I've found an issue with the npc weapons and more player models, the weapons that are scaled up like the spear and battle axe for example, aren't scaled up on the players back. Im not sure where to put this, MPM or Custom NPC's, but seeming its with the npc weapons, it'll go here
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Question:
IS there any config fire to add names for items/armor so the mod will see for the textures? This is a good idea, to help us create resource packs for your mod, and add more things for it.
Just make it search for conf file, where the list with the items/armor etc will be, and allow the player to change the names or add new names there. The mod will look for the item name and then search for the specific texture. The creator will put the textures in the texture folder and vuala, NEW ITEMS in database and even more many unique item skins.
This will make your mod even more customizable and you will not have to add items all the time yourself. The resource pack friends will take care of this.
If there is a conf file like this somewhere there just consider to add it in your mod in the next update.

Hey noppes, just making sure u know, the download link at the front page of this post is still for the 1.6.4 version. I'm using what I think is the most recent 1.7.4 version, and the jukebox and background functionalities for the bard are switched, and the has off distance switch doesn't do anything and it still has an off distance when it is switched to no.
Hey Noppes. When you updated this mod i went to the changelog to see what was changed/Added, And i saw that you could edit villagers with the custom npc wand.Well i tryed this and my game crashed. And im sorry i don't know how to put Spoilers.

So you could add buttons much like that that have invo, armor, quests could be a ! mark, and factions well.. could be any number of things... could let us edit the textures for our needs as well.
Yeah, but forge is updated. In version selection window i have 1.7.2_Forge. As i wrote i had the same problems with 1.6.4 version, but other mods compatibile with 1.6.4 work fine.
I'd like to add this to the DW20 1.6 modpack, or my custoim set up for it for a lets play, so I can spice things up.. however..
Could you maybe make the menu more combatable?
http://img199.images...9/1332/jtpl.png
Buttons like that with an icon may be better, and that pulls from the default texture as well.
The armor window is from Tinkers Construct.
So you could add buttons much like that that have invo, armor, quests could be a ! mark, and factions well.. could be any number of things... could let us edit the textures for our needs as well.
I might be able to make them slightly more compatible. You can however edit them yourself and add them to your resource pack

Even if I do edit them they still overlap by a lot. If you can make them work together for 1.6.4 it would be wonderful as right now it makes it hard to even click the armor tab.

Would it be much of a setback to let NPC's realise they can use ladders? and open trap doors? more the ladders then the doors really. its quite annoying to have to build stairs for npcs instead of just making ladders^^ thanks.
Sounds system got changed. To add sounds you need to create a sounds.json just like with resource packs
To add sounds you need to add them to the .minecraft/customnpcs/assets/customnpcs/sounds folder. In the assets/customnpcs folder is a sounds.json file which you need to edit to add sounds. If you dont want to loose items or blocks use the latest 1.6.4 version first and open your worlds with it. I released this version yesterday. With 1.7 all item and block ids were removed so they shouldnt ever be conflicting with other mods any more. This also means I can finally start adding some more blocks. If you have any block textures or techne models you would like as a block let me know.
It seems that there is nothing good in this new version 1.7.2
Well, I will continue in 1.6.4
Ah but you should put the "Scale option" as the mod More Player models 2.

I have several NPCs that climb ladders. Have you tried making a path and placing a waypoint at the bottom of the ladder, then a waypoint right at the top?
Just updated and it still don't work, but my crash report look different.

