Light effect ? (flash, lightning,...), maybe make it laid blocks that will explode on contact with entity.
Or maybe a decentered crater : After the crater as been dug it suck in big chunk of outside land, making a bigger crater and leaving some sort of apocalypse floating island in the middle. (if the last explanation was confusing,I apologize)
And if you are redesigning, I got to say that I am a little disappointed by the red matter black hole effect : I expected a little more like a black spinning impressive thing that suck out bloc rather than some sort of red chimney.
Maybe the antimatter missile can have a lasting "field" that follows a system similar to leaf decay or something. Take the nether portal effect, make it into a cube, and when it detonates have it just replace these blocks with this sphere of damaging energy that make is kill on contact. It'll decay slowly. This way if you hammer someone with an antimatter missile they can't jump in right away to put another layer of blocks down.
I know thats not the most anti-mattery thing but beyond increasing the radius to X size for the antimatter, it would be cool to have some unique effects.

have the small missiles of the broken up main one target area of choice and then also a random scatter option
I just fixed this issue. Working now. Also the radar's redstone pulse worked all the time. You guys just didn't wire it properly. The launcher screen receives redstone pulses like a piston so your redstone wire has to directly go into the launcher screen (no turning or curving) or you can use a redstone repeater if you like.
what i mean about the radar's redstone pulse is it doesnt disappear. it will stay on once it detected a hostile missile.

Lol I can't make the black hole effect. Minecraft has no dynamic lighting and the lighting can't be changed without stuff like shaders mod. There is no perfect way you can make an actual black hole without using dynamic lighting. That said, Pheenixm uses an overlay draw image to "simulate" his black hole but when actually it's not black at all. I am willing to change anything to what most people want, so give me a good suggestion and I will try to do it within the constraints of Minecraft.

For antimatter? I'm not sure. But in theory wouldn't antimatter emit a brief flash of light, when it comes into contact with matter? At least that's what I've read concerning big bang theories.
So what I would suggest is that for every layer that is stripped, by the antimatter explosive, a small flash of light bursts from the deleted blocks, signalling its disintergration. This would continue until the explosive hits bedrock.
Other than increasing the radius slightly, I'm not really sure what you can add to it.

Now that i think about it, that bug appeared when you released the new version where the anti balistic missile would negate the exploding effects of the targetted missile.

I now that you can't make it really appear black in minecraft, but when I say more than a black hole it meant just something like the particle forming a whirl rather than the actual chimney. And maybe a distortion effect like the nausea when you came too close to it. And it need to be more destructive because for now, it is really not that powerful when you know how expensive red matter will be. If I want to make a 30 blocks wide crater, I use 2 TNT and its done. So it is cooler looking but not that much powerful

You need Forge 3.3.8.164. You got the recommended version. Don't. Get the latest version.
You can move doors and beds on zeppelins in the mod.

Good news everyone. I have decided to start working on SMP after this Friday's update since Minecraft 1.3 will be out pretty soon...
