Hmm... Just came up with the best ideas I'll ever have for this mod(I completely overdid it, but they're just so great @_@.

-An item with virtually unlimited meta data IDs, which can be edited to give certain attributes, such as if it's a tool(With hardness), food, just an item, key, etc (And also a name, obviously). And also, same way NPCs can choose skins, the item can choose a texture from a directory for items? Basically CustomNPCs but items.
-Maybe the same as stated above but for blocks? It's impossible for blocks with GUIs so just aesthetic blocks.
+An option to make an NPCs show health bar (To replace boss job and allow a lot more to be done)
I'd like to be criticized to see if I really went overboard or not.
npcs have a problem fighting two enemys at once, say two players vs one npc (obviously its a boss or something) , the npc will fight the first player it sees until he/she is dead, therefore the other enemy/player can kill it while its being a dumbass. plain and straight they need to attack the last thing that hit them. needed an explanation or it wouldn't make sense
If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
funny bug, when you block with a weapon or shield while facing an npc that has a bow (first slot) it pulls back even though they're holding it down. also, could the quest/dialogue setup have a click back thing like other things.

I'm having a glitch where most items will be black when they are in the NPC's hand. But if it's in the offhand then it's the right colour. Also could you make a tab somewhere that makes that faction/npc be attacked by hostile mobs?
Please fix the compatibility issue with pixelmon! Survival mode in the inventory you can't do anything. Literally. Its really freezy and you can exit fine but I think there is a gui conflict causing these effects. Please find a way to fix this!
Its compatible. Pretty sure I already told you this. set InventoryGuiEnabled=false in the .minecraft/config/CustomNPCs.cfg

Untill recently minecraft mobs behaved the same. Ill see if I can fix.

You can add heigth
You can add A Health bar LIKE Ender dragons or withers!!

Thanks for this awesome mod. You made my day sir. We spent all day making a My Little Pony village, bandits, guards, and even a quest to bring back the head of a world-boss. This thing keeps on giving.
Bugs found: When you enter a dialog, it seems to steal my mouse to handle the Bioware-style dialogue options, but it doesn't give it back afterwards. When choosing Dialog in the Advanced tab, it seems like redraws don't always happen at the right times, or items get misplaced, so when I click on the top button to add or change a Dialog, they'll show up in the wrong place or not at all. Likewise, sometimes hitting the 'X' delete button doesn't show the deletion but backing out and going back into the menu usually straightens things out.
Let me know if you can't reproduce those, that would indicate a conflicting mod. If that's the case I can start ditching mods one by one till I find the culprit, and I'll let you know.
I notice that it's possible to add skins but not models (I get it; without adding a whole new model-rendering library, that would mean compiling in more files generated by Techne). What are the chances of getting the rest of the existing entity models? (spider, creeper, iron golem, etc) I know it's not on your To-Do list but it seems like after the boss role that'd be the next logical step.
Is there any chance I could get a look at the source? There's a good possibility I can tear through some of these bugs and fire back a patch, and I'm not too shabby at behavioral/AI code either. (Although you might inadvertently wind up with a 'threat' system... I'm an old WoW veteran and, well, it just *works* for deciding who to attack)
they should also need to be able to attack in different ways.im not sure how to do this but i mean it has more stats and inventory screens that it randomly chooses from to make it shoot different projectiles or make it slay with different sword all with different stats
Why add extra screens? NPCs have a "shoot" slot. I think it'd be fairly easy to put a staff or a spell in the "shoot" slot and have a dragon breathe fire, a witch throw potions or raw spells, or a knight shoot magic in addition to the melee attacks. They can already fire arrows or guns. You just have to set their attack range to 10+
ADD CHECKPOINTS: Add a block that causes an ingame slideshow like a flashback-thingy when you step on it. like from microsoft powerpoint or a bunch of photos with writing on them continuing until the designated end. Kind of like a checkpoint in the adventure map and you can have an option so that when you die you will re-spawn there with all the items you had when you first stepped on it. then it is overridden when you step on another (name them and then configure which one overrides the other.

It would be awesome if those were added, but I don't think they should only be usable by certain player models. Frankly, I don't think it's even possible, at least without a ton of work
I'll be doing TONS of skins for an adventure map/RPG server (idk which yet) I'll be making with some friends.
P.S. Are we really arguing about how many/all the kinds of skins we are going to make?
