlabBlocks 09 and so on until DIYStoneSlabs 08 textures DIYStoneSlabBlocks 16. DIYStoneSlabBlocks 01-08 are nowhere to be found and DIYStoneSlabs 09 textures a block called 'Unnamed'.
As stated I think the same goes for the other modules. Now, these aren't the most important blocks and they don't really need to be visible. The actual slabs behave perfectly well in-game, and double stack like they should. I just thought I'd mention it for the sake of completion and accuracy.
Now to something I feel bad asking about, you do so much for us already and I know you are really busy with the final 1.4.7 release (hopefully) and then 1.5. But I'm also hoping this will be something easy as it sort of works already.
One of the main features of RP2 that I like is the microblocks. Yesterday I discovered that Immibis's Microblock mod and that it can work with 'some' modded blocks. I thought great. You only need the core and the actual mod (core goes to mods and the mod goes to coremods ). I let it autodetect the cuttable blocks (changable in the config or you can manually input ID's) and everything seemed great. It worked perfectly on all the BetterWorld blocks but not CustomStuff2.
Then I tried the DIYWood blocks and these too worked excellently. I moved on to Stone, Metal and Glass but none of these worked. Odd I thought. So I manually inputted a few of their ID's but still no joy.
I find it strange that the wood module worked so easily but the others don't. Is there something different about the code in that module? It's not the material because stone works from other mods.
If you get a moment (yeah right) would you mind having a look. If it is an easy fix would you mind adding to all the modules with standard blocks (glow doesn't matter as once cut they lose their glow).
If possible it would be excellent of you if it was added it to the next 1.4.7 release? I'm not sure when I'll move to 1.5 as there is nothing in the update to interest me so it will depend on when my main mods update.
As always I'll leave it in your hands and see what you can come up with.
EDIT: Knowing that the modules go in order of wood, stone, metal etc I decided to try removing the wood module. This then allowed the stone blocks to be used with Immibis's mod but not the metal etc.
It appears to be picking up and working with only the first module installed, not the following ones. I have a bad feeling this isn't going to go my way.
OK! So I just had a play around with the microblocks mod and at first I could't see any of my blocks (or any other, for that matter).
I figured that maybe it was being overwhelmed, or simply taking a long time due to the sheer amount being generated.
For my next attempt, I ran the auto generate and then removed all of the unwanted modules.
I then cut all but the DIYWood from the list and pasted them to Notepad++.
I ran the game and opened the NEI screen (only to see empty space) after a few seconds all of the blocks showed up (including DIYWood microblocks). Yay!
Next I added the DIYStone list back into the microblocks config and ran Minecraft again.
Once more, after a few seconds all of the blocks showed up (including DIYWood and DIYStone microblocks). Yay again!
So I added the rest of the culled list back into the microblocks config and ran Minecraft again.
Success! All of the DIYBlocks were there as microblocks!
I am so happy in the pants right now. With these changes I actually have a reason to use Immibis's Microblocks mod.
For some reason, I just pictured you as Stephen Baldwin's character from the movie Half-Baked. I mean this in a completely complimentary way.
I got part of the way into the texture pack for 2.0h and remembered the modules were split up by material now.. so I had to redo from scratch. Haha.
I had a quick look at Immibi's the other day, but since I already use RP2, I dismissed it as "the same", but if I can configure it to allow for XtraBlocks, I am definitely going to install it.
Yeah - with TMI, I find the easiest way to find blocks is to type (eg) diamond, and then I select all the sizes of panels and posts I need.
I also have chests everywhere with 64 each of the blocks used in that area/room/etc.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Creative Minecrafter. No build is ever really complete, just "waiting for a better/prettier mod".
Ahh, see, I'm sort of strict on myself when it comes to TMI/NEI - I don't summon things unless they poof or something happens that is completely outside the scope of control. I found myself getting bored with the game pretty quickly when I could just magick them in, but when I play in Survival my interest remains much longer. Guess I feel things are more worthwhile when you have to work for them.. even in a video game. <sigh> This is probably also why I have so many mods installed - always something to do, something to learn!
I think the reason I didn't do much with Immibis's Microblocks was the beta feel to it (however 'final' the version was) and not so much RP2's implementation - there is always room for more. I love to build really intricate things too, arches out of octant blocks, trim for my machine installations etc (Little Blocks Mod is great for this, especially since it now works with Forge modded blocks). Also, after seeing how slowly RP2 can potentially take to update, I don't rely on it for anything at all anymore regardless of how truly game-changing it is. Still love it though. <3
Now if only the dev for UgoCraft would port his magic to Forge... ><
Added a custom Bow and Arrow to the Weapons mod
Works like an ordinary Bow.
