Hey, Shadowclaimer. Why don't you talk with Kinniken, creator of Millenaire, and see if you both could come up with a compatability patch to finally put some use to those Metallurgy coins? I'm sure that'd make a bunch of people happy.
Actually there's a config file somewhere for Millenaire that lets you choose what you can/can't sell to the villagers, I fully intended to go about making it to where my coins will sell to villagers for a set amount based on what the coin is.
That'd be a simple download probably that you'd drop somewhere, I just have to figure out where to goes.

He sat down and explained to me how to get @MLProp configs to boot properly. The result, IDs work properly. Kinda funny because my debug test for them involved setting them to the IDs of other blocks to see if it blew up, first time a crash meant success for me.

I can safely say, that is an astounding list, sadly I can easily eliminate a large portion of the ideas solely because Gemstones in this mod are going to be used later on for a different purpose (a special type of enchanting possibly) and I have big plans for a lot of gems named similar (no armor/weapons with them though)
-Lead will be added with the Modern Metals update later, it probably won't be used for tools
-Pyrite might be added soon, it'd be a legit Fool's Gold, you wouldn't know it was Pyrite until you actually break it into dust and get a "dull gold dust"
-Cobalt is coming with Modern Metals
Due to the way my tool and armor system is setup, I cannot differentiate the two very well (They both pull form the same batch of materials for strengths etc.). I love a lot of those ideas, but I feel like they're better suited for another more fantasy-oriented mod than Metallurgy (even though Metallurgy has touches of fantasy, I try to keep it realistic based and the fantasy metals at least are attempted to be as fantasy as possible).
Some advice I would give truthfully would be to look into alternate names for some ores and trying to simplify the tree a little, some ores (Devilstone for instance) try finding a latin based root for the word Devil and a typical ending suffix for a gemstone (Diablite for instance sounds way better than Devilstone). The other bit is that the ores are overwhelmingly confusing, I feel like that list is all over the place (I get that its kind of listed in order) but basically you'll want to try to spread them out enough to where people feel a constant state of progress without instant jumps.
They're all amazing ideas though, I definitely say if you can make a mod with all that you definitely have a nice future ahead of you.

Thanks for the reply and I was doing a lil testing with each metal's tools and it seems they all have the same damage and speed for destroying blocks are you planning to leave it this way or going to change their speed, damage, and durability later on? Great mod anyways :smile.gif:

Negative at the moment, I've put the focus inwards towards finishing up Metallurgy's features then doing the addons. But it'll be one of the first I do.

So I had compiled all the files into one right, well ends up that was a BAD idea, so I spent a few hours UNDOING what I had done. Then when I got them separated I created two new mod files. mod_MetallurgyzAchievements and mod_MetallurgyzRecipes, Achievements of course loads after all the ores (now named Mod_MetallurgyOre<name>) which saves an annoying crash, and Recipes now loads after everything so it can pull ores from all the Ore files properly..
My God that was annoying.
But the good news is its more organized now, bad news is I have a splitting migraine.

i finally figured out why i wasnt seeing your ores only the notch core ones shown. i had installed the mod right but i opened a world that had already generated thus it didnt preload your new ores. so i created a new world and Vola i see them all now. well i see some rest ill have to hunt lol.
never the less i made a schematic of my twin split castle and moved it over to the new world and now im good to go.
im looking forward to the next update you bring im loving this mod but im still learning the functions of what each metal and ore is for.

i agree with you on everything except pyrite and ammolite. ammolite is the gem stone form of fossilized ammonites( a squid that lived in a shell ), and where i live (near one of the richest sources of ammolite in Canada) this mineral is very weak as its mostly made from calcite and mineral crystals. ammolite is thought to form the same way opals form.
pyrite is the natural form of iron oxide. it forms cubes crystals. these crystals are very weak and can be crushed into a powder with your fingers in most cases. this mineral though is a great source of iron ore and several other rare precious metals including silver, lead, gold, copper, uraninite ( uranium ore ). the down fall of this mineral is that it creates whats known as acid drainage. when this ore comes in contact with air and water sulfuric acid is formed, and when this goes into river systems... it kills all life in them. read up of the cronin mine if you want to know some bad stuff about acid rock drainage :biggrin.gif:

Nether gemstones
-Volite:as rare as iron. very strong tools but slow speeds. Never make armor with this, it hurts you.
-Cromite:2x as rare as Volite and makes very strong, semi-fast tools
-Rolite:3x as rare as Cromite and is only found in veins of 2 max. makes great armor but extremely fast tools. tools break 0.5x as fast as gold tools

-Gadeare ore:rare ore only found in small quantities. makes fast tools and good armor.
-Endaniter:Rarest gemstone in the game. found in veins of 1 max. makes invincible armor and tools and takes a long time to smelt. Good luck finding it.

