IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST SOMETHING ABOUT THE AETHER, PLEASE READ THIS
The Aether, it's a great mod, and I have never found anyone who can deny falling in love with it while playing it. It is O.K. if you like the Aether mod better than this mod, and that is completely understandable. The Aether mod is bigger, more complete, and has been designed with professional textures that pull you right in. There is just one problem, the Aether fans do not seem to know what "helpful criticism" is. They seem to only know what "ranting" and "insulting" are. If you truly do not like the mod, that is fine. This mod is made for fun in the spare time of a Minecraft-and-Programming-loving 14-year old boy. If you do like the mod, then that is wonderful! It brings great joy when someone says "great" or "awesome mod" on the post. If you don't like the mod, then you can always post ideas and helpful criticism to enhance the mod.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope you consider what is written before posting. Thank you to all who have given ideas toward the mod!

Looking for a Mob Modeler to Join the Team
If you would like to join, please start message with me. In your message, please include other mods you have made (if any) and any kind of sample of your work (please note that I cannot see Techne models since I have a Mac). You do not have to texture the mobs, but if you can, that is a plus.

Aurorae Desert and Desert Pyramid
The deserts in the Aurorae are surprisingly the safest place in the mod. No bad guy Geodes-Wades spawning here. The only danger is the rare Flame Spitter. In the desert, The biome is made of these blocks:
The first one is Solid Sand. A pretty useless, dull block. But the second one... is probably my favorite addition to this update. It behaves like sand in the Overworld. Except, it goes upwards. The desert also contains a new ore called quartz. Currently has no uses.
4. Add the mods files from the folder called "Add to minecraft.jar" to minecraft.jar.
5. Add the mods files from the folder called "Add to resources" to the resources folder.

Flame Spitter
You know how they say plants are friendly? This one isn't. If you go near it, It will burn you with blasts of fire balls. If you do kill it, it will drop flame paste, which has no current use...
Phoenix
Phoenixes are this mods first tamable creature. Give it some Aestus and it will be your life long friend. Just be careful when approaching it. When it is untamed it will set fire to any block that it walks on.
Alchemy Table
What would a moonstone sword be like when it's enchanted? Well it's about time you found out! With this Alchemy Table, you can enchant the Aurorae tools and armor.
4. Add the mods files from the folder called "Add to minecraft.jar" to minecraft.jar
5. Add the mods files from the folder called "Add to resources" to the resources folder.

The Geodes and the Wades are the same type of mob. Both jump around and try to kill you, but will spawn at different times. At night, the Geodes will spawn, and during the day the Wades will spawn. The both burn up in the times opposite to their spawning.
Arena and Over Cloud
Arena is a fungus-like block, it grows off the sides of the floating islands. The Over Cloud is a cloud-like block that floats around the islands.
Modus
Modus is a melon-like plant that is fairly rare and is found in bunches on the islands. It drops Modus slices which can be eaten.

V1.1.0
Updates:
- New Mobs: Aulephant and Ignis
- New tools: Sunstone and Moonstone
- New Rings: Jade and Flame
Sunstone and Moonstone Tools
The Sunstone and Moonstone tools both work as well as diamond. The Sunstone item can only be obtained through killing an ignis. The only way to get Moonstone tools is through an Ignis Dungeon.
Ignis Dungeon
This dungeon is home to the hostile mobs known as the Ignis (and a few Jade Spiders). These dungeons are rarer than the Pyramids and will be generated underground with a small outcrop on top of land. They are made of Ignis Brick, a new block.
Aulephant
These peaceful creatures drop Jade Shards and Austone. They have a small chance of dropping a Jade Ring when killed. This is the only way to get a Jade Ring.
Ignis
These mobs will attack you with an onslaught of fireballs. When killed, they drop Sunstone. This is the only way to obtain Sunstone.
New Rings
The Jade Ring will protecting you for 2.5 armor points. It will last for 200 rounds. The Flame Ring will protect you completely, but will only last for 10 rounds. The flame ring is crafted using Sunstone like this:

