I love the idea of a utility golem with speed increase. Is there mining speed increase planned as well?
As far as attack and jump calculations I have NO freaking idea. Although in general they don't seem very durable. They never seem to take more than a few hits to die. I think an overall health boost wouldn't go amiss.
Also love the new wand texture.
No, they weren't planned, but they are now!
And the stats are all quite awry, which is one of the many reasons why this is WIP :tongue.gif:
But comments like those are what we like to hear :smile.gif: We will be continue tweaking those for as long as the mod is alive

Yay I'm helping! :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: They definitely seem a bit... well... mentally handicapped with attacking enemies. Oftentimes they'll sit and stare at a zombie, attack a spider, ignore a skeleton, really silly.
EDITEDIT: Also, legless golems should jump slime style.
I'd like to see "mech golems" REALLY big, REALLY slow bulldozer-like golems who can plow through mobs/blocks ,maybe created by filling to crafting table with cores? You coould ride them (as they would just pound everything if they just followed you like a wolf)

That's an interesting suggestion, we will try to put it in if we can!
Thanks for the input!

Yea I'm still tweaking the protection routine....
and I will definitely try to make that jump style happen. That would be hilarious
Warp Stone (Tier3): Makes a golem immobile while in work mode, running towards him will warp you to another golem with a warp stone in work mode across the world

How does that sound?
wooooo teleport. sounds awesome!
btw i found a small bug when trying to make a golem out off golem heads (goleception) it doesnt use the head one and produce a head only one and one with the head in the torso the head i used in the head slot doesnt use up. sounds confusing here is an pic
also i had some not so awesome ideas:
The musical golem! hit him and he ill sound like a sound block useless but cool
and for tier 3: a golem that have some sort of mob repeling force field

I think i fixed the golem head problem...though not sure since I'm not sure how you did it.
Note golem: We had the same idea, though yea, it is kinda useless :tongue.gif:
Testing it out now; lovely! I can't wait for material-specific attack strengths :3
One thing I would say is important is a "guard" or "patrol" mode. I have this adorable little horde of golems just hanging out at my base, and my options are to A) Have them stand around looking cool at night or B ) Lead them into battle myself, an unpleasant prospect, especially since I built a force to do most of the guarding FOR me. So, I propose one of two AI modes:
1) Guard. Golem stands wherever you gave it the command. If a hostile comes within a certain distance (a dozen blocks perhaps) or the golem is attacked from afar (skeleton), the golem sends out a little "pulse" to nearby golems, and they go off to eviscerate the threat. They then return to their original positions.
2) Patrol. Golem wanders around a specific area, a circle with the spot you gave the command at as the center.
Also, some kind of Hunter core would be awesome ^.^ (Might already be up there, sorry, I'm very tired and don't remember). Sword, ender pearl, and porkchop? Increased attack and defense, actively seeks out mobs in its radius (like a patrol but with a wider scan radius), and fetches the drops.

Yeah, we are planning on a guard mode, honestly its so easy I have no idea why I haven't implemented it yet >_>
As for a patrol mode....now thats an idea....
Unrelated: More derp testing!
I was playing around with the speed stone again (trust me, not the only thing I've been working on) but I found this weird bug :tongue.gif:
bleh, i cant check if it works right now, so i'm adding a link to a previous download
the new version work fine but i had to install it the old way (droping classfiles in the jar)
and can you please reveal some core stone recipes? i tried a lot and couldnt get anything :sad.gif:

If you're confused on how to make one, you make them in the lifebench like this
???
?S?
SSS
Where the ?'s are the corestone items from the recipes (in any shape) and S is stone

Here is The Force as suggested by megarlin. Thank you megarlin!
Also: updated the download, I didn't add anything just fixed a few bugs and made the golems that were just a head move like slimes :tongue.gif:
