Holy **** on a **** sandwich! This mod actually updated. If I didn't already have as many mods as I can probably stuff into my Minecraft at the moment, I would totally beta test this for you.
You totally deserve a brofist for actually persevering to update, man. *brofist*
So...did you ever get that map thing sorted out?
Also, I second trying the sword block animation for eating. Even if it sucks, it's probably better than nothing, until you get a proper eating animation.

Black as the shadow that yet remains and Red for the blood that runs in our veins.
i cant wait for this mod to be compatible with smart moving! will that mean you can make it when your crawling you can see your body as well? including the sliding and climbing? that would be really cool if you can.
That's what I'm aiming for. For now I have more urgent issues with this mod that needs to be fixed, but I'll add those features eventually.
I found a bug with the mod, and I just wanted to give you the link. The video is unlisted so only you guys can see it.
Thanks for the bug report. I'm currently investigating on it, and it look it might take much effort to track down what's causing it. Editing the EntityRenderer.java (the lr.class) directly seems to fix the issue but that class is edited by so many other mods.
Okay. Since you are using optifine multicore, you don't need to install mc patcher. All of the optifine versions except optifine Light have default HD-texture support.
That's strange. The seeing-through-blocks bug should have been fixed in the 1.2.5r2 version. I'll see if I can reproduce the bug. As for the bug with the map, I'll see what I can do about it.
Well when I look to the left or right, the shoulder blocks some of my sight of view. Also, when I'm looking down, the armour is kinda in the way. I just want to say, this mod is great, but everyone is telling you problems, you worked on it for awhile, so I just think you need to take a break. Don't work yourself too hard. One of the best mods out there in my opinion.
Thanks! I just tested with armors on and armors really get into sight when looking down. Maybe adding a limit to how low player can look down will prevent players from seeing the ugly side of the armor, but I'll have to add that later after fixing the current issues.
I just looked at the zombe's mod pack files and it seems that upcoming non-forge version should be compatible with it. There is a problem with item renderering in non-forge version and as soon as that problem is fixed, non-forge version should be ready for release.

Haha thanks!
Yes the map displays correctly now. All I did was just update the mod and the map worked correctly. It must've been fixed by minecraft updates before. I'll be definitely using sword block animation for eating animation. It can serve as temporary animation, or better, as a "base" that I can improve upon later. Anyways, thanks for the comeback!

there is an item-renderering problem in non-forge version I'm currently trying to fix. Once that problem is fixed, the non-forge version should be ready for release. sorry for keeping you waiting.

I guess that just goes to show you: Update your mod to newer versions of Minecraft before you try to iron out all of the bugs. Because, in about half of the cases, updated versions of Minecraft, as well as of whatever tools you're using (MCP, Modloader, Forge, etc.) may have already fixed the problem(s) for you; or at least made troubleshooting/workarounds easier.

Yeah.. If I tried updating it earlier (maybe 1.0.0) and noticed that the map was fixed, this mod would be finished by now
I was testing it, everything looks fine, but when i start the world, it gets black screen and crashes. Why? (Checked ModLoader.txt in .minecraft, no errors found there) I'm using Smart Moving. Can this error be for it?
Because i saw some people that said it's incompatible with Smart Moving.
Smart Moving is incompatible, but that shouldn't cause crash with this mod. if you get an error log when you try to start world, can you paste it here? Also, even if the modloader.txt doesn't show any errors, can you paste it here also? It would make it easier to track down which mod is conflicting with this mod

Currently working on it Just one problem needs to be fixed in the non-forge version before releasing.
That's nice idea! don't know why I didn't think of it before. Thanks for the idea anyways!
Haha thanks!

Well insted of making so that you can't look down, maybe you can make a limit to how far you can look down when only using armour. If your not using armour, you can see as well as you can see in "1.2.5r2"

Sadly, it's not compatible yet. But compatibility with smart moving is planned

I have always used this mod with Smart Moving. And it has never crashed, ever. I even installed optifine, forge, smartmoving, modloader, and spc, and it has never crashed. Perhaps there is something wrong not in smartmoving, but it is certainly compatible enough to use. with smart moving.

That would be nice idea to prevent seeing through armor. I'll be adding that functionality in later versions.
awesome i just had to reinstall my mods and this worked awesome the only thing is when i wear armor i can see through myself
I am using it with smart moving
Yes in the future release there will be a limit to how much players can look down to prevent the issue with seeing through armor. Smart moving isn't compatible yet with this mod in terms of functionality, although both can be installed without crashes.
It looks epic, I've actually never seen a first person mod for Minecraft before! It fits well into the vanilla Minecraft which is kindof hard to accomplish. +

In terms of coding, both are compatible and do not cause crashes. They are not compatible in terms of functionality though. When you crawl in smart moving, the "camera" won't be in the correct place.
I'll see if this mod can be made compatible with Mine Little Pony mod.
Btw, just a quick note, the problem is that the camera is in the wrong position when playing as a pony.
Similar to the problem with smart moving.
Fix that and the seeing through armor(I know it's planned to be fixed) I'll be using this all the time. Thanks!

All right. I may have a glimpse of how Mine little pony mod works. I'll be working on bugfixes and mod compatibility for next release

EDIT:
The version 1.2.5r3 is now released! This release fixes some of the known bugs and includes separate downloads for people not using minecraft forge. For next release, I'll be working on making this mod compatible with other mods and fixing other bugs.
Also, I'll be requesting one of the moderators to move this thread to the released mods section.
One problem right now.

When sprint jumping in two directions, the camera tilts.
When sprint jumping the other two directions, it's fine.
Thanks for the report! I tested with vanilla minecraft and found that the camera isn't supposed to tilt when sprint jumping. I might have found what's causing this and the fix will be in next release.
Is it possible to make the Composite bow in Better than wolves use this mod's animation, currently it looks like the bow in hand in 3rd person prior to 1.8

Oh xD I should make a topic about that since about like a eighth of Minecraft doesn't know about that.
