I get with my ATI 6870 and 8GB ram only 20 fps and with some adjustments max 30 fps can someone tell me if someone with the same card get this amount of fps too?
I have same graphic card, 4GB RAM and phenom B60 4X 3.4Ghz and i get 20-30 fps everything maxed, so its normal, yeah...
I'm getting this weird shadow duplication problem thing with signs and torches..... is this supposed to happen? (Map is HyruleCraft btw)
Torches produce almost no light?
Destroying blocks has a weird bright color? (Yellow, red, etc)

Alright so, after taking a break from development I realized that the shadow darkness I set for Ultra shaders is a little too extreme. I just reduced SHADOW_DARKNESS in composite.fsh to 1.5 and I think it looks much better.
If you want to try to eliminate the illusion that torches don't work you can do some editing in final.fsh. Lower GAMMA and increase BRIGHTMULT to help brighten shadows.
It's a difficult task trying to find a balanced setting that everyone will enjoy. Do your own editing to suit your needs
yea, i finally got to the filecopter site after trying for a half hour or so... file could not be found D: i reeaalllllyyyyy want this mod but its so hard to get right now

can someone PLEASE explane why i get such a low fps although my computer can easily handle games like battlefield3 and crysis?
it has to do more with how minecraft renders its world out. for instance, you and i can run games like bf3 and i can run crysis at max settings. however, these games had an absurd amoun of polish to make sure they ran at peak performance. minecraft, however, is still in development so it isnt quite as efficient as it should be. that is one of the reasons to get optifine, because it has alot of optimized code to help the game run faster

I've included screenshots of what each configuration looks like within the archive that you download, as well as a very small readme giving a quick instruction on how to install the configuration. I added a few more variations for people who wanted certain features disabled.

2.Correct work of light(Light of torch)
3.Correct work of Godrays

Followed these to the letter, and now it crashes when it it's starting up a world, new or one I had previously.
Maybe this is a sign that I'm not meant to use this mod. xD
