Oh wow, this certainly proves there's a problem with windows 7 and my java programming (and not just a random bug).
I wonder why I didn't get this many messages about this problem when the mod was still called adaptive HUD.
I am currently looking into this problem and I hope it's an easy fix. Or I might have to do something drastic.
EDIT: I've traced the problem to the load routine.
Minecraft(java) isn't seeing the files because I am using a relative path to them. When that happens it simply exits the load routine and doesn't output any error, because when you first start up the mod it won't find any file anyway. (note: I've added a debug message to this event so it will show up in the console next time)
I've been so fixated on the save routine that I've forgotten about any errors in the load routine. the save routine needs to make a folder if it doesn't exist, so there's a lot of things that could go wrong with that, that's why.
TL;DR: The problem will (should) be fixed in the next update.
in the future, will there be an option to change any individual bars angle? like from horizontal to vertical? that would be the best and i would love yo forever no homo
@Miner_13 - The hunger bar will be fixed in the next version
@RDman12 - Please read before you post next time. You can see in my previous post this issue has been addressed and should be fixed with the next update.
@Display_Name_Here - Yes. And I would love you too (no homo).
awesome mod! I am running 1.0.0 on Mac OS Lion and i too am experiencing the bug where it does not remember the settings. My hunger bar also shakes whenever it has decreased even slightly.
A bug that i would like to report is that the image that goes over the selected item in the bar (the white square) loses transparency when this mod is installed.
I really enjoy this mod and am glad you are working on it!

there used to be a mod that auto hid the bar when it wasn't being used sort of like the windows taskbar.
it pretty much acted as a auto F1.
the ways the bar popped up was through the following:-----(it was customizable)
1. picking up a item that went to the taskbar (inv slot 1-9)
2. scrolling the mouse wheel (or pressing the corresponding inv number)
3. damage taken
4. item dropped
5. accessing guis (ie, inv, chests, dispensers, and so on)
i cant find that mod anymore and it hasn't been updated since 1.6 or something like that if im not mistaken, but are you willing to do something like this? i play on a plasma tv and minecraft causes IR (image retention) but having to hit F1 constantly gets annoying.

I remember that mod. I think the mod developer decided he would redo the entire thing for minecraft 1.0 so he could put more features in. The fading wasn't there though. When I asked the developer he said he wasn't done with it yet and that the feature will return.
I'll see if I can find a link to his topic.
When it's done. I'm currently implementing the last remaining features that I want in. so soon-ish.

Hello I made you a mod spotlight because this mod definitely is worth one! :biggrin.gif:
Thanks for the spotlight :smile.gif: I thumbed it up.
I finally found the obscure bug that was causing the hunger bar to shake like that. It was caused by a function having the wrong number of arguments and thus not being called. I'm seeing a lot of people comment about the hunger bar, so I'm glad it's finally fixed.

The chatbox will also be featuring more options like the rest of the HUD in a future update. Though it might not be the next update.
Sadly player names are not drawn the same way as the HUD, so I can't disable them.
Your english is better than most of the "u" and "r"s I've seen on the internet.

rotating the item bar was a *****, but I pulled it off :biggrin.gif:
BTW: The mod now has over 1000 downloads. I could have made a whopping $4 if I used adfly! ohmygawd

i lol'd too... but then i though "that cheeky *******" then i remembered
Sorry for my bad english :/
I'm working on it, though I don't have a lot of time. ._.
I will try and get a release out before the end of the year.
Advanced Hud
Could you explain that a bit more?

The two main reasons are;
- This mod is expansive a it is.
- Modding the GuiInventory class would create more incompatibilities with other mods.

HUD turns purple when there's an enchanted item in your hand.
