two dawn totems on top of each other make an uncorruptable area extending two blocks from the totem (so baically a 5*5 area, centred on the totem)
i'm not sure what the dusk ones do, but it seems to act as a "pin" for taint when it's purifying itself, it slows the decay of taint for a few blocks around it
I test the 2 dawn totems and I find they try to "cleanse" more that 2 chunks, but because a strong taint area, they immediately get corrupted again.
Yeah, I haven't noticed any effects from the totems yet. I just assumed they're basically portable crystals, or maybe slowly turn one type of aura into the other.
one interesting fact for people using NEI; when you have discovered a recipe, you can now see it in the recipe viewer thing. also, it would be AWESOME if someone could create a plugin for NEI that allows it to display infuser recipes and such.
on a side note, i cant believe that if i check this only three times a day, each time takes hours to catch up.
on a side side note, i just came up with the idea for a forestry/TC2 plugin that creates a crystal farm.
Full tank on right with about 50/50 vis and taint. Top valve releases it into a second tank (in order to empty the first tank). Next valve is opened to release it into the filter which then should place it in the two tanks below it. I put the extra conduits to test it wasn't just a problem of finding the proper output side. The idea is that then the valve on the double tank and the bottom valve on the original are opened (and all others closed) to bring back only pure Vis to the original tank.
Issue is as you can see that nothing is getting into the double tank. I'm wondering if the issue might be a problem with double tanks.
Edit: Oh and on a side note: NEI doesn't work for me. I have Thaumcraft (and all its dependencies), optifine, somnia and bookmod + lecterns. Those all work fine but when I add NEI (with its ChickenCore thing) the game crashes with 'saving chunks' when I load or make a world.
And Edit: Hmm just loaded the world back up to see if changing it from two tanks to one works and now its working...I sat there for 10 minutes waiting to see if anything went in the tank before and loading it up it now works instantly with a steady flow (though its dropping both Vis and Taint in the double tanks normal?). It seems for double tanks to work I need to reload a world after placing them.
And Edit again: Wait a minute I might have misunderstood something (again) is there no 'pressure' caused by tanks? So if the original tank isn't full it wont start dumbing it into the next...this is annoying. Some sort of pump block (doubles as one-direction pipe?) would be really nice to force Vis into places.
I really wish that some of the automated workbench stuff was duplicated in TC2. Maybe make an attachment (like the bellows) that goes on the top of workbenches that allows you to put a recipe / research scroll in them and they'll craft away as long as they have materials and fuel. Make it a forbidden / eldritch research. Give another use for taint. The addon needs to be fed taint. Oh, and as materials, have a captured wisp and the soul of a villager. Graphics wise, have a small tortured villager head floating around inside the wisp inside the device.

I stop to read after "optifine", you can´t have a clean game if you mix Forge and optifine.
Uhm...but I need it...and its working alright otherwise, only NEI is causing issues, and frankly I can pass on it, I just wanted to use it for creative purposes but creative mod actually seems to work alright.
one can never be sure, but you sure where duped into using it

There are conduits under the floor.
Cue absolute win...

The TC2 folder that you download is a zip. just drag and drop into mods folder
Not sure if trolling or...
i don't get it i mean placing the brain in a jar things around the Quaesitum to see if it's better than the bookshelves or has any effect at all.
people earlier said that it boosts the speed massively for the q-block.

oh that's good to hear.
