i feel RC3 still needs some work to iron out the bugs, especially:
-black bar on the horizon
-random white streaks appearing momentarily anywhere on the screen
-general artifacting/chunks flickering
however! day/night lighting looks great. torches/lamps could be toned down a bit and made less orange but i guess that's very subjective, after all fire does give off an orange glow in reality, but maybe it should be rethought for gameplay purposes.
bloom is welcomed and makes things look great, but it could also use a toning down or an option to control it.
there is an effect occurring that looks a bit like chromatic aberration in photography. trees and other things have a slight blue glow around them like purple fringing.
fire effects on mobs look great btw!
is it possible to make lamps white/yellow and keep torches somewhat orange?
I've followed the instructions (which he deleted) on Sonic's Facebook page and everytime this is what i end up with:
My GPU is a NVidia GTX275.
So, you unpacked Optifine into a clean minecraft.jar and ran the installer? This may be due to some mod incompatibilities then if you installed them afterwards.
Hi, will it run (or how will it run) on this pc? :
Intel Core i5 - 2500
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 (hopefully newest drivers)
8 GB of RAM
I tried the Ultra version with a 16 texture pack (plus optifine) and it lagged horribly D:
If this should run, could you give me some tips how to?
Help is greatly appreciated
Someone posted in the FB before it was deleted a pre-made jar with optifine, glsl, sonic 10rc3, and some tweaks for the orange lighting and waving grass:
-black bar on the horizon
-random white streaks appearing momentarily anywhere on the screen
-general artifacting/chunks flickering
there is an effect occurring that looks a bit like chromatic aberration in photography. trees and other things have a slight blue glow around them like purple fringing.
I'm having the same issues, with my Nvidia GTX 570.
Other than that, it looks awsome

It is called glare. You can disable it in final.fsh.
Though for this mod, your FPS will most likely plummet, as I run at about 55-80 with the shader and my 128x pack, and you are about the same without. I am using a 6870 with a Core 2 Quad 3GHz. The 30FPS was what I thought you would get with the shader active.
Ah thank you for clearing that up! I've been playing with the small screen lately and I've been getting around 150 fps with a 64x pack.

Also try out doing fullscreen and changing the resolution in-game, because full-screen is a lot more optimized than just maximizing the window, and changing the resolution would probably help as well =3

Seriously? Do you even know what GTX 560 does? It's a decent GPU. Capable of getting at least 30 fps on 1080p. I used to have GTX 460 which is powerful as 560 and I get 30-40 fps on 1080p with 256x.
I have a problem...
So I had a couple mods installed, and I tried it, following the instructions, but every time it keeps on doing this weird thing were it seems like it's ready, but the actual screen is a weird color... it's hard to describe.
Any help?
UPDATE: I have tried resetting .minecraft numerous times now. I got Optifine, had it setup, everything, same thing.
I need help. I really want to install this beautiful mod but keep getting this error:
Fatal error!
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\owner\AppData\Roaming\.Nitrous\temp\minecraft_jar\aux.class (The system cannot find the file specified
- I have tried running as admin, no luck
- I have tried re-downloading, no luck
- I have tried force updating minecraft, no luck
- I am running Optfine
- Tried with 7zip and WinRaR
No idea what's wrong and it's really killing me. Any help would be very greatly appreciated!

I am replying to your facebook post Sonic since I don't like using that website.
Slow down and get back to enjoying what you do. As far as people having trouble with the mod the only persons problems you really have to deal with is your own. I know its always great to help people get the mod running for them as it does for you but that's just not logical. There are so many system configurations even triple A titles have a hard time doing what your trying to pull off. As far as I am concerned this is a triple A mod without the millions of dollars backing it to higher 50 programmers just to make everything work for everyone. On top of that even graphic drivers have to be reworked for performance increases in just about every triple A game ever released to help with performance and graphic anomalies. To me you have pulled of something amazing rather it works for everyone or not.
As for as releases go, let me tell you how I look at Minecraft and mods rather its this mod, a different mod, or even a texture pack.
Every aspect of Minecraft is part of the game for me. In other words, I enjoy playing the game, browsing the forums, watching youtube videos of the game, etc. So I feel that even while I write this post I am putting time into a game I enjoy.
I also enjoy looking at the files that come with mods such as the files in my shaders folder. I like to look through the code and comments and play with settings rather they are commented on or not. It's all just more time I spend on the game just in the way I like to spend it. Others may just want to install your mod and have it work 100% for them with 6,000 FPS and graphics you can reach out and touch. That's just unrealistic and you as the mod developer need to step back and think about whats realistic for you.
I personally love all the innovation you are trying to pull off with the v10 mod and so far I haven't spent much time looking at the files or playing with settings but plan to in the near future. In fact I would love it if you released a new set after every single change you make just so I can find out where the change was made and what effect it had on the game. I also liked reading that shader article you posted from the Nvidia website and found it quite interesting. See what I did there? Even I have an unrealistic request
My whole point is that you need to get back to why you started this mod in the first place. I'm sure it wasn't to make anyone happy other then yourself. You probably enjoyed learning everything you have and making people happy was just the icing on the cake.
I really hope you get a chance to read this and it doesn't get lost in the thousands of post this mod gets every day because Sir, you deserve all the diamonds in the world.
Question: When you update it to v10, can you add a download for people, like myself, who use "MagicLauncher"? I really want to use it, but I need a .zip so yeah

No, a gtx 560 can't run it.

It is not your fault if someone doesnt even know what a RC means.
There is people out there, however, that love what you do and could help you out by testing in their PCs.
RCs are important but i feel like you need a bug tracker, imho, that would be top priority to keep order.

Sure you do.

Of course it can run it, you have an nvidia avatar but yet you dont know anything about graphic cards...
Im running those shaders with a GTX560 Ti at 1920x1080p @ 45FPS stable, if i went down on resolution i could get 50+ FPS
epic fail i usted to own this card before getting my gtx 670 ftw and i was pulling off some decent fps with this mod
I have the same thing. Stupid intel. I want this mod really mod BAD! Can someone PLEASE fix this!!! Tell me on this forum post: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1442482-sonic-ethers-unbelievable-shaders-on-intel/
What res? 1920X1080?
You have a Gtx 560ti. There's a difference!
