this seems cool, but i think it would be better if you made a pack where the textures lean more towards default. not everyone uses your texture pack. :smile.gif:
I'll pretty much try anything you release, based on the quality of your texture pack. For everyone who's not familiar with this guy, check out his PureDBCraft texture pack as well... It's the most amazing pack I've ever seen, with support for tons of other mods and resolutions from 16 to 512 (although the "core" res is 128).
I don't mean to steal away the thunder for this new mod's release, but if you haven't checked out this guy's texture pack yet, you're missing out on something extremely special!
Thanks for the mod, Sphax! Looking forward to pretty much ANYTHING you create!
Yay! A function for that rune block in your texture pack! :biggrin.gif: Now if only this were something that could be used on my server, where everyone uses your pack already, that would be perfect.
Nice Idea, When I start playing SSP with mods later, this will come in handy. Always loved the light blocks from better than wolves, but hated having to install the entire mod for 1 block.

But I do and I'll be using this Mod. I like the Rune Blocks from when they were the default Jack O' Lantern skin. This should make some nice lights for my single player world.
Good luck with this and mods to come (hopefully). You've done an amazing job with this, only question is what version of Minecraft is this compatible with? You need to add it in the thread title as well so people can see before they click on the thread.
I've looked around but I have not been able to find the recipe for the baked clay block. How do I make that one?
You also mention that I need to use a pick axe for making the rune block. Is that literally using it on a placed block? Or use it as component in a recipe.
Anyway, great work on your texture pack. I've tried them all and finally found yours.
//Thanks
Edit: Heh, when I paused and thought about it, the answer was clear for this. :smile.gif: I figured it out.
Simply put a Clay block in the furnace to get a Baked Clay block. :wink.gif:
Then place thos new block somewhere and use a pickaxe on it to make it a rune block.
Finally, if you want to add a light in it, simple take the rune block and put a torch in it.
Enjoy. :wink.gif:
Those lanterns are pretty much identical to the Lamp Blocks in my mod. Only the crafting recipe is different :biggrin.gif:
Nice ideas, I like the Runelight, especially. I assume you can't wear the Carved Rune like a Pumpkin, though?
I didn't know that you've done some lanterns in your mod. I don't know if they work like mines however. In fact, I will probably support your mod someday as a patch for my Texturepack but I never tried your Mod (but I know it's a great one). :wink.gif:
You can't wear the Carved Rune like the Pumpkin but I'll maybe do that (if I find a use to it). :smile.gif:

Suggestion:
Perhaps you could make a hanging light that only goes on the bottom of blocks. So many times i've wanted that.
Have you tried playing with colors? They make moonlight blu maybe you can make different color of lights.
