To go along with the forerunner structures, you should have a block that can spawn sentinels (or some other forerunner droid), just like in the halos, and add something hidden deep in the structures (either some rewards, hidden 'secrets' or something like that ).
Outside some of the structures, there could be a covenant/flood ship near it, spawning either one of those. Leading the covenant squads could be a high-ranking zealot
I am planning much better stuff than that. Of course, it will all take much longer to get in game (especially with the update status as it is.)
I just hope it does not suck like reach but instead stays true to the trilogy.
well if you watch some of the Halo 4 Behind the Scene videos on Waypoint they do say it's 5 years after the events of Halo 3, and IMHO I think Reach filled in some plot holes while creating them though, A: the Phantoms were actually made during the time of halo 2, yet they appear in Reach 10x more often them Spirits did. B: in CE the AR had 60 rounds and could kill a fully shielded Elite with still 20 rounds left THEN it was reduced to 32 in exchange for power and accuracy, but in Reach the AR still has 32 rounds, and can ONLY take out shields and some health without reloading but was just as inaccurate has the CE AR was, WTH? And here's three plot holes in Halo 4 A: the turret looks and functions exactly the same as the Reach turret did, what happened there? did they go to the triple barrel one and say "nope don't like it" and went back to the Reach one? B: the same as above but for the Banshee C: In halo 1,2 and 3 they didn't use the concussion rifle ammo on dropshinps like in Reach, so suddenly after 5 or 6 years the Covenant said "nope, don't like the rapid fire plasma cannon, switching back to explosive" or something like that?

These are just examples of what i call "The Fatal Flaw of Prequels". (The biggest example being Star Wars, though pretty much any video game/movie prequel follows this).
When making something new, the developer wants to add new stuff, fix old stuff, and improve the experience overall. However, this will always appear drastically out of place in a prequel, but is done regardless for marketing/sales purposes. (Essentially, Money > Storyline)
The examples you listed are mostly just gameplay fixes and progressions. From the developer's perspective, the chronology of the series is the order of game creation, not the chronology of the storyline. Bungie put new stuff in Reach to improve and balance gameplay, so 343 kept it for Halo 4, even though it doesn't make much sense in the story.
I'm not happy about it, but its just how it works. (When I write something, I make sure I map out potential prequel stories ahead of time to avoid having issues)

ok, at least you listened, or read (lol),besides, updating a mod to 1.3.2/1.4 etc is difficult mainly on your own. if you get a page up for help i'll be happy to help advertise

I think you guys should work with the only other active Halo modder 338fae. You basically do the same thing but you both have to do it,if you worked together it could get done faster.
They screwed up with Forge again. Once again they made a game were you cannot forge anything fun.

Not on my watch. He is rather .... noobish, uses poorly made armors that rip off Hellcraft and at least 1 other artist, claims his mod is "realistic", and uses an adfly download (which breaks the Microsoft rules of game content usage and copyright laws in general).
anyone got some good campaign vids for halo 4? i have to wait till Christmas for a copy, family present..... (RAGE! I WANT IT NOW!)

They screwed it up by having a very small list of placeable objects. Halo 3 forge you had such variety walls,explosives,barrels. ect.
