Whenever I change the availability options of a redstone block, it stays on for some reason. It even stays on when I delete my playerdata, and when I hit "Freeze NPCS". Can somebody please help?
EDIT: I fixed it. I just needed to hit "freeze npcs", place it down, edit it and then unfreeze npcs and it works

I know number 2 its at the to-do list, but who knows that it didn't mean making it how common/ in which difficulty. And yes, you're right, no.3 should be made optional. I hope it'll be implemented
i love this mod for single player, i have it working perfectly on there but when i try to use it on my server, to create and npc with the wand it just places a block of dirt, or a normal villager, and then replaces the wand itself in my inventory with either a block of dirt or a villager egg.
do you have any ideas of what i may have done wrong?
Did you install the mod for multiplayer yet? You need to put the zip folder into the mods folder of your server jar.

i followed the directions on the guide to install it on my server but when it said a mod folder should have been made i couldn't find it, so i just did to the custom npcs what it said to do with the forge files, figured it would have the same effect but apparently not. now there is a folder called coremods that just popped up and its empty? should i put it in there too?.. not sure if it matters but my server is run on beastnode, not off of my computer

Hello! I was wondering for when the mod gets updated to 1.4.6 and we have to reinstall it into 1.4.6 version of minecraft, would I lose all the NPCs I've made so far and have to recreate them?
Since I did use this mod in 1.2.5 and didn't use it again til 1.4.5, some of my NPCs were gone, however, I did find a couple of basic NPCs that were left on the map that I created in the 1.2.5 version. (I know there is a really big difference in 1.2.5 and 1.4.5).

I am using the mod for 1.4.5 and have found some bugs
when an NPC has the roll "bank" or "follower", they won't move.
NPC's seem to ignore some tags. for example, I had a trader who wanted a sharpness 5 diamond sword, I was able to give him a sharpness 1 diamond sword(level tag). another tag it seems to ignore is the display.name tag. I had a "cello string" which was just string with a different name, and the NPC wanted a normal string, but took the cello string anyway, even thouhg MC won't allow me to stack the two items together.(there isn't another mod that alows me to do this, I just can because minecraft is that awesome[I had a sharpness 5 broken bottle once])
NPC's will sometimes fall through the floor.
and some others that were already reported.

4. Followers can hurt the player when they have projectiles and are trying to shoot something else.
5. Follwers who should walk don't return home when their job is done.
This strings thing is not a bug, it saves the ID, not the name. I think...
What I mean though is that it seems to compare the ID of the item and the ID of the enchantment only, leaving out the name of the customized item and level of the enchantment.
if I have:
ID:string
Name:good string
ench: sharpness V
ID:string
Name:String
ench:Null
ID:string
Name: also good string
ench: sharpness V
and
ID:string
Name ok string
ench: Sharpness I
and the NPC wants "good string", He will take "ok string" and "also good string", but not regular old string. while I can not stack any of them together in my inventory.

If I may start off great mod! Makes minecraft fun again and adds so many things. However i've followed your website instruction on how to add citizens to a server and it worked except for a few bugs:
1. If I right click with the npc wand on the ground it will crash my minecraft and corrupt the map. However this does not happen in single player.
2. Shooting or throwing any projectile that was added (i.e gun) will crash the minecraft.
3. Besides elf,human,and orc all the other npcs are cut up( You can only see their arms or head and nothing else)
Once again this does not happen on single player and its the only mod that I have had trouble installing on smp.
What I've tried:
Fresh server with nothing on it but custom npcs and forge(im running 1.4.5)
CustomNPCs_1.4.5 with minecraftforge-universal-1.4.5-6.4.2.448
CustomNPCs_1.4.5 with minecraftforge-universal-1.4.5-6.4.0.395
CustomNPCs_1.4.5 with minecraftforge-universal-6.0.1.341

I've experienced this problem as well, though not with this mod. I'm sure it roots to the same problem in some way though. I tried using More Swords Mod and Forge universal (updated versions of course) and the swords did'nt load in my world. However a previous version of the mod did work. Either this is a forge issue, or you've used Modloader in the past. When you "force update", not all of your past modloader information goes away, certain files will linger for some strange reason (resulting in interference with forge) and you have to reinstall Minecraft completely. The Aether comes with Modloader and I made the mistake of installing it( Uninstalled shortly after). Since then I started having this issue you raised.
I haven't tried this myself due to laziness but I'm 80+% sure that's the problem. Fresh install of Minecraft, reinstall Forge and you should be good to go. Wipe everything clean after backing up your save.
Also, If you'd like specifics, giving your Forgemodloader.log to Noppes would help specify the issue. Might be a simpler, yet more timely way to approach this problem.
