Will/can this mod be made for SMP, a server side install? I play on a sever in my house, and would love to have this info for the villages I'm building.
I'm having a lot of trouble getting this to work with Rei's Minimap, even reading instructions everyone else has found useful, with no luck. I really really love this mod and Rei's, but it's the version that runs with Rei's that i've confirmed is the problem. Adding the atr.class gets me to a black screen, every time. I had them working fine together in an earlier version. I'm using Magic Launcher, but even manually going in with a fresh jar and putting in Modloader, Rei's, then Villageinfo, deleting meta inf, gets me the black screen.
1.7.10 is total cake , nocakeing any caked recipe work , tried to make el steel now furnace kick coal out , srsly all mods that was upraded to 1.7.10 is stink cake
just delete this caking mod and install 1.6.4 they work at least or make your own mod without caking yourself all day and night because there is some caked recipe that dont caked work

It's certainly possible, but no plans as of now, sorry.

Really weird. I just tested both methods and it worked without any hiccups. I first installed Modloader I got from there: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v147-risugamis-mods-updated/ , then the latest rei, and village info last (VillageInfo_1.4.6_Rei_3.2_06.zip). Maybe you got the wrong villageinfo?

Okay, thanks. I'll re-download all the above mods and try again.

So first; I love this mod. I would kill to get it to work in multiplayer...
But, I've had golems spawning WAY outside the spawn area (I've built this massive iron farm on our private server - and golems keep ending up where they shouldn't (and where the mod says is outside the spawn zone). Any idea if the mod is just wrong? I'm using the latest update (as far as I know - I'm redownloading it again; just in case...)
how do i uninstall i want to use another mod now but i cant see it when i press F3 other than that the mod was awesome i used it to create a giant villager farm
If the other mod uses atr.class as well (inside the downloaded zip file) you can simply install that mod the usual way, and village info will be overwritten. I think any mod that uses the F3 screen should contain that file.
If that doesn't help and you're sure you installed the other mod the right way, you have to redownload the original jar file. You can do so by starting the original launcher (minecraft.exe) after deleting/renaming your old minecraft.jar. Then the launcher should download a clean copy of minecraft.jar.

PLEASE consider it! I would love to get this as well. It's such an awesome mod.
Oops, sorry for the late reply, missed your post before
The mod should say you're in the spawning zone if:
- your x and z coordinates are at least that of the village center - 8, and at most center + 7
- your y coordinate is at least that of the center -3, and at most +2
If that's not the case, it's a bug of the mod.
Could it be that the golems spawned in a different village?

No worries But no, no other village. It's actually a golem farm (iron) - there are 2 spawning pads; and the golems are pushed down into a channel that eventually takes them to lava and kills them. The mod reports the spawning pads as being the only place golems can spawn; but they spawn on areas that aren't saying 'inside spawning zone' (or whatever it is...) - I have figured ways around it; I built stairs around the pads - and now they always (seem to) spawn in the pad... But the mod says one thing; and the golems are doing something else (from time to time...)
(side note - this is weird; I can't hit enter inside the post... :/ Stupid IE10...)
- have you deleted meta-inf?
- did you use the awq.class from the download file VillageInfo_1.5.zip?
- did you copy the class file into a clean minecraft.jar file (version 1.5)?
That's normal, especially with big villages. Sometimes houses get detached from the village if there's no villager nearby for some time. As soon as a villager approaches the house again, they get readded to the village.
A few versions back (1.2.3 I think), this was much more noticable because a single house could get added multiple times.
Hello I would like to say your mod is very helpful in determining if a village spawn an iron golem. Here I made a mod review for your mod. I hope you enjoy

Crap, sorry for having missed this. Awesome spotlight. Like the thumbnail, too =)
When I load up with Magic Launcher, it says it has an error (of course forge does this too). But, 1.5 didn't have that message - so figured I'd pass that along. Everything seems to be working fine tho.
Der! It helps to read the logs:
"Missing class member: public Ljava/lang/Object; zan, class: aww, mod: VillageInfo_1.5.1.zip"
I can't use Minimap and VillageInfo together either. I forced update to get a fresh jar, then used mcpatcher 3.0.2, then copied files from REIMinimap_v3.3_04 to jar, then copied files from Villageinfo_1.5.1 to jar. VillageInfo works, but it appears to overwrite Minimap. I beleive I am doing everything correctly based on previous posts and responses. Could mcpatcher be messing things up? mcpatcher removes the meta file, and I verified that it had been deleted. Also, I am using the awq class file from VillageInfo 1.5, which I believe is what was suggested earlier in this thread.
I was surprised I got it to work, but it does! Great mod!

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.
Enjoy =)