(There is a small issue, where the arrow sometimes lands sideways and then corrects itself.
Once I work out that bug I will add a few more).
Fixed a few other small bugs from the recent updates, namely block step sounds.
Requires Forge: use the latest recommended version or above
(Built with "minecraftforge-universal-1.4.7-6.6.2.534").
Ugocraft already works on forge i test it myself a couple days ago so go to the mod creator page and download the newest version
Ahh then I wasn't clarifying what I meant, my apologies. Rephrase: Now if only the dev for UgoCraft could port his magic to Forge SMP. RP2 frames are nice for tunnel bores and mechanical purposes but they are a far cry aesthetically from smooth animation - just not nice enough compared to UgoCraft. Also, as far as SSP goes, block manipulation only seems to work on vanilla blocks. I've yet to find a workaround for that one so if you know of one, please let me know.
I hadn't applied the IDResolver fix to the slopedcraftingblocks.
Will be included in this weekends update.
Thank you very much. You are so on top of things. Now I can load up my server and finish my pirate ship .
I was curious do any of the slope blocks have transparency? It's not a great importance I was just wondering. I re-textured some glass blocks and glass pillars with the texture of my water and was going to do the same thing with a slope block, but wasn't sure about the transparency, so I thought I'd ask.
Thankyou just doesn't seem good enough.
This has helped (especially that config) a hell of a lot. I too can now get all the XBEE blocks working as microblocks, I'm just having problems with other mods. I have three mods I would like microblocks for, XBEE, BetterWorld and CustomStuff2. CS2 doesn't seem to want to work at all with it and if I add any BetterWorld ID's it seems to interfere with XBEE blocks. But this isn't your problem.
I have done some more research myself, read parts of the thread and have come to the conclusion that whilst the microblock mod can work well it is also quite buggy. The option to Enable NEI is not recommended to be used if you are adding a lot of blocks. It is NEI that causes the lag when showing the microblocks (because so many blocks are under one ID) and if enough blocks are added it can cause an error and a crash. As I learnt myself, it's quite easy to achieve if you set up an NEI subset. Turning off the NEI option and crafting the microblocks is the stable, lag free way. I plan on setting an afternoon aside this week to see what I can do about the other mods.
For now I'm just happy that XBEE blocks work, they're the main ones I wanted to use with it.
Thanks for the fixes and the naming additions in the new update - you're getting a little bit closer. Which modules do you still plan on adding the naming feature too? All of them or are you going to miss some out?
Greetings My Dear.
It was actually your post and the reply (in the RP2 thread) that led me to Immibis's thread. Like you, I had dismissed it earlier as just a replacement to one of RP2's features. It still wasn't clear that it could use modded blocks, not until I dug further.
I completely understand about how you feel towards NEI/TMI and survival. Using them as part of the regular game wouldn't really be right. The point of survival is to find, mine and craft/grow the things you need. For this I can see why some folks consider using them as 'cheating'. Those who use them in survival are not playing by the rules of the game. It would make it boring and defeat the point of it.
The difference with me is that whilst I agree with your sentiments, I sit on completely the other side to you. I play exclusively in creative and NEI is a huge help in that. It saves so much time. If I had to find and mine everything I would get very bored, very quickly. But then I also don't see creative as a game. Survival is the a game, creative is a world building program. That's how I approach it. Like you, I also use a lot of mods because it adds so much variety and I like to be able to think of something I want to do and have the tools (mods) there to do it right away.
What are octant blocks? I could probably look it up but I'm too tired at the moment.
I too like to add detail to things. The microblock strips are great for window sills, door frames, skirting boards and so on but these are just basic uses. I think mod support in LB was the biggest jump that mod has made. The range of possibilities increased so much, especially when combined with XBEE and any of the slopes mods.
UGOCraft is another of those amazing mods that deserves more attention. Along with XBEE and Little Blocks.
I think the vanilla block limitation for UGOCraft is the same one that used to stop Little Blocks from using mod blocks. That limitation being Modloader. Aside from version updates it hasn't changed for a long long time. It is so far behind the times. Little Blocks had to move to Forge to implement mod support so I'd imagine the same applies to UGOCraft. If only we knew someone who spoke Japanese so we could ask the creator about it.
