Send me the debug log? Enable Debug Logging in the config and trigger the glitch, then put it on pastebin.com or something like that. Don't forget to turn off debug logging when you're done.
I lined up some blocks;
Diamond Ore, Cobble, Stone, Brick, Stone Brick, Iron Block.
In my hotbar I had 3 diamond pickaxes. One unenchanted, one Silk touch, one Fortune.
I started with a empty DEBUG.txt. I wrote 1 of each block, and I got the DEBUG.txt for you, but it's 10567 lines... But here you go https://drive.google...YTVKOXducVJrRmM
I put it on google drive so you could download it, it's very large for pastebin.
It seemed to use the Silk touch pick on the diamond ore. It used the unenchanted pick on the stone, then it used silk touch on cobble, brick, stone brick and iron block.

Could you make it so gravity blocks don't effect tool selection in the auto switch mod. and by that i mean entity.fallingsand, entity.fallinggravel... the falling varity, your curser should be able to see through that entity, and to the top block, you can mine through it in vanilla minecraft, I did some test - this isn't is so very rare, but its annoying it has to switch and switch back

thebombzen, I know that your OP says the 1.6.4 version is not supported, however I was wondering if you will be making a bukkit version of EnchantView for 1.6.4, or could fix the crash I'm having? My server crashes when using your mod with MCPC+ (idk if it's a bug there or here, does fine without MCPC+). I love your mod but I also need some of the features using MCPC+ brings.
Here's the crash report if you're interested.

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don't have time, or just aren't interested, I will understand.
Edit: I just read a post a page or two back where you said you will not ever issue an update for an older minecraft version. I apologize for the request. Do you see anything in the crash log however that I could fix on my end?
Well you actually can't mine through it in vanilla . Test again.
You can but only on stone, and only w/ efficiency 5 ( I guess you mine before it falls, then it goes through) but if you have autoswitch on you can complete the action because it switches tools far too soon in this case

If you're ever able to dig a block then AutoSwitch will switch. If AS won't switch because there's a falling sand entity in front, then you wouldn't be able to dig it anyway.

Somehow Version 5.0.0 is getting confused with Axes.
With only AutoSwitch and treecapitator installed using any axe will auto-switch to hand.
Disabling autoswitch (F10) and clicking tree with Axe will allow treecapitator to work.
With AutoSwitch on, using vanilla wood/iron/diamond axe switches to hand.
All tree types tested. (Jungle, Birch, Oak, etc...)

Ok, I did some more testing. DaftPVF/bspkrs screwed around with the time it takes to dig blocks with Treecapacitator enabled, modifying the game so axes don't dig blocks as fast as they do in vanilla. In fact, they don't dig them faster than a fist.
AutoSwitch correctly detects that
1. You can harvest a log with or without an axe
2. There's no speed difference between an axe and a fist
3. An axe is damageable, which makes it inferior (as if you used a shovel or sword).
This means that because DaftPVF/bspkrs screwed around with the dig speed AS does everything correctly.
Ways to fix this:
1. Whine and moan on the Treecapacitator thread. They have no business changing around the dig speed in order to "balance" the game. If you wanted balance, then you wouldn't use Treecapacitator >8-[
2. You could just add
S @diamond_axe > [1]log
to your config file and ignore the fact that DaftPVF/bspkrs clearly don't care about their users. Pfft.

I ended up disabling the tree height time adjustment and set the break speed to 1.
For anyone that wants a reference, config/TreeCapitator.cfg was modified such that:
break_speed_settings {
# [Global, PerTree] When using an item that can chop trees, the break speed will by multiplied by this value
# THIS OPTION IS IGNORED WHEN treeHeightDecidesBreakSpeed=true [range: 0.01 ~ 1.0, default: 0.256]
S:breakSpeedModifier=1
# [Global] When true, the log break speed is equal to original break speed / (tree height * <treeHeightModifier>)
# When false, the original break speed is multiplied by the breakSpeedModifier value [default: true]
B:treeHeightDecidesBreakSpeed=false
# [Global] See description for treeHeightDecidesBreakSpeed [range: 0.25 ~ 10.0, default: 2.0]
S:treeHeightModifier=2.0
}
At least this works for those that enjoy AutoSwitch and TreeCapitator.
Thanks for the awesome mods and dropping me a reply.
Question....I tried throwing the World Generation Tweaks on ftb. Does it have incompatibility issues with any other mod that tweaks the world or add biomes, like biomes o plenty or natura, or maybe even Thaumcraft? I noticed when I tried to load it, it gave me a black screen of death.

