anyway, still can't wait for the new metal to surface! (although I must say that diamond should be above mythril on the tiering. it's WAY too common to be above diamond.)

Mithril and Diamond are actually pretty much the same spawn ratios, the difference is that Diamond has almost 5x the durability of Mithril.
Just like to say this mod is one of the only reasons I'm still playing minecraft,vanilla seems so empty mining wise these days. I'm loving the new tier system, I think it was sort of needed due to the ease of mining most of the ores with a rather easy to aquire iron pick.
Speaking of iron, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I can still mine iron viens with a stone pick. With the new tier system that means I'm skipping roughly 3 tiers making copper/tin/bronze somewhat obsolete.
Other then that have a few on me and can't wait for 1.3 :biggrin.gif:

this has prolly been asked before... but since this uses forge and dust... any way to make it check if IC2 is installed and the require the ores to be macerated so they become dust? :smile.gif: Since i kinda agree that minecraft misses the whole progression part in it's gameplay... but not only in ores, in mobs too :smile.gif:
Eventually an IC2 addon will be coming, I meant for it to be out a lot sooner its just other things have come up.

Just checked using the TooManyItems mod, I can't break Notch's iron but I can break the iron vein with a stone pick, gonna try reinstalling the mod on a fresh jar see what happens, will let you know if it fixs it.

You're really beginning to annoy me. I just blatantly said to stop asking when the next update will be. Paranoidium had already said it too.
The armor has the same absorption rating across the board, but different durabilities.
Why are adamantine and platinum so rare? I've been playing with this for about 7 hours and I've only found 2 adamantine and no platinum at all. I know I could probably adjust the spawn rate, but it would kind of feel like cheating. Any tips for finding them?

There are 3 small veins of each per chunk, out of 275,000 blocks in a chunk, that's a lot of possibilities. I say use Mountains, the ore kinda sticks out usually when you see it.

There won't ever be dual wielding, that's too much coding and requires too much stuff I don't even know how to begin to work with.
Other things are always possible in Submods, the Metallurgy Core will always be for mining though.

you could make your mod compatible with his mod
