like to point out a bug when i went to the Twilight forest(MC 1.0) wearing my enchanted stuff, after all is loaded my stuff turned into my previous items like iron stuffs and stone its a bummer can anyone confirm this bug or is it just me.
Who here has trouble loading after going into twilight forest and what other mods are you running?
If you are having trouble loading after going into the twilight forest, how did you install the mod? With the latest version you have to extract the mod files into your minecraft.jar. You can't just drop the twilightforest1.5r1.zip into your mods folder like you could in the previous version.
Sorry, I'm trying to fix it, but some of the loading code changed in version 1.0 and to make things work, I have to change one of the original minecraft files, so you have to overwrite the one file in minecraft.jar.
I'll try to make a note about this on the front page sometime tonight when I get home.

Also a word on balance. The hollow hills seem too easy and too rewarding. I think I got two stacks of iron and 4 stacks of redstone in one and I'm barely halfway done. Maybe cut the ores down to 1/2 or less and maybe add some flying enemies to make them really scary...
Can someone do a tutorial for this for macs :/ I can get minecraft running but when I try to make the portal it doesnt work. If someone could do one for macs that would be sweet.
It would be cool if you were able to find items that allowed you to change into animals. Imagin running around in a wolf pack! :laugh.gif: Kind of got inspiration from Ledgend of Zelda and other mods that make you into animals.
Another Idea from the guy who thought of the Mage Lord boss. The Forest Dragon. The Forest Dragon would have the same health and will follow the same attack pattern as the Ender Dragon but it would be green and yellow and be faster. It would spawn on really massive trees. Once you get to the top it would start attacking you by either charging you or using its "Verdant Breath" the Verdant Breath would cause grass, mushrooms, vines, and flowers on blocks while also poisoning you. The dragon could chase you all across the map with there being only three ways to escape: One you kill him, two you die, or three you hide inside something like a mage tower, your house, or anything else like those. If he kills you he will fly back to the massive tree. If you set the tree on fire he would charge you then the fire would go away making it near impossible to beat unless you fought it with like full diamond and had experience in fighting dragons.
It's a fun idea. One day I'll have to experiment with how well the existing dragon code deals with trees and other obstacles.
Not sure if this is new, but there's no Bedrock. My hardcore file found that out the hard way. And by hard way, I mean I fell into the void and died and had to delete my save because it's hardcore mode.
So sorry about that. It's not new, I just keep forgetting to fix that.
I found a really weird bug with the 1.8.1 version of this mod.
When used in conjunction with the Tale of Kingdoms mod, there is a chance that the Twilight Forest is seen as your main world, with things that would only occur there happening in the Twilight Forest. An example is ToK's Refuclus (sp?) tunnels appearing in the Twilight Forest dimension.
I finally tracked this one down. I made a dumb copy/paste error causes that. Does the latest version of Tale of Kingdoms fix this on their side? I can make a bugfix release if it doesn't.

Thanks for the feedback. Sometime in the future, I'd like to do a full re-balancing pass, where I check for things like this, and make sure the monsters have balanced health/damage/xp values. To be honest, that might not happen until I get bored with Skrim and Zelda though. :wink.gif:
I played this most for a good amount today, im very please, great mod, great work! id love to see more great features come out, although i will say the Naga Serpent was wayyyy harder to defeat than I thought! :smile.gif:
this mod is amazing, love it, absolutly love it, i have noticed that when you first enter the twilight forest not all the torch bugs give off light (i freaking love those little things, taking em off and putting em back on makes em show light though) but i know its supposed to be a twilight forest, but can we look forward to seeing some luminesenct plants too? and wolves, there seem to be aloooot of wolves, absolutley everywhere XD

Just minor ones such as: MOCREEPS, a flowers mod, and a few of risugami's.

At the moment, you can use them to make diamond armor. Chest and legs only.
