i'm trying to but blocks into creative gui using this method in Block.java:
/* FORGE: Called when a new CreativeContainer is opened, populate the list
* with all of the items for this block you want a player in creative mode
* to have access to.
*/
public void addCreativeItems(ArrayList itemList)
{
}
where would i call this method or override it or whatever i'm supposed to do?
Ok, I found a solution for mcpatcher incompatibility. You need to patch the game AFTER installing the mods, like someone has mentioned before. BUT, you also need to remove the minecraft-1.0.0.jar before patching. That worked for me :smile.gif:
did your mods stay? Since whenever you patch all the mods in the jar break...
I second that. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but the problem does appear to be in minecraft forge. The only way I can get any seeds in my world is from dungeon chests. Harvesting does nothing.
On my Multiplayer Server i alwayse encountered this error, if someone gone to a specific direction. So it hast to be the world generator.

Trying the same map in SSP encountered a Crash, even if i createt this map from scratch (Seed: 59).
I removed all Content Mods, so that only Forge, MCL and Modloader still left. MS still crashing while creating this World. Through the fract Forge is working with the Worldgenerator, i think Forge could be the source of this bug.
Why you install the normal modloader for server? There's only ModloaderMP. Also use the server version of ModloaderMP. Then check your order of installation.
1. ModloaderMP SERVER
2. Forge SERVER
3. MCL Server

It's not terrain generator. It's ... rails.
EDIT: It's rails in MineshaftCorridor, so you were right, it's terrain generator.
EDIT2: Does it crash when you place rails?
Only if that non-forge mod edits one of the same classes as forge and isn't explicitly labeled compatible with forge. ModLoader mods "should" be compatible with forge mods.
Unless they use the same block id etc.
You would override it in your Block class.
thanks
oh and i know this has been asked a million times and i think i know the answer but what is and how does one use the ore dictionary?
did your mods stay? Since whenever you patch all the mods in the jar break...
Mods will stay, As MCPatcher doesn't replace classes only patches them i.e. it edits them with the required code.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/854952-creating-mods-minecraft-forge-161211/#infinite
I thought it just makes a backup and replaces them. If it patches, why can't you install 2 mods that modify different parts of same file?
I second that. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but the problem does appear to be in minecraft forge. The only way I can get any seeds in my world is from dungeon chests. Harvesting does nothing.
i'm going to post this everyday until it gets answered
Just override them. Forge have it's code inside them.
You can but there can be some errors. So use from fresh instead.

No offence but you stated that you installed Modloader not ModloaderMP
That makes sense. I didn't read the server is running part.