Either there isn't a new 1.7.2 link or im too stupid to see it

Yeh I'm not sure either... I found one in the forum here that noppes posted just a little bit before he posted the new update, but i dont think he's updated the front page yet.
Noppes would it be possible to edit the music file handler thinger-ma-bob to just keep playing until the sound is finished
I'm builing a club for parties and whatnot in my base and I wanted to play my music using the bard like a Dj for automatic play/scramble feature and just a normal dialogue for a special requests function that went like
genre>artist>album> (option1) album part1>songs (option2) album part2>songs (option3) album part3>songs etc..
the problem is the songs end way too soon about 2-2.5 minutes too short and the bards can only handle one sound at a time
so my question is is it possible to make a bard able to make a bard able to access a large playlist of sounds rather than just one
and to extend the maximum time a sound can play to the length of the sound to apr. 8-10 minutes instead of about 1 minute like it is now
I believe this would be good for map making and just an interesting detail in general and if you think about it the music disks are pretty long why not this
or alternatively you could just make something like a Dj npc
ps. if you're feeling kind I can't update from 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 and up because I'm waiting on all 186 of my mods to hopefully update so please don't forget about 1.6.4
That just leads to the latest 1.6.4 dl , i tried before

1.7.2 works with BOP & MOC (in local) I'll try with MCPC+ later !
for now I'll fine testing
AWESOME !!! Noppes' team are GODS !
but pls... make API !!! (or|and /noppes commandline)
with simple base command like
attack,goto,tpto,follow,executedialogonrightclick (noppes one),getfaction,destroyblockat (picaxe mouvement)
farm (hoe mouvement),sleep,get/set inventory drop/bank/itemgiver/TRADER etc...
make npcfile in HumanReadable format
etc...
I CAN HELP !
I probably wont be releasing an API. If you want to join 'team noppes' (lol) and work on commands that's totally fine. PM me.
The current 'team' is DarkSignal who works on AI related things and me who does the rest.
Just updated and it still don't work, but my crash report look different.

Are you perhaps using something like magic launcher, because that and forge are having problems.
Alright. Thanks for the response. Do you think you will ever make it possible to despawn or kill an npc after a certain quest or dialog? Also spawn?

I'd like to add this to the DW20 1.6 modpack, or my custoim set up for it for a lets play, so I can spice things up.. however..
Could you maybe make the menu more combatable?
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1332/jtpl.png
Buttons like that with an icon may be better, and that pulls from the default texture as well.
The armor window is from Tinkers Construct.
So you could add buttons much like that that have invo, armor, quests could be a ! mark, and factions well.. could be any number of things... could let us edit the textures for our needs as well.
You are on forge build 1012 update to 1024
I might be able to make them slightly more compatible. You can however edit them yourself and add them to your resource pack

Even if I do edit them they still overlap by a lot. If you can make them work together for 1.6.4 it would be wonderful as right now it makes it hard to even click the armor tab.
It seems that there is nothing good in this new version 1.7.2
Well, I will continue in 1.6.4
Ah but you should put the "Scale option" as the mod More Player models 2.
a fatal error has occured, this connection is ter minated
i use mcpc+ server
I have several NPCs that climb ladders. Have you tried making a path and placing a waypoint at the bottom of the ladder, then a waypoint right at the top?
Yeh I'm not sure either... I found one in the forum here that noppes posted just a little bit before he posted the new update, but i dont think he's updated the front page yet.
8-10 minutes instead of about 1 minute like it is now
I believe this would be good for map making and just an interesting detail in general and if you think about it the music disks are pretty long why not this
or alternatively you could just make something like a Dj npc
ps. if you're feeling kind I can't update from 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 and up because I'm waiting on all 186 of my mods to hopefully update so please don't forget about 1.6.4
Can anyone answer my question in the previous page? I am almost 90% with my resource pack and I really need to know about it.
Thank you in advance
I think you are so stupid hahhaa
(kidding)
Its says updated 09/02/14 so i suppose its the new version.
Cheers

Does your server give an error? I need some sort of error report.
I probably wont be releasing an API. If you want to join 'team noppes' (lol) and work on commands that's totally fine. PM me.
The current 'team' is DarkSignal who works on AI related things and me who does the rest.
Are you perhaps using something like magic launcher, because that and forge are having problems.
Wouldnt be difficult to add. Only thing Id need is some sort of item. No clue what sort of item Id use for that.
