Pre 24 is up, fixes two issues. As for all suggestions, please take them to the TerraFirmaCraft official forums suggestions section as I will totally forget if I read stuff here..
OK, I'm having a problem. Everytime I try to smelt anyting in the firepit it gets to Very Hot* and then when it's about to get to Very Hot** it disappears leaving me with nothing. This has happened with both Bismuthinite and Cassiterite.
I'm using Minecraft 1.2.5
Im was using Forge #96 and it wouldn't work, I also tried the newest version #115 and it still wouldn't work.
I'm was also using TFC #20 and I updated to #23 and in either one it didn't work.
I've read through the forum and seen alot of this question with the answer being to update. What exactly needs to be updated I don't understand. And I seem to be updated, I realize TFC #24 is the newest version at the time of writing this, but looking at the change log it seems it updating wouldn't solve this problem.
Any idea's, known fixes, whatever would be helpful. And if you do think "Update" is the answer, please expand the answer as to what I need to update.

you need use molds in a firepit to catch the liquid metal. This was added in pre17...from the changelog.
"Firepits now correctly require molds in the output slots when you smelt ore."
Looks like the title needs an update, it still says pre22 instead of 24.
By the way, bioxx, will you be using a later/the latest verion of Forge any time soon? And, am I safe to use a later version of it even if TFC is still using 96? Because a mod or two that I'm interested in adding that doesn't spoil TFC requires the latest...
Edit: One other thing... in the downloads section on terrafirmacraft.com, it says "Beta 2 Pre 24"... but the actual download itself says Pre 23 (the filename is TFCraft-client-core-B2pre23) - so basically, am I still playing Pre 23 or am I playing Pre 24 now but the filename just wasn't updated?

The adfly link is still pre 23. Use the direct one, it's pre 24.

I've fixed adfly, it WAS set at 24, but when i refreshed page it was back at 23. As far as forge versions, you can attempt to use later versions, but I can't give support if you start having any unexplained issues. I've rolled back alot of base edits which means that the forge version is becoming less and less important. If the latest forge versions are working for you then awesome!

Keep trying to weld together two tin ingots with NO results.
They are both at the same heat level (unless this means the EXACT same heat level that isn't said on the item itself, which would be ludicrous to expect someone to reach this level), I've got flux, a tin hammer, and it's at a stone anvil.
They are both in the correct slots on the anvil and they are both at a malleable level (hot level 4) as well.
Alright, I'm having an unusual issue.
I have minecraft istalled with all 7 redpower modules, NEI, and Wireless redstone CBE. And terrafirmacraft, of course.
When I type "brick" into NEI, it goes fine until I type the letter C. Then i'm kicked out of the Inventory GUI and a notice pops up with the letters "missing" printed in huge type, and a note about the date. I suspect it has to do with the new seasons update, and if it is, why does it say missing, and how do/can I remap that particular key to something different?
Thank you, and apologies for any idiocy in advance.
Hello,
I have installed TFcraft on my 1.2.5 minecraft with this mods:
ModLoader
NotEnoughItems-Client 1.2.2
CodeChickenCore-Client 0.5.2
minecraftforge-client-3.1.2.96
TFCraft-client-core-B2pre23
TFC_Textures
I've been playing for a while, mined some ores, collected some wood and made some charcoal, now I've build a forge and when I right clicked it the game crashed.. did it again and again.
Anyone have any Idea how It works to others?
Thanks.

I can not make the scythe. I tried with ingot and double ingot of copper at orange state and nothing, not showing me the anvil rules. That I do wrong?
Are you making sure to use a copper anvil? in order to actually shape a copper tool, you need a copper anvil copper cant be made into a scyth, according to wiki. I think it has to do with how its hard to bring copper to a sharp edge (also why it cant be made into a sword, i think)
Edit: is it possible to make it so that you can instantly turn a metal back to normal temps? like by throwing it in water? would make it easier to stack certain metals without having to wait for them to cool off.
When installing this mod using MultiMC I encountered a problem. I have NEI Installed as well. When I attempt to open the texture pack in game I crash and get this error report.
EDIT: I am also on a Mac
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

Sounds like you installed in the wrong order. that error is not tfc related
I love this mod, but ores are way to rare. Sure, its realistic, but at a point that overdoes it and makes the game unplayable. I've been playing for hours and cant find any of the tier 0 ores, and yes, I'm looking in the right rock layers.
I'm using Minecraft 1.2.5

Yes later Forge versions work perfect.
thx bioxx!

Is it a current bug?
