I installed the 1.8.1 update (clean). When i play, i get the "Minecraft Beta 1.8.1" watermark in the upper left corner. Then i installed the Minimap (1.9) and for some reason, the watermark says "Minecraft Beta 1.8" - not 1.8.1.
I tested it several times and it is repeatable (deleted Meta-Inf, using no other mods).
Is anybody else having this problem or is it just me?
Another dimension to Waypoint (calculated coordinates) display?
Because there was the same demand before, I think about implementing it.
Seems about right. What I know from the user-side is that you lay out some waypoints on the real world, say four in a box shape ten blocks apart for each corner, and go into the Nether.
From the Nether it still displays the real world waypoints, but scaled in the Nether's dimensions, so those waypoints would end up being displayed 60 - 80 (Whatever the scale was) blocks apart.
Like I said I'm not sure about the algorithm used, but this is what I can tell you from experience as a mod user.

Explanation: The minimap checks if your player is an instance of EntityClientPlayerMP. If it is, it disables the entity radar. I hex edited the class to check if your player is an instance of EntitySquid instead :biggrin.gif: (your player is obviously never a squid)
Here's a patch for v1.8 (MC 1.7.3) that lets you use the entities radar in SMP:

I understood that you thought Entities Radar and Cavemapping not to be necessary.
あなたがEntities RadarとCavemappingを必要ないと考えていることが分かった。
I found that its not compatible with zombe's mods... but they dont change anything that Rei's mini map change too... Cn you make it compatible ?
Works fine with zombe for me. I had problems with modloader...not the crashing, but the map just didn't show up. Someone suggested to check the modloader.cfg file and change reisminimap setting to "off". Don't know why, but it works.
dose it still work in 1.8_1? i don't wanna have to reload my minecraft.jar again since i just got all my stuff in order. i know i, i can make a copy. still i would like to know before getting my hopes up

It's working great for me both in SP and CraftBukkit with 1.8.1.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Dont be mean against my english, im a french canadian, so just tell me if mistake please
Thank you very much for this Mod. The map is beautiful, the GUI is easy to use, and there are many options that can be made easily so the experience is tweaked just right. Being able to just drop it in the Mods folder spares me the trouble of opening the minecraft.jar and makes it very easy to remove, and I appreciate that. I have experienced no problems with it while using it alone.
I do have one queston/issue I'd like to ask help for though.
When I install Zombe's Modpack, something about it makes the minimap no longer work. I've tried installing everything in various orders but the problem still happens. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a mistake with one of the mods? Can it be fixed? It is not much effort to switch modded .jars when I want to build with the fly mod to explore with the minimap, but I would really appreciate being able to use both at once. If it's not a problem with your mod, but Zombe's, I'll understand and ask them to change. Zombe's modpack is very popular and I believe that this one will become very popular too, so they should be made to work together, I hope.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and help me with the problem.

More info on it here.
Or to exclude certain block types?
It would help in locating strongholds and ore deposits ^-^

Please don't expect answer of PM.
Huh? I don't get it...
ayy lmao
I have 'no' mods at all. This after attempting a clean install as well.
Basically, Rei is saying he thought you believed those two things, the Radar and Cave Mapping, to be bad ideas. Due to "abuse" in SMP.

I had a question, is the color for stone bricks intentionally black on the minimap?
