If it happen when you switch it in the Texture pack selection screen, that's a bug of McPatcher.

And I know it's TC2 that does it, for sure. Removing TC2 (and not changing anything else) allows me to switch Texture Packs, and hit the done button, without any issues. I'll see about getting an error report some other time.
Not in the recent update. it's 50% for a new tainted area to sprout up, and a little less than 30% is the cutoff point for when it stops really spreading. If you are making a new patch of taint, taint seepage may end up decreasing the taint from that initial chunk below a point of sustainable growth if the surrounding chunks are low.
4000 is a little less than 30% (500 less to be exact). It's not enough to generate its own corruption, no, but it's enough to sustain existing corruption, meaning it can spread from an already-corrupted chunk to fill a chunk that has 4000 taint. And yeah, I'm using the latest version.
Attempting to add TC2 to my mod loadout and I'm having difficulties. Everything worked fine before hand. All the block ID's were sorted and everything ran fine. Adding TC2 to the mods folder and correcting the block ID's gives me this error. (You can also see all the mods I have loaded up in there)

I only have one problem with it. The Quaesitum needs a queue of items to go in or something. I find that I have loads of sugar cane with nothing to do with it because my Quaesitum is already full of books in the Primary and Secondary slots.
Since this is compatible with BuildCraft, can you pump items into a Quaesitum? If so, I'm gonna get BuildCraft. :3

I know you can for the Arcane Bore and acoulpe of other items with invatory, so it may work (I will test later if no one else knows...)
4000 is a little less than 30% (500 less to be exact). It's not enough to generate its own corruption, no, but it's enough to sustain existing corruption, meaning it can spread from an already-corrupted chunk to fill a chunk that has 4000 taint. And yeah, I'm using the latest version.
According to my config file, max is 15000. so 50% is 7500. If I remember correctly, 66% will start spawning the little taint-farting nodules, which would be 9900. So as long as I stay between those two number, I should get the desired effect. Back to pollution!

Sounds about right. As far as I know, the only thing you can't get from low-level corruption is the intact taintspore pod, since, you know, there's no taintspore pods.
I hate to say it, but how the hell do you accidentaly harvest it? and why harvest when it is just a single crystal. As the crystal grows more crystals sprout from it. The most in a cluster I have had has been 5, but when you just see it as a single crystal you dont harvest it. if there are two, you can harvest one. The same when you collect crystals in the caves, if there is a single you get one, 2 you get 2, 3 you get 3, do you notice a trend there?
it's surprisingly easy.. I try to harvest when it hits 2 or 3 crystals, and then a bit of lag added to a sensitive mac trackpad and I accidentally harvest it once too many times and *oops*.
Ah, I've never really used Dokucraft, I mainly do Forgotten Lands, since it look like it could be real, with out looking like it was photoshoped....

So... Even if I want to use normal texture packs, it requires Optifine Smooth to work if TC2 is installed?