I had removed biomes of plenty from the pack, but natura and thaumcraft are still in it, as well as twilight forest. I'm not asking you to fix anything in ftb. I just want to find out if you have any obvious incompatibilities with the mod pack, and see if there's a mod I can easily remove from it to make this work.
I can't stand biome mods that drown out all the vanilla biomes, and would much rather tweak what's already provided to us, instead.

You're right, EnchantView is boring. AutoSwitch also used to be boring too. I installed it and it Just Worked.
But with v5 it has become more interesting.
I use Thaumcraft's Pickaxe of the Core and Axe of the Stream. When I mine stone, Autoswitch is switching to the Axe instead of the Pick.
I guess I have to learn about your config file formats now!
Thanks for the great mod,
KeepOnDigging!
I can't replicate this. For me, AS uses the Pickaxe of the Core on minecraft:stone, even with an Axe of the Stream in the hotbar. You're going to have to send me a DEBUG log if you need this to be fixed.
EDIT: Check if your Tool Selection Mode is set to Slow Standard. If so, turn it to Fast Standard.

Anyway, I can't update yet. I got a crappy computer that can't handle the new ftb...the new stuff requires 64 bit, and I got a machine that can only handle 32 bit. I'm hoping by Xmas I can afford a new one (knock on wood), but until then I'm stuck.
I understand you don't support the old version. I'm just asking if your old version had conflicts with any particular program in there that I'd be able to simply remove to possibly stop the conflict and get it working.

If you don't have time, or just aren't interested, I will understand.
Edit: I just read a post a page or two back where you said you will not ever issue an update for an older minecraft version. I apologize for the request. Do you see anything in the crash log however that I could fix on my end?
You can but only on stone, and only w/ efficiency 5 ( I guess you mine before it falls, then it goes through) but if you have autoswitch on you can complete the action because it switches tools far too soon in this case
If you're ever able to dig a block then AutoSwitch will switch. If AS won't switch because there's a falling sand entity in front, then you wouldn't be able to dig it anyway.

AutoSwitch 5.0.0 is out OMG OMG OMG
Also WAGT is updated and MA has some sweet new features and debugging is less spammy with the API
And EnchantView is boring. Because it is. And it now works with the new API like all the other mods do.

EDIT: See below.

2. You could just add
to your config file and ignore the fact that DaftPVF/bspkrs clearly don't care about their users. Pfft.

I ended up disabling the tree height time adjustment and set the break speed to 1.
For anyone that wants a reference, config/TreeCapitator.cfg was modified such that:
At least this works for those that enjoy AutoSwitch and TreeCapitator.
Thanks for the awesome mods and dropping me a reply.

Useful things often are!
And by almost perfect timing... Bukkit's 1.7.9 Beta build was released!
Everfree Server - A small & friendly survival build server for older 'Crafters.
Pity you think so since it’s the only one of your mods I use ;-P
I don’t suppose it’ll get a Craftbukkit update anytime soon?
If this helps, this is the ending log I got from the ftb console, when it was trying to load:

I had removed biomes of plenty from the pack, but natura and thaumcraft are still in it, as well as twilight forest. I'm not asking you to fix anything in ftb. I just want to find out if you have any obvious incompatibilities with the mod pack, and see if there's a mod I can easily remove from it to make this work.
I can't stand biome mods that drown out all the vanilla biomes, and would much rather tweak what's already provided to us, instead.
You're using an OLD OLD OLD version. OLD. Update.
