So I don't know if this is intended, but you can put depleted crystals into a condenser and it will give you Vis from them, even thought they should be... y'know... depleted.
The crystal still has a physical form, right? That's being turned into vis.
So. Really cool mod in concept, but all this crap I'm finding... What's it do?
Is there an instruction manual or something I'm missing?
Wiki doesn't seem to have much useful info besides some crafting recipes.
That is exactly some of us we want, we can fill this unofficial wiki for all info we like. http://thaumcrafttwo.wikia.com/ ... btw we need fill it ourselves xD
I had this happen once as well - all the chunks surrounding my starting chunk had a silverwood tree in them. NO idea why that happened but will try and prevent it.
isn't the purifier thing a bit OP? Completly destroyng taint? Maybe it should destroy a part, and separete the rest in a different conduit?
It is quite slow which sort of makes up for it. You can completely destroy taint with enough stacked filters as well. Taint in the conduits is supposed to be an annoyance - not a major hinderance
hehe, people keep saying that. I actually got it (and most of my sounds) from freeware audio fx websites.
I sort of miss them as well. It was on my list, but as a low priority. For now the fact that it simply vomits taint into the atmosphere is sufficient.
...Tainted Crucible that makes pure taint and spills it on the ground on purpose, allowing for massive and easy tainted areas?! (Would require research, of course.)
Really like the mod Azanor. What's your view on the taint? Is it supposed to just be an annoyance or an ever present danger? Any plans for things more dangerous possibly resulting from delving too far into eldrich knowledge?
azanor, I recently tried to get your mod to work with extrabiomesxl (This mod alters existing biomes but keeps the seed) but I couldn't find any greatwood trees or silver wood and maybe 1 obilisk. can you make your mod generate the trees in added biomes. Please reply.
I found a bug. so i was messing around in a test world where i started making a tainted area and watching the effects before i started playing the mod. I really liked the seed and made a new world with the seed. i went to the area where i generated the taint and found the taint level was very high and the corrupted area was spreading. so for some reason thaumic levels transfer between worlds with the same seed???
MC has goofy way of loading and unloading mods when you start a new game without exiting MC completely. I tried to get around that by checking if you are going to a new seed with a new world name.
My guess was you used the same world name (and obviously the seed was the same). THe result was that my aura info was never unloaded and ported over. If you exited MC before creatiing the new world it should forget the old aura info.
So I don't know if this is intended, but you can put depleted crystals into a condenser and it will give you Vis from them, even thought they should be... y'know... depleted.
It is intended. They don't give much vis (5 if memory serves me?). Either way, a lot less than normal crystals.
The wiki IS the instruction manual. It tells you everything you need to know, get readin'.
The temptation to call you a wise ass is overwhelming.
No where in the wiki does it mention mobs.
But yet, there's some funky zombies roaming around my world, not cooperating with my texture pack dropping [Zombie Brains] and [Distorted skulls].
Also, the monoliths... What the heck are they? What do they do?
The bloody wiki entry is so cryptic with no clues given on it's function. What does it do? How does it work? Thanks for the decorative stone bricks, but why doesn't my diamond pick break these funky blue blocks?
I've read every (tiny) page of the wiki and have more questions than answers at this point.

It should be more dangerous and I think there is too much vis in the aura as well.
Currently the cap for both vis and taint is 30,000 (the max on the thaumometer bars)
I'm planning on lowering both to 15,000. In effect, auras will start out with half of what they do now and draining vis and causing taint will be twice as dangerous. I even have a way of converting existing worlds.
BUT I won't do this until I have added ways to clean up taint or prevent it's spread.
If you pick up the cinderpearl plants using shears, they will both drop themselves and the pod. Placing down again and breaking again causes infinite pods.

Well to be polite about it, that's how the mod is designed. You're not supposed to know what pretty much anything does, You're supposed to experiment to discover stuff.
If you want some direct info about things you can scrounge this thread for spoilers. Some people have been posting stuff here in collapsibles to keep them from messing with the purists. X3 But there's some there.
"NOTE: This wiki (for the most part) only contains the items you can create without research. I consider everything else a spoiler. I have no objection if anyone wishes to create a wiki of their own containing the additional information, tutorials, etc."
This part is great. So basically, you just stumble around and hope you get it?
Sorry to sound so negative, but based on tutorial and wiki entries, I can build fantastic **** with my other mods.
So far all this one does is make noise and gives me free torches in caves.

Thanks for the clarification. Guess with the DW20 setup, I have enough stuff to keep me busy with out humping a research table for what little time I have in game. I'll pass for now, check it out later.

Nope. And the TC2 underground Wiki hasn't been started yet.

I really should get a better workaround for that.

Nope, just use them for research fodder

If you hold down the right mouse button until it breaks and not let go, the durability loops back to full.
However, breaks really easy, and randomly, after using it again when it loops back.
I lol'ed
