refresh ur jar and dont install modloader,because the lastest version of minecraft forge doesnt like it and with forge it has a modloader with it that is compatible with forge and most modloader mods,if you mix modloader with the latest minecraft forge it will be like :Flint and Steel: + =your minecraft is done for!.....hope this helps
Actually, I believe they now are. ModLoader mods are not incompatible with Forge, but installing Risugami's ModLoader alongside Forge will, as far as I've heard from the forge devs and people who have tried it, cause some fireworks. Personally, I have not done it since Forge ModLoader was made client-side.

It's not rumors, it's fact. You got lucky, others won't.
the server version haven't been tested much so there may be some bugs.
Are you the one who's keeping track of Custom EMC for now? If so, I feel I should point something from the previous version which popped up while using it: I've discovered that some items (like the Zombie Brain from ThaumCraft, specifically) would register as being "Learned" when placed in a Transmutation Table on the left side, but will not show in the right side. I doubt this has to do with a damage value issue, since many vanilla Minecraft items use the same value system. This appeared also with the various Thaum Crystals, but NOT the Vis Crystal which does not use a damage value.
I wasn't sure if this was corrected in the new version or not; but I wanted to mention it. BTW, it has the same issue with other Mods which use damage values; so I ruled out dirty pool on ThaumCraft's end.
I LOVE this mod, been using it for at least EEv4, when 512 cobblestone equalled a diamond
I have a suggestion though, with alchemy bags. I have trouble remembering what stores what, so maybe we could be able to re-name alchemy bags?
That is why they have different colors. Decide what color should go with whatever items you are wanting to store, and try to keep things consistent when sorting to bags.
For instance, keep RP2 stuff to a red bag, IC2 stuff to yellow, pipes to orange, tools and misc junk to white, buildcraft to blue, spare link books and book resources to grey, purple for thaumcraft, pink for misc mod stuff, green for forestry, ect, ect... Just make your own system and stick to it across playthroughs depending on what mods you have installed.

Now that that's out of the way. Unless things have change then I believe this is the format for adding items to Custom Emc in the \.minecraft\config\CustomEMC.cfg file (you have to run minecraft once with the mod in the mods folder):
AddEMC ID:damage,EMC or ID,EMC
There are examples in this file (CustomEMC.cfg), check it and before you come here and ask more stupid questions actually read the file, all of it, everything with a # in front of it should be read, then if you have questions, come back, but then if you have questions you probably didn't read it all.
Hey guys, currently putting together a release to make EE2 compatible with Forestry again. This time going with a Reflection based method of assigning values rather than the old method of including the Forestry API (basically, mashing in the addon I have for Forestry in EE3 into EE2).
I'll do some testing with it first, then release.

Out of curiosity, were there other issues besides needing to delete the Forestry folder? I hadn't really tried playing with the two mods yet, since Forestry updated. I just finished reinstalling everything to try something this afternoon and had to run off and do RL stuff.

Items that have damage requires to be added via AddMeta to make it show up properly in the TT.

FACT: They may, in some circumstances, cause problems with some mods.
NOT FACT: They will, under no circumstances, work together and combining them will crash your game.
I agree that modloader should be fazed out, it isn't needed anymore. I am also, however, sick and tired of people with an error being told "FoRge ANd MoDLOader Aren'T CompATiblE!!!11! YOU're CoMpUTER Will EXPLode And YoU'Re MOm wiLL get HIT By A cAr!1!!!"
Advise them to remove it, but don't tell them that is the problem go away. I have yet to see removing modloader actually fix someone's problem. Every time they have come back with the same/another error.

No the problem is that people can't read for sh*t. Go find CustomEMC.cfg and actually read it and then see if you can find a lack of basic details.

There's AddAsFuel which sets it to a fuel... who would have guessed
There's AddMeta to fix all those annoying ones... Slightly harder to deduce but fairly obvious
There's AddUnrepairable to make something not repairable via the Talisman of Repair... hmm how odd
There's AddOreBlock to get your handy dandy DM/RM tools to function correctly on random-mod ores... What do ya know, how convenient.
At the top there is also a nice little hint for those having issues. "Be sure to add 256 for items."... This is probably the part 99% of them skip, cause well, they can't read for sh*t.

As for those of you that have difficulty finding out the ID's and damage values, you could check the other .cfg files! It's amazing what might be in them you know, like.... configuration type stuff, such as ID's, hence the .cfg. (Also check the .props files, well just about anything in there that isn't a .jar check it out) And there's always NEI to see ID's and damage, but most likely if you can't figure out any of the above, you probably can't get NEI to install properly and view ID/damage anyway. And if you manged to install NEI properly and you can't seem to figure it out, well you MIGHT have grounds for a complaint, but most likely you're not giving yourself enough credit in being able to figure out Custom EMC.
If you have an issue with things not working and you're sure you've covered EVERYTHING (freaking EVERYTHING) in the .cfg file and it still doesn't work, PM me (preferably with a polite pm) stating your problem and I will assist you in correcting it.
Found a bug on the latest EE2 and BuildCraft 3.1.6, since the quarry picks up dropped items when it mines, it can pick up the "loot ball" item, and it goes into your chests. It doesn't do anything but is bug im assuming, so just letting you know.

