I go to the link for the Minecraft 1.1 even though 1.2.5 is out, and then there is the old downloads farther down on the page that are unlabeled. But 2 of them have 1.2.3 somewhere in the file name so I click on the first one, but there is not download link on some website with no labeling. Then I click the second link and the mediafire link they give you doesn't even work... Will it ever be fixed?
This mod is absolute chaos! It's the opposite of an API-- it breaks most of the mods out there. Buildcraft is awesome and all, but you need THIS piece of crap to run it.
PS- Hey Mojang, mind moving this ad out of my reply box? Thanks.

#1: Forge doesn't break other mods, other mods break forge. Although the few mods that do are very hacky anyways and usually aren't worth not having forge.
#2: Mojang has no affiliation with Minecraft Forums, and that ad in your reply box sounds like a browser issue to me.
I am having a little trouble installing forge with the current version on the front page, as build craft is 1.2.3 i am trying to download a previous version but every link i get from the lexmanos site redirect me to mediafire which is keep giving me errors when i try to download anything i have tried to download these files on multiple browsers, my laptop and also my phone all resulting int eh same error is there another source from where i can download Build #57. would be much appreciated.
thanks for any help given

Each time i downlode minecraft forge and then boot up minecraft, right after mojang i gat a brown screen then it turns to black and shuts down minecraft. anyone know what i should do?
I know this has been mentioned several times but I have yet to see an actual solution to it. My problem seems to be the same as many others. Using MC 1.2.5 I install Modloader, everything runs fine. Then I install ModloaderMP, everything runs fine. Then I install Forge and everything goes to crap. It gives me the brown/dirt screen when I log in then goes to black and closes. I have tried both .67 and .68 and I get the same issue. My error reads as follows:

ModLoader 1.2.5

mod_ModLoaderMp 1.2.5v1
mod_TooManyItems 1.2.5pre 2012-03-30

Just to clarify, I have also deleted my Meta INF folder
It's not updated to 1.2.5 yet, so I'm replying to you so that you talk to someone friendlier instead of a rude individual that belittles people who post update questions.

Just checked Jenkins and this is at the top, should I be worried :/
No, you shouldn't be worried because that just means that Lex doesn't want automatic updates be built into a release because it would not work because he hasn't checked it with mlmp yet.

wouldn't you rather go up to 1.2.5?
um check the buildcraft link for the 1.2.4 update.
Life is a Learning Curve....
Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
Some mods that use it have been updated yet I can't find a Forge version that works.
Trying the latest build (from that Jenkins thing, #68) with 1.2.5 gives me a "can't find alw.class" error.
Neither ModLoader or Forge edit this class.
Error report looks exactly like this: (and I did it manually, no mod 'helper' junk)

I'll try to use small words.
