I have tried to play Minecraft using Shaders on my PC, but i find it laggy.
My pc have the following specs:
Intel Core i5 650 3,20 Ghz (not overclocked)
ATI Readon HD 5770 (1024 mb)
RAM: 6 GB
Windows 7 (64-bit)
With my PC i only get 16-23 fps? I have to turn down different options, still its unreponsive and laggy with low frames per second. I dont se normally i run Minecraft on 80 fps with every settings on high. So do you guys have any things i can do to prevent the lag?

I have the 2nd generation i5 at 3.3 ghertz each core ( x4 ) as well. But the laggyness it not your CPU. Its your video card. The 5770 only can only do OpenGL 3.2. The newer cards can handle the newer Shaders ( More GPU Cores ). Meaning your current video card cannot handle the newer stuff. What you need is a card like mine. Get the Hawk Edition of the R6870. ( Yes make sure its the HAWK edition with the R in front of the number. ) This card is equal to the GTX 560. Its what I use. Do not get the older 6870 that is not the HAWK edition. OR if you can afford a better one then this card, I say go for it. My card can handle OpenGL 4.0 Natively. Meaning, it will not lag with 4.0 drivers. Yours will not lag with 3.2 drivers. But even if you upgrade the drivers to handle 3.3 or higher, it will start to lag because the video card was not made for it. My card can run 4.2 and I can still see slight lag with 4.1 and higher functions. So its a HUGE reason to look into what OpenGL your using as well as DirectX. Minecraft uses OpenGL, not DirectX. Also, NVidia, if you got money to blow is a great card, but remember.. the higher price is because of the brand name, not because its a good card. The ATI has finally come out of their prehistoric age and has caught up with NVidia now. So they are in direct competition like they always have been for years. Except now ATI has better driver installations and easier setup then they used too. They finally got it right.
Hey bro, well I just replied to the guy above this post with the same issue your having. Except there is nothing you can do. Your on a laptop. Thats what the M stands for in the CPU specs you quoted. Meaning you cannot upgrade and its embedded meaning its sharing memory from your REAL memory. This is the reason why I will not buy laptops to play games. They just dont have the power no matter how much a salesman at the store tries to trick you into buying them. If you want to have power behind your games, you need a tower bro. Sorry to burst your bubble man. I been there with a laptop too at one time, I feel your pain.
I'll be updating (1.1) soon. 1.2 update is probably ETA a week or so. I'll also be including alternate versions to suit people's varying needs such as a lite version and a version for screenshots. I'll also try to put more effort into the OP so that newcomers are less confused with customization of this mod. Keep checking back
Idea: Change it so that when you're underwater you can see lights and shadows sort of flickering on the bottom of the water.
EDIT: Okay, I know that I didn't really explain that very well, but I think you get the basic idea of what I was trying to say It would just add to the shear awesomeness of this mod
The Mac (everyone else) download is broken (no link at all)

Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed it now. Any other stupid mistakes I may have made due to sleep deprivation will have to wait 8 hours for me to awaken.
