Geat mod i love pistons and redstone so i will downlad this. do you think you can try to make it for the new snatshot for week 6? they added really cool things in the snap shot and i wanted to play with both the pistons and snpashot. thanks :smile.gif:

atleast the pistons don't dissapear with this setup now, but now there are those two bugged ones
EDIT: it seems to happen at 4x3 only so far i know, 3x3 works just fine

EDIT3: apparently the pistons don't extend if there is not enough space, or something else is causing weird things

The original Pistons mod already just changes the function of a piston to launch entities, so theres no need to wait :biggrin.gif:
Also, to make regular pistons be able to push mod pistons vice versa and if you want to change the class files in the mc.jar just take that class file in minecraft, alter it and then put it in the mod. that should allow you to alter the class file. For example, movement alterers in minecraft like Smart Moving contain a class file that's the same name as one of the minecraft class files, and just contains similar stuff but altered.
Yes but then other people wouldn't be able to alter that class file. Unless they download my mod and add to it but it might give off some errors. Do you see the problem?

I have a few suggestions for pistons:
-You can make pistons that can grab onto mobs or players
-Also you can make pistons with spikes at the end to damage mobs or players.

I have a question, the piston with spikes, will it be when extends it hurts you once? Or it keeps hurting you when its extended?

I think that whenever a mob or player is in contact with the piston with spikes they should be repeatedly damaged until they move away, whether its powered or not.
If you do make a spike piston then maybe a sticky spike piston can grab onto players and they cant let get away, until they die.
Very nice, I will surely have some fun with this mod. And about the spike pistons, I would love to see them implemented, or just spikes themselves, to be pushed by the pistons, but that may be going into seperate mod territory.

Add a piston that would camouflage by Right clicking said piston then a gui would open and put a block on the Free space box thingy. example if you want the piston to look like a dirt block,right click on it then put the dirt block in the box thingy in the gui,then the piston would change texture to a dirt texture.. just like Risugami's Flood gate mod.or you could just open up a recipe to make it into a dirt block but still a piston. it's fine if you would not put this idea in the mod.. just trying to help :tongue.gif:
