The villages weren't made to spawn on hills, that's why they get weird like that. I think it makes them more interesting, but if people want me to I can try to fix it. As for animals, they use the modern spawning.
I'll take a look at that water bug.
Actually I did look at it before release, but apparently I didn't look at it hard enough to make it behave. :dry.gif:
Do you think you'll ever be able to reproduce the old island generator version?
With islands overlapping and making dark spots for mobs to spawn on during the day? And you would have to climb up and down to get anywhere :tongue.gif:
I really miss that...

Deep, floating maps? Those are supported.
After clicking create world, you'll get to choose what kind of world you want it to be.
Deep maps use the new world height thing they added to minecraft so I would guess the crash is related to that. Do you have any other mods installed and do you get an error message?
Try turning down the render distance. Far render distance is not supported on deep maps when using 32-bit java. Deep maps need double memory, which is too much for only 32 bits.
Ive found that alot of floating sand and gravel generate...
That happens in the actual indev generator as well. A fun thing to do is to stand on one edge of the sand, remove a block and try to outrun the falling sand.

Why don't you see for yourself? :wink.gif:

Using a shovel on grass (Nuclear waste color) doesn't affect the mining speed.

I created a type of indev world and my minecraft crashed, when I load it back up and play on the world I just created, it still crashes.
Here is the options I chose:
Type: Inland
Shape: Deep
Size: Small
Theme: Normal
It crashes if you try to gen a deep floating world. But, how you got indev into 1.1? AWSOMESAUCE.EXE!
WE NEEDZ DA FIXINGZ

Gen Options:
Floating
Deep
Normal
Paradise
Mods:
Generator Ports for Minecraft V 5.1
Modloader 1.1
EDIT: Works On Normal and 2GB ram on 64-BIT Java 7. :smile.gif:
EDIT2: So some kind of Bug with Far Render?
There should actually be a warning if you select far rendering while using 32-bit java.
I Can run Cubic Chunks Just fine though.. Odd.
Anyway, It crashes when i put it on Far..
But, anyway. Its fine... CAUSE I HAS INDEV IN 1.1!

I find that really funny.
I will later.
Whoops, pardon me then >_>
Sorry 'bout that.
