its not mandatory, if you looked, there is a download link on the front page because our website is down.........
Maniac claims the entity registering takes so long because your website is down, I'm asking if that is mandatory and if it will ever be configurable again. I'm not sure why the servers will need to connect to anything, and there is no way to disable it in the configuration anymore.
This mod is awesome!!!!!!! There is one glitch that me and my friend both had with one of the trainers. It's difficult to see his name but I think its Charles. His boy is all purple except one of his ankles, his head and about half of an arm. I really don't think it was mean't to look like that but, I don't know. It really isn't a HUGE deal but, I just wanted to point it out to help.
I know that the website is down, but I didn't know how to post a crash report. I downloaded the latest forge (the one that was posted earlier today), and I put Pixelmon 2.5.1 in my Mods folder, and my game won't launch past the Mojang logo. Any help?
Alright after reading a bunch of these i am pretty sure the reason why peoples servers aren't starting has to do with the operating system the server hosted on. We are also running a server with Linux with mcpc-plus for 1.6.4 and it is giving us the same exact error after initializing minecraft.jar and mcpc-plus.jar it gives an error trying to initialize pixelmon. So i believe they need to fix this i don't know if this is a fault with the operation system in general or if this is a fault with pixelmon. Though i highly doubt it is the fault of the OS because 2.3.1 worked perfectly fine. This has been really frustrating. If we weren't using plugins this wouldn't be a problem but for a server that depends on plugins this is a very big issue. I know you guys are hard at work and i know its been tough with the website crashing and all these extra bugs being throw around but please fix the issue. I know all of us would highly appreciate it. Thank You
But you're wrong about one thing, we can pay for hosting, we're just making sure we have backups worldwide, so don't talk about what you don't know
Geez I dont know why you're making such a big deal out of this. I'm just telling people what ghost said about the website. Unless i heard it wrong, but i did hear clearly about the overload thing
Simply put, no. There are things on the site that it needs to make sure things are set correctly.
Out of mere curiosity, what sorts of things? It wasn't necessary in 2.3, but then again a lots changed since then. It just seems more of a burden now with updates and now in theory if your website was to get attacked/ddosed then every pixelmon server would stop working - right?

I honestly feel like that they weren't actually expecting all this traffic. I mean i know when i got pixelmon it wasn't the biggest thing and then all the youtubers that were making videos attracted a bunch of attention. I'm not complaining about that attention i mean its great that so many people are enjoying this mod as much as i am. Pixelmon has gotten really popular with minecraft users.

As Cool said, we weren't expecting anything near this much traffic from the update. And no, they would still work.
