Great mod, but I have a question. I saw a video from only April where the pokemon had balls they were in. I thought it was fantastic. Now that I have this mod, they have a.. little window on the side. I don't have a pokeball for the pokemon? I liked the idea of a pokeball so much more. It was brilliant, this now seems to pale in comparison to the previous version of the mod.
But the reason I originally posted was to ask for a sort of quick guide for this mod. I don't know how to do anything from the front page -- how do I release pokemon? I figured out everything else on my own *sigh*.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I would like to be replied to as to how to release pokemon, please.
Edit: Also, I am completely unable to interact at all with my Abra (be it potion, rare candy, PokeChecker or whatever its name is) for it teleports before I can get any where near enough to interact with it. I'm very disappointed and after having this mod for only 2 hours I've already uninstalled and washed my hands of it.

I'm pretty sure you press P, which can be changed in your controls menu. You can scroll between your pokemon with the { and } keys, can also be changed.

Yes, I know how to call out the pokemon, though releasing them seems to be the problem.

Oh, I thought you meant how to release them from their pokeballs to fight or whatever. Anyways, you can't as of now, they're working on PC's which are coming next update I'm pretty sure, and I think there's going to be a way to release them using the PC.
You'll just have to wait it out.

Ah, patience is something I'm good at. Well, I'll be sure to stick around, and thank you very much for answering my questions!

The primary reason for moving away from pokeballs was that we had so many complaints of people dying and losing all their pokemon. There were other reasons too, from a coding point of view the pokeball method was rather unstable and it was going to be impossible to keep track of who's pokemon was who's and what was going on with storage and stuff so the move the the (AWESOME) gui was made. If you want your say on this sort of issue though, head over to our forums and start a topic there. The forums are filled with good conversation and debate and we make nearly all our design decisions through there.
For your other questions, we do have a wiki that hopefully has all the info you need regarding how the mod works, if it doesn't, post on our forums and someone will get round to fixing it up.

I liked the pokeballs to be honest. Mainly because its more like pokemon, and it made things simpler when it came to sending them out. The healing table seems all the more weird because of it. Im thinking have a pokeball icon in your inventory but in its own little section like the crafting bit is. And only pokeballs can go there. Makes things simpler, but I suppose that doesn't fix the storage stuff.

Check out this EPIC game VoidSpace, a Work-In-Progress, cross-platform universe MMO. I'm more excited for this game than I am for everything else... except CIV: Beyond Earth http://strt.cc?r=ZGFob29wc0BsaXZlLmNvbQ__
Its in development, Me and hrioku & GodOf_War are working on trainers I've just finished Gary/Blue, check it out its on the forums (Pixelmon Forums)
Cool, well, I have some time until I need to implement them in my map. Only gyms right now are Brock and Misty (I'm doing them out of order on purpose)