ORES IN THE OVERWORLD!(from least rare to most rare)
-Coal: For comparison.
-MoonStone: a grey gem about 1.8x as rare as coal. Terrible armor and OK tools.
-Zirakcona: A Yellow-Orange Gemstone that has the same properties as coal. lasts longer in furnace than coal and makes brighter torches.
-Iron: for comparison
-Garenta: a Deep-Red gemstone that makes for fairly good tools and balanced armor.
-Lead: a smelt able, black ore. used for making tools.Very slow speeds and breaks easily. do not mistake this for a rare ore. NO ARMOR FOR LEAD!
-Gold: for comparison
-Cobalt: a blue ore that makes for good tools and good armor.
-Snowflake obsidian: a rare ore made around when when the earth was just being made.Very good for tools and makes even better armor.
-Spinel: a great pink gemstone that makes strong, fast tools.The downside is that it makes the WORST armor in the game.
-Sugilite: a Dark purple ore that makes for great armor and great tools.
-Diamond: for comparison.
-Marlikiter: a magical brown gemstone that makes for amazing tools and armor that makes you fall slower and makes no falling damage.
-AngelStone: Rarest ore in the game. 3x as rare as diamonds.Always comes in veins of 2. Gives you armor with wings and tools with Holy powers.
NETHER ORES
-Hellstone: un-rare ore that makes horrible tools and cannot make armor.
-Netheruby: a nether type gemstone that is the nether equilivent of iron.
-Devilstone: an ore found in hellstone that is infused with a demon itself. Using this it the real world will unleash the fury of the devil. only Angelstone can save the overworld when these creatures are realesed. Note: you've been warned.
End-Realm Gems
-Endemite: a black ore that is fairly good and can not make armor.
-Judinemer: A dark Blue-Green colored Metal that makes for great tools and amazing armor.

I can safely say, that is an astounding list, sadly I can easily eliminate a large portion of the ideas solely because Gemstones in this mod are going to be used later on for a different purpose (a special type of enchanting possibly) and I have big plans for a lot of gems named similar (no armor/weapons with them though)
-Lead will be added with the Modern Metals update later, it probably won't be used for tools
-Pyrite might be added soon, it'd be a legit Fool's Gold, you wouldn't know it was Pyrite until you actually break it into dust and get a "dull gold dust"
-Cobalt is coming with Modern Metals
Due to the way my tool and armor system is setup, I cannot differentiate the two very well (They both pull form the same batch of materials for strengths etc.). I love a lot of those ideas, but I feel like they're better suited for another more fantasy-oriented mod than Metallurgy (even though Metallurgy has touches of fantasy, I try to keep it realistic based and the fantasy metals at least are attempted to be as fantasy as possible).
Some advice I would give truthfully would be to look into alternate names for some ores and trying to simplify the tree a little, some ores (Devilstone for instance) try finding a latin based root for the word Devil and a typical ending suffix for a gemstone (Diablite for instance sounds way better than Devilstone). The other bit is that the ores are overwhelmingly confusing, I feel like that list is all over the place (I get that its kind of listed in order) but basically you'll want to try to spread them out enough to where people feel a constant state of progress without instant jumps.
They're all amazing ideas though, I definitely say if you can make a mod with all that you definitely have a nice future ahead of you.

Negative at the moment, I've put the focus inwards towards finishing up Metallurgy's features then doing the addons. But it'll be one of the first I do.

So I had compiled all the files into one right, well ends up that was a BAD idea, so I spent a few hours UNDOING what I had done. Then when I got them separated I created two new mod files. mod_MetallurgyzAchievements and mod_MetallurgyzRecipes, Achievements of course loads after all the ores (now named Mod_MetallurgyOre<name>) which saves an annoying crash, and Recipes now loads after everything so it can pull ores from all the Ore files properly..
My God that was annoying.
But the good news is its more organized now, bad news is I have a splitting migraine.

i finally figured out why i wasnt seeing your ores only the notch core ones shown. i had installed the mod right but i opened a world that had already generated thus it didnt preload your new ores. so i created a new world and Vola i see them all now. well i see some rest ill have to hunt lol.
never the less i made a schematic of my twin split castle and moved it over to the new world and now im good to go.
im looking forward to the next update you bring im loving this mod but im still learning the functions of what each metal and ore is for.

i agree with you on everything except pyrite and ammolite. ammolite is the gem stone form of fossilized ammonites( a squid that lived in a shell ), and where i live (near one of the richest sources of ammolite in Canada) this mineral is very weak as its mostly made from calcite and mineral crystals. ammolite is thought to form the same way opals form.
pyrite is the natural form of iron oxide. it forms cubes crystals. these crystals are very weak and can be crushed into a powder with your fingers in most cases. this mineral though is a great source of iron ore and several other rare precious metals including silver, lead, gold, copper, uraninite ( uranium ore ). the down fall of this mineral is that it creates whats known as acid drainage. when this ore comes in contact with air and water sulfuric acid is formed, and when this goes into river systems... it kills all life in them. read up of the cronin mine if you want to know some bad stuff about acid rock drainage :biggrin.gif:

There's a new armor piece for every metal so far (Copper, Bronze, Steel, Mithril, Orichalcum, Adamantine) and when I do the new alloys there will be even more.