3. Add the mods files to minecraft.jar
4. Delete META-INF
5. Open up minecraft and play!
V1.0.0
Welcome to the Aurorae! The Aurorae is a new sky dimension with new mobs, ores, and dungeons. Enter a dimension of wonder and mystery through a cobblestone portal activated with a torch!
First, get a few bits of ore. Here shown is the coal equivalent Aestus and the Iron equivalent Jade. These two ores can be easily found on the side of the floating islands. Aestus can be used for fuel in a furnace and Jade can be crafted into tools.
These three tools sets are Redwood, Jade, and Austone. These are crafted the same way as normal tools but with the ore found in the Aurorae.
The Aurorae contains huge dungeons just waiting to be explored! The dungeons are made of two different blocks: Copper Brick and Austone Brick.
There has also been a slight change to your inventory. 4 new slots have been added next to the armor slots. In those you can put "addons." Addons are items that have certain abilities to help in battle. Currently there are two: The Aufeather and the Frost Ring. The Aufeather can be crafted with a Aestus and a feather. It gives 10 armor points but will only last for 20 hits. The Frost Ring can only be found in dungeons, and will protect for a lot longer than the Aufeather.
For additional info on mobs, you can look under the spoiler to see the BETA versions, under the name "Caelum."

If you want to try this mod, you need to add all the files to the minecraft.jar and then use MCP to decompile it. After, you can run from within MCP using the startclient.bat batch file.

V1.0 Beta
The Caelum is a brand new sky dimension and has only begun its making so currently there is not much to be seen. Many additions are planned (giant pyramid dungeons, bosses, ores, etc.) and will be added in future versions. Caelum has its own grass, dirt, and stone.
Caets
Caets are the Ocelots of the sky! These creatures roam around in the Redwood Forest biome. When killed, they drop leather.
Wolfinfs
Wolfinfs are wolfs with wings. These creatures spawn in large groups on the Plain biome. When killed they drop feathers.
Jade Spider
The Jade Spiders are a vicious group of creatures during the night, but are harmless (unless provoked) during the day. They spawn in dark areas and during the night they crawl out of their caves to attack.
Redwoods
Redwoods are giant trees that grow in the forests of Caelum. With their wood you can make Redwood Planks.
Portal
The portal (currently) is made with cobblestone and activated with a wooden torch.
2. Add Pudelhunds Dimension API and Modloader files to minecraft.jar
3. Add the mods files to minecraft.jar
4. Delete META-INF

Connections
Look, I'm going to be completely honest. I've never used Twitter, I don't know how to use Twitter, I'm not even sure if I should be capitalizing the word Twitter, but I made an account, and I hope you follow me for updates, pre-releases and images.
Very nice, I love the trees. How about instead of a sky dimension, it is a distant planet with connected terrain? I just don't like skylands terrain. I fall too much.
I think this ha quite a lot of potenal, although it does seem like a little bit of a copy of the aether. With that aside, great work, I hope you can continue work and this has a lot of potential! : D
I really like the idea and I love how it's simple yet really fun
Here is an idea just off the top of my head, add sky deserts, to me this would make the mod really stand out since not many mods add in sky deserts!
But I suggest you add some more! Maybe, being able to craft a special saddle (like Mo Creatures for horses) so you can ride the wolves. Maybe also make some ore that acts like coal in the dimension, and and add the ability to make crafting table's with Redwood Planks?

Thanks for your time.

Now I feel stupid for adding door crafting and chest crafting for the planks, yet forgetting a crafting table. I will add that when I get a chance. I also like the coal equivalent idea. Maybe I will put up a pole to see what the ore should be called.

I knew aether would be mentioned, and I am already working on some different aspects.
I'll try to make a patch so that OptiFine will work with it in the near future.
Yes, yes it is.
Only a suggestion.

I am working on things like that.
I am currently working on this error, try installing the mod with only modloader and caelum (without pudelhunds API).
Yes, I'm hoping the API will allow users to install multiple dimension mods with this one.
That error is now fixed.
It looks great! I will add this to the post when i get a chance.
