GUIDE:
To access the Miner's Dimension, you must first obtain the Silk Touch enchantment for a pickaxe. Next you must build a frame similar to that of the Nether portal, but out of Coal Ore (you use your pickaxe with silk touch to harvest coal ore.) Next light the inside on fire and teleport away. Once in the dimension, you have 64 layers of stone with ore mixed in to dig through. Any ore can appear anywhere. A good strategy is to wander the surface and dig up the ore that you are looking for first.

Mining is easy because there are no obnoxious caves to get in the way
If you actually took time to read the thread, you'd know :smile.gif:
He's asking how to get the Coal Ore- oreCoal- which you get coal from when you mine. There is (as of right now) no way to legitly get the ores from a Vanilla Minecraft. So, did you add a way to get the Coal Ore, which are the building pieces of your portal?

You can also use pistons to move the ores (Albeit it is quite tedious, a normal sized vein can provide enough for a portal), and the fact that they are way easier to get than Silk Touch, it makes it a bit overpowered, since it provides easy diamonds.

If you noticed, Diamonds are somewhat rare, besides, Silk Touch is hard to get.......
It's awesome I tried it out and 2 hours later I had 2000 coal 4 stacks of diamond 3 stacks of gold 7 stacks of lapis 10 stacks of redstone and now I need more chests!! xD
This looks really cool. My only suggestion would be to make the portal material more expensive; maybe lapis or even diamond? Pretty sweet mod otherwise, and the difficulty of accessing it (argh silk touch argh) makes it balanced.

Looks nice, though like everyone else I have some suggestions.
1: It needs more variation in the landscape. Flat is no fun.
2: Stony mobs! For example, Bolldres, which look like slightly rounded slimes. They just sit there unless you hit them with a pickaxe (swords do nothing to them), and then they may start to hop after you. Smashing a Bolldre would drop cobblestone and have a chance to drop :Diamond:, :GoldBar:, :Iron:, :Coal:, or :Flint:, decreasing from rarer to commoner.
3: You didn't mention if they do already, but if they don't, ores from other mods should spawn here too. What good is all this open landscape without some copper, tin, silver, or uranium?
This mod was created due to a request for it. It adds a dimension full of ores for mining.
The request can be found Here

Silk Touch.
That's true.
Well. I feel like an ****.
But the enchantments are so random- vanilla ones, at least. There should be an alternative way.

Use a pick with silk touch.
