They are saying in their FAQ that they are no longer interested in adding Metallurgy support to their mod, but they released an api and the mod looked like it was sourced on github, do you guys think you would have the time to check out, and maybe make some sort of addon for tinerer con? I could really see the popularity of this skyrocketing if yours and thier mod had intertwined functionality.
Probably something a third-party modder would have to take up. Team Metallurgy is busy rewriting Metallurgy as Metallurgy Reforged right now.
In other news, ore dictionary support is borked for copper and tin (And possibly others) in the latest version. Any chance of getting this fixed before 1.6 drops.
Scratch that - Metallurgy tin and copper work fine for other recipes. It's just the Tinker's Construct Smeltery that they're not working in. I guess that's mDiyo's deal.

mDiyo is in charge of Tinker's, due to the vast amount of materials necessary and artwork assets required he decided to pass on it. We won't be providing direct support for Tinker's ourselves. If another third party wants to, they have our blessing, but we don't have time to between Reforged and Atum.

I have been thinking of doing this for some time and have aquired the skills to do so, but I have one concern. 1.6 is supposedly releasing next week, and I feel as though it would be a waste of effort to make the addon for 1.5. There is of course, the time needed for this and TConstruct to update, so I would like your word on it: Do you think I should go ahead with 1.5 or wait for 1.6?
Wait for after 1.6, just safer that way. Who knows what might change regarding textures with 1.6 or Forge in that time.

You guys should post a big recap here about what you've been working on for Metallurgy Reforged. I think there are definitely people here who check the forums that would be very interested! Plus, it would be nice to see everything in an organized fashion! Haha.

Eventually, we'll be doing it once things get more done and showable. Anyone who wants more info can follow me and Keith on Twitter (@Shadowclaimer or @RebelKeithy) or subscribe to us on Twitch ( or ).
Never mind, I found a download for the 1.4.7 version on the tekkit launcher. Still would recommend to keep the old downloads up though, to support the mod creator and everything. Here's the tekkit launcher Url for anyone else who needs it:http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/metallurgy-2
We don't keep older versions around much for a lot of reasons, primarily due to mis-placed bug reports and such (also because it consumes a lot of room in the post). The new Curse Forge will maintain all old files however, so starting with this version there will always be a backlog of previous versions for players to access.
Within the last few iterations of M3 and Tinker's Construct I've noticed that M3's base metals stopped working in the TC smeltery.
mDiyo says the issue is on your guys end - Probably with the way you register your ores.
Also, if I type an ore name into the creative search, it never pulls up the actual ore block, even though it's there if I navigate to the tab. Dunno if it's related.
I know you guys are scrapping M3 in favor of Reforged, but is there any way you could put out a quick fix for this one issue?

Frankly there is a bit of overlap now between TC and Metallurgy and TC is becoming a rather big mod in its own right, so I decided to put these in seperate mod combos.
Is there a metallurgy 3 for 1.5.1, I am putting several mods together and some of them aren't updated, including ID Resolver which will help with some of the mods that have a lot of ID issues. I tried running with the latest update but am running into problems (I was hoping it would work but not really expecting it to). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, awesome! I didn't think you guys would continue to update this.
I can search for ores now - But it's still incompatible with Tinker's Smeltery. I'm starting to think it's because your ore blocks have a meta id. I tried giving them all unique ids, but I was forced to add a :0 - Still, it didn't work. If we've got the blockspace, is there any way we can just assign ores single block ids?

It's not because of the ids, forestry does the same thing, I talked with mDiyo about it, but wasn't able to figure out what is going on yet.

The latest version of M3 should work with 1.5.1, post a crashlog and I'll see what's going on.

Ah, well I really appreciate you taking the time to at least look into it. It's certainly a really weird bug seeing as how all other mod's ores work just fine in TC's smeltery and M3's ores work as substitutions for every other mod except TC. Here's hoping you can find the problem eventually.

-Updated IC2 api to the latest version
-Fixed crash when disabling certain metals
-Ores now show up in the creative search tab
-Fixed log spamming
Its awaiting approval but should be active shortly.

What if you don't use IC2?