Do you have audiomod installed? EE2 no longer requires it. That's the first thing that comes to mind that would cause a sound error. If that isn't it I don't know.

Are you the one who's keeping track of Custom EMC for now? If so, I feel I should point something from the previous version which popped up while using it: I've discovered that some items (like the Zombie Brain from ThaumCraft, specifically) would register as being "Learned" when placed in a Transmutation Table on the left side, but will not show in the right side. I doubt this has to do with a damage value issue, since many vanilla Minecraft items use the same value system. This appeared also with the various Thaum Crystals, but NOT the Vis Crystal which does not use a damage value.
I wasn't sure if this was corrected in the new version or not; but I wanted to mention it. BTW, it has the same issue with other Mods which use damage values; so I ruled out dirty pool on ThaumCraft's end.

That is why they have different colors. Decide what color should go with whatever items you are wanting to store, and try to keep things consistent when sorting to bags.
For instance, keep RP2 stuff to a red bag, IC2 stuff to yellow, pipes to orange, tools and misc junk to white, buildcraft to blue, spare link books and book resources to grey, purple for thaumcraft, pink for misc mod stuff, green for forestry, ect, ect... Just make your own system and stick to it across playthroughs depending on what mods you have installed.

Now that that's out of the way. Unless things have change then I believe this is the format for adding items to Custom Emc in the \.minecraft\config\CustomEMC.cfg file (you have to run minecraft once with the mod in the mods folder):
AddEMC ID:damage,EMC or ID,EMC
There are examples in this file (CustomEMC.cfg), check it and before you come here and ask more stupid questions actually read the file, all of it, everything with a # in front of it should be read, then if you have questions, come back, but then if you have questions you probably didn't read it all.

Out of curiosity, were there other issues besides needing to delete the Forestry folder? I hadn't really tried playing with the two mods yet, since Forestry updated. I just finished reinstalling everything to try something this afternoon and had to run off and do RL stuff.
Items that have damage requires to be added via AddMeta to make it show up properly in the TT.

FACT: They may, in some circumstances, cause problems with some mods.
NOT FACT: They will, under no circumstances, work together and combining them will crash your game.
I agree that modloader should be fazed out, it isn't needed anymore. I am also, however, sick and tired of people with an error being told "FoRge ANd MoDLOader Aren'T CompATiblE!!!11! YOU're CoMpUTER Will EXPLode And YoU'Re MOm wiLL get HIT By A cAr!1!!!"
Advise them to remove it, but don't tell them that is the problem go away. I have yet to see removing modloader actually fix someone's problem. Every time they have come back with the same/another error.

Even on the Initial post it says pwnedgod not pahimar on who actually works on CustomEMC in the very first post so asking who is keeping track of CustomEMC for now is a bit wrong because pwnedgod has been the ONLY one to work on it.
The problem most people have that are not good at modding is that even the config file that is created doesn't have enough basic details for people and they would prefer a way to see a bit more details like damage values and exactly where everything should go.
Currently most people have to rely on others just to get an example instead of it being generated by the config itself. Do not know about the current version but if the config is still the same then people will still need others to help them understand any of this.
No the problem is that people can't read for sh*t. Go find CustomEMC.cfg and actually read it and then see if you can find a lack of basic details.

There's AddMeta to fix all those annoying ones... Slightly harder to deduce but fairly obvious
There's AddUnrepairable to make something not repairable via the Talisman of Repair... hmm how odd
There's AddOreBlock to get your handy dandy DM/RM tools to function correctly on random-mod ores... What do ya know, how convenient.
At the top there is also a nice little hint for those having issues. "Be sure to add 256 for items."... This is probably the part 99% of them skip, cause well, they can't read for sh*t.

Then maybe you should just not use it because you're obviously not capable of using it, I.E. you're probably dumb.
Note: Content of spoilers not specifically directed at person quoted... they're directed at anyone and everyone that didn't read CustomEMC.cfg before asking stupid questions and complaining.
As for those of you that have difficulty finding out the ID's and damage values, you could check the other .cfg files! It's amazing what might be in them you know, like.... configuration type stuff, such as ID's, hence the .cfg. (Also check the .props files, well just about anything in there that isn't a .jar check it out) And there's always NEI to see ID's and damage, but most likely if you can't figure out any of the above, you probably can't get NEI to install properly and view ID/damage anyway. And if you manged to install NEI properly and you can't seem to figure it out, well you MIGHT have grounds for a complaint, but most likely you're not giving yourself enough credit in being able to figure out Custom EMC.
If you have an issue with things not working and you're sure you've covered EVERYTHING (freaking EVERYTHING) in the .cfg file and it still doesn't work, PM me (preferably with a polite pm) stating your problem and I will assist you in correcting it.
Do you have audiomod installed? EE2 no longer requires it. That's the first thing that comes to mind that would cause a sound error. If that isn't it I don't know.
