Using shears on Silverwood Leaves drops both the Leaf block as well as Quicksilver (on chance, of course), resulting in same dupe problem as cinderpearl had.
Love the mod, Azanor! Looking forward to any more updates you choose to make.

ah I though was an IC2 chainsaw issue... might be a forge thing then or a new feature/bug of minecraft...
Dunno what I did but I have 3 purifiers in a row and I get levels of Taint through my pipes of around..-50...my containers have some -25% Taint or -300% Taint....

Now try and get a tank containing only anti-Taint and hook it up to a tank of pure Taint.

If you're callin' about the Mobtalker scripts, I no longer have access to them.
However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
Sorry, quick question. I don't have TC yet, I'm just setting up my base in preparation for when i get it for 1.2.5.. I just wanna ask real quick - Do the place-able crystals generate aura, or do only the "natural" ones do that?

Resident Thaumaturge cake-dragon at your service o:
Sorry, quick question. I don't have TC yet, I'm just setting up my base in preparation for when i get it for 1.2.5.. I just wanna ask real quick - Do the place-able crystals generate aura, or do only the "natural" ones do that?
even the place-able... the farm under my base grants full aura all the way!!!
I know TC2 is supposed to work a bit mysterious and Azanor doesnt want to give out too much information about several topics but i still have some questions regarding crystal spawns and research.
So the crystals, i get that a high aura rating influences crystal growth and vice verda but is the type of the crystal dependend on any factor or is it pure random? in my current world which is my second playthrough i found over 20 of each crystal type but not a single fire one. in my last world i had a prety balanced crystal spawn where i endet up with prety much the same amount of crystals over the time but now i get massive amounts of air crystals and like i said not a single fire one. i've been branch mining and explored a ravigne but nothing, no fire. i guess the biome influences this too?
Different crystals spawn in different areas, yes. Try a desert for fire or something? Or grow your own.
also does the Y level influence crystal growth in any form like it does for diamonds for example? or is it balanced on all levels?
For research, does the "support item" in the second and third block influence the kind of research i get from a fragment? Like some other people i found out that zombie brains, books and bookshelves give the best % boost besides artifacts and silly stuff like blocks of diamonds but i seem to get the same theories over and over again (5x arcane focus earth 3x Thaumic duplicator, etc.)
This is kind of annoying since in about 1 hour of playtime i get maybe 8-10 fragments, maybe less. If i place different items in the research i get very low % chances and sometimes waste all of my fragments, if i drop the high value bookshelves in there i get the same fragments all the time.
The support item only affects success, not the type of research. Just research the theories you get and when you learn them you will not get that theory anymore. Don't even put secondaries in for theory research it is just a waste. It has to succeed over and over to get it, and failing does not destroy the theory, unless you are extremely unlucky, or it is torchcherous research. Oh and if you want different research, try different items.
Nether stuff or the mob drops for forbidden, ender pearls or get inside an obelisk for eldritch, make a tainted biome and get wood for tainted.
Or try a bunch of different common items, currently there is a random chance based on world seed that common items will always give uncommon research.
A little more complain about the random nature of reseach, why is even the difficulty chance on the theorys random? I can get a sword of the zephyr with torturous difficulty and one with tricky. using the torturous is a waste of time since it is IMPOSSIBLE to research that one. In my playtime i got around 10 tortorous Theorys and i lost every single one of them. I cant use high value support items with them because they are wasted for sure and the % chance is so low that there is close to no point in researching them at all.
The only option is to drop 2 stacks of cobble in the table and wait for the recipe to get lost, keep researching until i get the same Theory with a lower difficulty.
Yeah torcherous kinda sucks, just leave it on the table and hope to get lucky, or throw it in the crucible, or use it as a secondary slot and hope for a better one later.
I would seriously like to see some change in the research system, as it stands right now its just a giant low value item burner with a pure luck based system. Mods like EE or IC2 give you low value burner blocks too but they at least offer you something valuable for them. Researching 20 stacks of items and getting my fith arcane focus earth is simply no fun and it hinders any progress in the mod a lot. This together with the semingly random nature of crystal spawns makes the mod way too luck based and if you dont get any it is simply no fun.
Again, there is no way you should be getting multiple of the same theory, learn them as you get them, without secondaries. It really isnt that bad, it is partially luck based, but honestly the majority of the research can be obtained with stacks of cobble, patience, and a sugarcane farm for books. 3 stacks of cobble for fragments, fragments with book secondaries. stop researching frags when you get a theory and do that instead with no secondaries. I got every research in the game in 3 days with no cheating. I did get lucky and i was getting tainted from flint, but i could have just as easily made a tainted biome and done tainted logs.
Also the monolyth spawnrate is a bit strange, i have 3 Monolyths standing alone and 2x 2 Monolyths right beside each other at my current spawn, this might be nice for getting artifacts but again its just so very very random.
Agreed, same with silverwood trees. My current map has a forest of the things with like 6 monoliths in walking distance, but some people are reporting finding little to none. Meh, random is random.
I wish.. but it says in the log 'for 1.0.0' - y'all had my hopes up there, I'd consider giving a nut for NetherCraft and PremiumWood being updated for 1.2+. Forge compatibility, and you get both.
I'm having a little problem with sound. It seems i can't hear some of them, but i don't know if they are in mod or not. For example, i can't hear any bubbling near the cauldron nor any burning sound when i put something inside. I also can't hear anything when i'm near the monolith. But i do hear the sounds of whisps.
1,000,000%
I don't use it, and I won't as it's the source of a lot of bugs for people right now.
Oh, and by the way... Asking the creator of the mod if he's sure about what is required to play his mod.... Kinda dumb.
That error is because a block has an ID above 255.
Keep up the good work!

You have all the coolest bugs
Err... Why's that?
But you have the coolest of mods.
I really enjoyed your videos. Thanks for these and keep it up!

Are you using a Mac?
Implemented properly, this could as well be opposite.
Oh? I'm planning to, should I be watching for something special?
Also, me gusta.
I might be wrong, but I think someone else with a Mac reported issues with the custom sounds.
Yeah, I was going to try and figure it out, but I wanted to make sure I was able to take the "try everything" approach. I won't.
But seriously, we can't rebuild them? How are we supposed to use them now then?
