sooo ive been playing mod for a bit and i think its awesome! and i really like how its compatible with the 24 other mods i have xD i just cant play minecraft plain it gets boring :/ btw good job on making this simple yet amazing mod! :biggrin.gif:

To fill the canteen with this "destiled" water, make a way around with the cauldron.
I've been deciphering the code on cauldron for a while and it seems really hard to get it loaded with another liquid, as cauldron has only 4 data vaules: 0--empty, 1/2, 2/3 and full, but all for water. Making it able to contain distilled water would need more data values, and I still dunno what should happen when water and distilled water mixes...

If soo, you might want to change that, drink sea water kills you. While drinking river water might poison you. Maybe the percentage to get poison will be effected by the biome place? Desert water-oasis- might be safer to drink then water from swamps... You get the idea.

make a crafting recipe for bath or shower.... and use that to fill hygene.....
and an sink. and if u wanted to get disgusting add a toilet-A bladder motive.

TBH I dont know anyone who boils their water, wouldn't it just make it taste bad? but seriously just forget about having to boil water, I would prefer room temperature water than boiled IRL, but, that's just me if you want to make so that you HAVE to boil water then go for it, I'm not in charge of what you do
You're supposed to boil water if it has bacteria and stuff in it people do it in the wildreness all the time. And it tastes just like normal water when it cools down. And have you ever heard of coffee?
BTW, GREAT mod. I can't tell you how many times (in minecraft) I've just drunk a bottle of water out of boredom even though I know it won't do anything.
After seeing all 3 thirst mod, I think I choose this as the best.
Idea's:
-Drinking water(Sneaking) from ocean, instead filling your thirst bar, will decrease it(Drinking sea, will kill you).
-Add some chance that certain water from different biome have more/less chance to get poison(Water from a river is better then from
swamp/Desert water(Oasis) is better then water from rain forest)
-When raining, it will stop the thirst bar from decreasing, but wont increase it. Also, if you hold a bottle while raining, it will slowly fill it.
-Make rain capturing device(An item that you place, and will fill it self if it rains). Right clicking with snow will turn the snow into water. Right clicking with a bottle will fill the bottle. Right clicking will bare hand will cause you to drink.
-Sprinting will make you thrist 2x faster.
-Poison effect, it would decrease the thirst meter(Just like when you eat rotten food and the food bar decrease)
Umm, also, the water droplet looks cyan-ish, might want to turn it abit blue-ish. Sorry if I stated an Idea that is already in, I didn't try the mod yet. Thanks for reading.

had something to do about compatibility. You should
run the ThirstStats in the FoodStats class. So that
you DON'T modify EntityPlayer.class^^
And think about overwriting gui/icons.png...
I don't think I catch what you mean, like modify addExhaustion to take care of thirst too? That's actually workable, but for checking whether the player is sneaking in water...I guess that can only be done in EntityPlayer

Like guto8797 said, there's no way you can tell between sea water and river water, UNLESS you mean water in specific biomes, which may work but I've to look in the code to see how to do it

That's probably because youre using another mod that modifies the gui, shield mod I guess. And since this mod modifies also the gui class, it's not compatible with your other mod :sad.gif:

Suggestions:
Horizontal flip the 'water droplet' icon, the shiny blink is top-right, but should be top-left (so it matches the lighting of the heart icon).
Also, wouldn't it make more sense if the thirst bar was on the right above the hunger-bar. and have the life-bar and armor-bar on the left.
Just leave it on the left, I'm using Smart Moving mod(I cant live without it, its briliant) and it got energy bar on that spot.
About the water thing, just use Biome as a guide, if you use a bottle in an ocean biome, you'll get sea water, else, you get unclean water
Also, here's an idea:
If you will impliment unclean water(And the water bo, you should add a water filter as an early water cleaning device, made with sticks and strings