I completely agree with you, and preach it to other people when they ask what it is that I like about Minecraft so much: I don't consider it a 'game' anymore, really. It's more a creative exercise, in the same way that playing my guitar isn't a hobby to me but a means of expressing myself. Creative mode definitely fits that bill, and I often find myself testing things for my server and, hours and a small castle later, realizing I was supposed to have this thing up and running a long time ago. I just find myself getting bored when solely in Creative mode.
Ahh, octant blocks were just my pseudo-intellectual way of saying eighth blocks or quarter slabs (slab corners if you use RP2). Sorry 'bout that. There used to be a TinyBlocks mod for 1.2.5 that allowed mod blocks to be chopped into slab corners, but dude didn't make it for SMP and dropped development for it. Since then I've been pining for a mod that would let me do that to modded blocks, and I know I'm not the only one elated by this recent turn of events.
The irony with LittleBlocks is, in practice I use it far less than RP2 MicroBlocks despite it being pretty much exactly what I've always wanted in a microblock mod. I fear the same with UGOCraft, though the reality of it being ported to Forge properly is pretty slim; the author has expressed a pretty heavy (yet unexplained) disdain for Forge. It'd still be tons of fun to piddle with in SSP; SMP folk like me though, we're boned. Ahh well. Cue MindKrafter being asked to add fluid rotation and movement mechanics to XtraBlocks in 3.. 2..
Having manually split up the SummerFields texture pack, it really is easier to deal with once it's done. Instead of having to open the texture sheet in an editor you can just drag and drop the ones you want to use.
After the initial inconvenience, it's much easier. Either way I'm waiting for this to update 'cause I love to build things with alternate textures.
Well, whilst he's at it, he may as well add coloured lighting (seeing as the official lighting engine rewrite is going the way of the mod API), fully integrated space travel to other planets with custom spaceships, time travel, wind and it's effects, realistic landscape height generation (i.e. very large sized mountains) and err...that's it for now. Should be done by next weekend.
Holy ass, colored lighting. I want. The y256 terrain gen would be nice too, though that's being worked on for ExtraBiomesXL v4 so I'm less wibbly-jibbly over it. Now if he coded in minetest's or Robinton's Cubic Chunks height gen.. mind=blown.
Hey MindKrafter! <shouts and waves> Skip the pavers - bring us Io!
It's sad that Minecraft actually had coloured lighting until they redid the engine sometime around the old 1.6 or 1.7. It was removed to support smooth lighting (or something) so I'm really hoping that the new rewrite will bring it back in. But as it was scheduled for 1.5 and has now been delayed - who knows? I would sooner have this than the mod API. The atmosphere it could create on a map would be incredible.
EBXL v4 will be a real game changer. There's just no other way to put it. Everytime I look at the piccies from Terrrain Control and imagine it integrated into EBXL I go all wibbly. I gather it will feature full customisation as well. I need to go and lie down.
When I read this post, I immediately thought of from the Better Animations Collection.. followed by a prompt nap.
I 100% agree on the colored lighting. Honestly? I'm no modder, but dudes/dudettes are putting out quality $#!+ as it is without the aid of an API, but no one is rewriting the lighting engine - in fact the only person I saw even mention colored lighting and Minecraft in the same statement was the RP2 dev, and it was in reference to her own game she was making.. like it's f'ing Fight Club or something.
RULE #1 - We do not talk about colored lighting.
RULE #2 - WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT COLO.. etc.
Sad, really, given Mojang's passive-agressive push for Adventure Mode to be more viable in the long-term, yet they overlook (or don't give high enough priority to) the effect dank lighting gives a user-made dungeon when their exploding mossy mottled dong-monsters do their.. you know.. their thing. Evil strongholds in the heart of a mountain ravine should not have BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT. Ever.
MindKrafter - ever since college I've been looking on the interwebs for a program that will let me download and eat chocolate, Star Trek TNG-style. I think you're the man to make that happen. Could you add that into XBEE please?
And just to keep this off-topic conversation on-topic I was wondering if there was anything left in vanilla Minecraft that XBEE hasn't already covered.
We have wood, metal, stone, glass, glow and cloth blocks, stairs and slabs. We also have fences, gates, walls, torches, switchable lamps, both door types, flowers, plant pots, bedrock, weapons, records, storage, vines, ladders, leaves, logs, food, buttons, trapdoors, pressure plates and....err....that's all I can think of for now. I believe liquids are being worked on so I'll count that in as some are already available.
The only two vanilla things I can think of are tools and the pumpkin masks that were mentioned a while ago, but I'm sure there's something else I missed. Any ideas?
Well there are always signs, boats, minecarts, levers, rails, and that's just off the top of my head. But I am really hoping that after all the Naming Code is complete that we get those Pumpkin Masks (I already have some textures for them done up. )
But, with the amount of work MindKrafter has done I am just going to be patient and enjoy the "tons" of content we have already.
