Other mods' processing machines will do the same things that the crusher and furnace do, but you won't get the other mods' features (5X yield from mek, secondary items from TE) since there were no specific recipes for them written into those mods.
Hi, can someone help me explain exactly how the tartarite enchanting table works? I see one slot for the item. Six slots for other stuff (what exactly?) and then six enchanting possibilities. I managed to get an enchanted pickaxe using it but not by clicking on any of the level slots. Instead I had to put in some item in one of the six extra slots. But how does this work exactly? The youtube tutorials I found on the web are apparently for an older version of this table.
Never mind, found out it is not fully implemented yet. Pity

are there any plans to make hopper types? (stone hopper is the basic hopper, copper hopper has a speed 1.5 times faster, but only 1 extra slot, bronze hopper 1.5 times faster than copper, 2 more slots than copper, iron hopper 1.5 times faster than bronze, full hotbar of space, and lastly, the steel hopper 2 times faster than iron, 2x9 spaces) these are just suggestion and i was hoping for more hoppers in minecraft (love them)

Hi I have a problem, And there's one person more asking for this.
Its about the particles of some ores, there are two extra particles, one its like little sparks and the other it's the particle of some nether ores, the first one, the sparkles, cause so much lag, even with optifine, and worst, with optifine, the particles of the nether ores, makes a crash, something about "tesselator particles"
I deactivated the ores "Ceruclase" "Kalendrite" "Midasium" and "Sanguinite", this ones are the ores with the extra particle (not vanilla) and THIS particle, cause a hight FPS drop, My PC runs Minecraft in 80-110 FPS and everytime I'M NEAR of this particles (when they are visibles) the FPS drop to 10-30, thats ridiculous, then, I use Optifine, but everytime that i go to the nether, this particles cause an crash (again, only with optifine)
there must be a way to deactivate the particles OF THE MOD (I know that actually not, but PLEASE, make a mini update of M3 for solving this, or something, I'm not the only one with this problem)
The other particles (the sparkly ones) do not make problems, but surely there must be someone that would happening this.

Do NOT use Optifine, instead it should be called OptiFry, try without Optifi e please...

I use OptiFine just fine with metallurgy and tons of other mods. It works perfectly and I wouldn't be able to miss the huge viewing distances that OptiFine gives me :-)

Just use Zoom mod, also what's your processor and graphics card?

Using Optifine to do anything other than improve an otherwise vanilla client is like playing russian roulette with your world. Get rid of optifine and it'll probably work just fine.

Nvidia GTX460 and 64-bit cpu (don't remember what exactly and not at home to check). Anyway, I have no issues with OptFine and in my cases it also increases performance considerably so I'm not getting rid of it in any case.

I'm currently hosting a private server with Twilight Forest and Metallurgy 3 loaded. We just recently noticed that any twilight pick can mine any Metallurgy Ore. I went looking through configs and around different forums but didn't find anything. Is there any way to change the stats of Twilight Forest picks so they work with Metallurgy ores? You know, so an ironwood pick can't mine adamantine ore.

Thanks in advance!
You can go into Metallurgy's configs and raise some ores' "Block Hardness". Getting them above 5 should do the trick.
Listen, Shadowclaimer. You listening? Good. I'm still playing 1.7.2 with NO metallurgy. I know, right? Obscene. Let's work on that together. And by "together", I mean "y'all."
I've subscribed to your Twitter to get stay "up to date on M4 development", but instead it's all, like, "Titanfall blaaaaah!"... actually, that's a great excuse. Carry on, then.
There was no effect after changing block hardness to 6, so I set it to 5000, and ironwood could still mine adamantine. o.0
Huh... that's odd. It worked with Biomes O'plenty's amethyst tools, which now can't mine above mithril. So I'd guess that this is something that'd have to be fixed from Twilight Forest's side.

I've been having a problem with Metallurgy 3 with quite a few other mods installed. Basically, every item, block, & otherwise from Metallurgy itself has name right after it. For example, Damascus Steel Ingot is Damascus Steel Ingot name, as well at the ore, the metal block, and the dust.
Do any of you have an idea on how to fix this? It's not a game-breaking issue, but it's fairly irritating. Here is a list of the mods I'm using:
Thaumcraft 4 (4.10g)
Not Enough Items (1.6.1.9)
WAILA (1.5.1a)
Tinkers' Construct (1.5.3)
Metallurgy 3 (3.3.2) (all of the default child mods included with the normal Metallurgy download)
Thaumic Tinkerer (2.3)
ExtraTIC (adds Metallurgy metals as Tinker tool parts) (0.7.6)
NEI Plugins (1.1.0.6)
Code Chicken Core (0.9.0.9)
COFH Core (2.0.0.2)
Ender Storage (1.4.3.6)
KeithyUtils (1.2.1.6)
Thermal Expansion (3.0.0.2)
Tinkers' Mechworks (0.1.4.2)

This is a known issue that was fixed in a patch, but that patch was subsequently pulled as it caused other issues. That patch was said to be the final patch for M3, so it's possible there won't be a fix for that issue until the mod is updated to Metallurgy 4.
Should be pretty obvious, but no, it won't. Not yet, anyway.
No, the team is working on M4 for 1.7

I think that I'm the only person on these forums to have the syndrome. if anyone else has it,
let me know
Its about the particles of some ores, there are two extra particles, one its like little sparks and the other it's the particle of some nether ores, the first one, the sparkles, cause so much lag, even with optifine, and worst, with optifine, the particles of the nether ores, makes a crash, something about "tesselator particles"

That's because you have Nvidia graphics card XD
Thanks in advance!
You can go into Metallurgy's configs and raise some ores' "Block Hardness". Getting them above 5 should do the trick.
There was no effect after changing block hardness to 6, so I set it to 5000, and ironwood could still mine adamantine. o.0
I've subscribed to your Twitter to get stay "up to date on M4 development", but instead it's all, like, "Titanfall blaaaaah!"... actually, that's a great excuse. Carry on, then.
Huh... that's odd. It worked with Biomes O'plenty's amethyst tools, which now can't mine above mithril. So I'd guess that this is something that'd have to be fixed from Twilight Forest's side.
Do any of you have an idea on how to fix this? It's not a game-breaking issue, but it's fairly irritating. Here is a list of the mods I'm using:
Not Enough Items (1.6.1.9)
WAILA (1.5.1a)
Tinkers' Construct (1.5.3)
Metallurgy 3 (3.3.2) (all of the default child mods included with the normal Metallurgy download)
Thaumic Tinkerer (2.3)
ExtraTIC (adds Metallurgy metals as Tinker tool parts) (0.7.6)
NEI Plugins (1.1.0.6)
Code Chicken Core (0.9.0.9)
COFH Core (2.0.0.2)
Ender Storage (1.4.3.6)
KeithyUtils (1.2.1.6)
Thermal Expansion (3.0.0.2)
Tinkers' Mechworks (0.1.4.2)
This is a known issue that was fixed in a patch, but that patch was subsequently pulled as it caused other issues. That patch was said to be the final patch for M3, so it's possible there won't be a fix for that issue until the mod is updated to Metallurgy 4.