Oh and there's always pistons, but there's other mods for them
Sort of the same with Signs too - PanicleCraft adds a really nifty sign mechanic and there's Eury's Signs mod too for different skins. Of course they could be expanded on. Though I don't see how Obsidian Signs would be practical.
Really, the only request I have for this mod is one I've already asked for - Forge Liquid API support. I'd actually, somewhat, in some distant part of my mind, consider XyCraft for the tanks alone if it meant I could have glowy green floors. I can't believe I'm putting that in writing. MindKrafter has so much good stuff in this mod, I'm hard-pressed to ask for anything that fits in the vanilla DIY style he has going here. I'd kind of feel a tad ungrateful really.. pretty much everything I've requested he's put in, so I'm a happy nerd.
I have been trying out the latest test version. Wow this mod is getting BIG! What an overhaul, everything is moved around, but worth it. The modular set up and organization is great. Now I just have to find where everything goes and fill in all the new block textures.
One thing that was a bit of a surprise was the # of configs. Might be nice to have them in there own DIYconfig folder. It seems that I have to hunt through 100s of configs when you have lots of mods.
Also could I get the block of IDs being used, blocks and items? Like 1000-?
GEEK ALERT: Replicators were actually in TOS first, they just weren't referenced as much and everyone seems to remember them from TNG. Gotta give props to the original where it's due.
I remember - you had to put a card in a slot, and your food popped out. One boy was disappointed that both his scoops of ice-cream were white.
And just to keep this off-topic conversation on-topic I was wondering if there was anything left in vanilla Minecraft that XBEE hasn't already covered.

I'm a creative player. I don't really use tools. I have made an assumption (perhaps unwisely) that XtraBlock players are mostly creative mode players. I'm sure there are survivalists out there, but this mod just lends itself so well to the creative community.
I would like to add:
More gravity blocks. We have sand, gravel, and TNT (when active). Gravity blocks plus pistons equals endless possibilities.
Also easy-burn blocks - blocks that when lit will spread instantly to the next easy-burn block, and will burn up almost as quickly. So you can have a really cool trap that will suddenly drop tonnes of sand on to a player or a mob.
Also growing/permeating blocks. I see several types here - the cancer kind, that will eat anything around them, replacing the space with itself. The moss/mold/plant kind, that will grow on surfaces but not into the air. And the "shrub" kind that will grow as a big leafy blob into the air, but stopping at solid objects.
With several different growth rates for each type, many new traps/defenses/amusements could be had. How about a maze with a fast-growing plant that you have to outrun? Or a hedge that requires trimming, but will eventually grow back? This would allow you to sculpt topiary, or hedge mazes, that over time you can change.

Any help with this would be most appreciated, as I am unable to play or build my server until this matter is cleared up.
thank you fir reading.
My MicroBlocks config.

I have located the problem with the slabs. In the process of fixing up all of the slab types now.
Should have an update out tonight.
Creative Minecrafter. No build is ever really complete, just "waiting for a better/prettier mod".
Fixed All slab blocks.
Fixed IDResolver conflict with XtraSlopes.
Added DIYAdmin and DIYStorage block naming code.
Block naming from config file, now applies to:
DIYCloth, DIYDiscs, DIYFood, DIYGlass, DIYGlow, DIYMetal,
DIYPanels, DIYStone, DIYWood, DIYAdmin and DIYStorage.

After the initial inconvenience, it's much easier. Either way I'm waiting for this to update 'cause I love to build things with alternate textures.
Well there are always signs, boats, minecarts, levers, rails, and that's just off the top of my head. But I am really hoping that after all the Naming Code is complete that we get those Pumpkin Masks (I already have some textures for them done up. )
But, with the amount of work MindKrafter has done I am just going to be patient and enjoy the "tons" of content we have already.
Oh and there's always pistons, but there's other mods for them
Really, the only request I have for this mod is one I've already asked for - Forge Liquid API support.
One thing that was a bit of a surprise was the # of configs. Might be nice to have them in there own DIYconfig folder. It seems that I have to hunt through 100s of configs when you have lots of mods.
Also could I get the block of IDs being used, blocks and items? Like 1000-?
Thanks Awesome mod.
It made me LOL
I remember - you had to put a card in a slot, and your food popped out. One boy was disappointed that both his scoops of ice-cream were white.
Creative Minecrafter. No build is ever really complete, just "waiting for a better/prettier mod".
