The item textures work fine now. My new problem is this:
The textures for wild lettuce and corn, (I haven't tried growing anything yet) are black, and make the block they sit on transparent.
-EDIT-
I think I figured out what caused the first problem. It was another mod, the Mine Little Pony Skin mod. I don't know exactly what's causing the problem, but I do know that the item textures stopped working when I put it in.
Its possible that because you deleted the ashpile, it is instead turning into another campfire when its destroyed instead. Try deleting the line that says "becomesWhenDestroyed": "ashpile", from the campfire declaration.
That or I changed "ashpile" to "campfire". Which would explain a lot. LOL. I'll try checking after school and therapy.
(Edit)
Never mind. I didn't. Here's the script I'm using.
Hey Xie... as you may have noticed a few people keep commenting on how you need up upgrade to 1.1, but you already have. I think I know why. Look at the subject line :wink.gif:
Peace out
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Showing a little gratitude and understanding towards those who work so hard at making mods for us, free of charge, can go a long way. Remember your pleases and thank yous.
addition when you put any object from your mod on the Risugami Shelf (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v11-risugamis-mods-everything-updated/) it changes its visible icon to something from default minecraft (like tasty sammich is iron sword). It don't changes the item thankfully :biggrin.gif:
First row- normal items, low row your items.
Darn it. I was hoping to use this in conjunction with Risu's shelves. I hope this gets fixed. Also Xie, I just love your mods! Every time i come here there is something new and awesome! I just recently started taking a peak at CT's stuff and i gota say i am in minecraft heaven right now. I wonder are there any thoughts of adding carpets possibly with the colored stuff? Thanks so much for being so great to us in keeping the mod updated and coming up with new stuff.
YogsCast did a review of my mod? :tongue.gif: Was this the one where they reviewed it as part of the Technic pack last year, or a more recent one? :tongue.gif:
Also I updated to 1.1 ages ago... as indicated in the OP and in the thread title... :3
It was the older one but i hadn't seen it.
I need to read the OP more carefully so I don't embarrass myself any more. :biggrin.gif:

I was delighted when I noticed you had updated your mod to the J23 version, because I was suffering from black see-through-the-world shrubs that certain other people in the thread also seemed to suffer from. I expected it to be fixed with this update.
After several hours of testing I came to the following conclusion:
The bug seems fixed in single player, I can see the shrubs (lettuce, wild corn, wild tomato, etc) just fine and they look marvellous with the 32x textures. However, on SMP (note: actually playing on a server, not offline) the issue still persist. A screenshot to clarify:
Indeed, the see-through-the-world issue has been fixed (normally you couldn't see the dirt blocks beneath the plants and it would show the end of the world instead). However, the plants are still black, and stand out. The light level when standing on such a plant is measured to be 0. The actual functionality of the plants has not been impeded, and the problem is merely graphical, albeit a serious one.
Several peculiarities to note:
- If you place a torch next to a black plant, it shows its "true" colours for a fraction of a second, before turning completely black again quickly after.
- If there is 2 black plants next to eachother (not diagonal), and you break one of the plants, the other one returns to normal and is not black anymore.
I have tested this problem under various conditions to see if it was indeed a problem with Xie's Mod. But, even running on the bare minimum for Xie's Mod to run (on an SMP server), the problem still occurs. Once again I repeat that the issue only appears on an SMP server; if I just play single player, the plants appear normally.
To me it seems like the problem was fixed for single player, but not for SMP. (Code duplication issue? i.e. fixing one part but forgetting to fix an identical other part?). It would be nice if this issue could be investigated and patched soon.
With kind regards,
Evangel.
This was a bug from a few updates ago when the blocks light opacity wasn't getting set correctly. I suspect the blocks just need to be regenerated or udpated (by placing a block next to them). It should work OK on a newly generated world (basically what Lordofdragonsss said :tongue.gif:)
Yay, a fix! Thank you for quick reaction!
The newly generated plants are normal, the one that were already on your wolrld needs and updating block next to them(just put the torch or destroy block next to them.
But I noticed another thing (I think its Forge related)- When eating your stuff the crumbs are diferent color than it should be, then I noticed that they come from diferent object-I addition when you put any object from your mod on the Risugami Shelf (http://www.minecraft...ything-updated/) it changes its visible icon to something from default minecraft
Yeah, the food particles has been a bug for awhile. The problem is the food particle texture isn't being read from the custom sprite sheet, but from the same place on the vanilla sprite sheet instead. It should be pretty easy to fix, but it hasn't been a high priority :tongue.gif: I assume the shelf problem is similar.

Define high priority? :tongue.gif: I, and many others, I'm sure, would love to have food on our shelves, as opposed to iron and stuff xD If it is indeed pretty easy, why not? :biggrin.gif: I'll keep clicking your adfly links xD
As I said, this is a newly generated world, with the newest mod version, forge, etc. It works on SSP, but not on SMP. Placing a torch next to it does not work, only destroying a block next to it does.
A newly generated SMP world? Hmmm... OK I'll give it a test myself when I get the chance :smile.gif:

HIgh priority: fixing bugs and implementing features and content for my mod
Low priority: fixing bugs and making patches for incompatibility with other mods
I have enough problems keeping my own mods up to date and functional, without worrying about others as well.
While it would be an easy fix it is still time consuming, and I have a very long todo list. Furthermore it could very well require me to modify Forge and/or Risugami's shelf mod rather than just my own. And don't use adf.ly clicks as a motivator. The amount of time I spend modding vs the amount of income derived from adf.ly clicks works out to about 3c per hour :tongue.gif: That's really not why I do this XD
Never have had a banner, never thought I really needed one. Can't say no though, I'll add it to the OP for others to use if they feel the need. That goes for anyone else who wants to make one too :happy.gif:
Xie; in the 1.0 patch, is it possible to craft the apple tree saplings using Hybrid Seeds, Saplings and Apple seeds?
All of the splicing recipes are in "splicing.xie", and you can add your own splicing recipes to this file if you need as well. Also if you're trying to grow an apple tree from apple seeds, then Lordofdragonss has the truth of it:
Just downloaded the new update. Whenever i break a plant the game crashes! :sad.gif:
But i can break it with a forge stick just fine!
Do you have by chance Gardencraft as well? I have gardencraft installed with Xie's farming mod and stuff packs (CTflowers and CTcore and expanded farming)
When ever i tried to break a plant with gardencraft installed i got a saving chunks crash. Pehaps those two are the conflicting mods?
yep found out that's what it is. Garden craft and Xie's mods are not compatible. Garden craft said they would work on compatibility issues if Xie was willing to. Also Xie could you add to your mod a thirst meeter? Kind of like your hunger mod only thirst instead. and it depletes over time like hunger.

Yeah, happy to work on compatibility, but I would need to take a look to see what's causing the crash. Since I don't modify any base classes, I suspect its something at the GardenCraft end... I'll add it to the todo list, it does look like a cool mod. Don't suppose you have a crash report for me, do you?
As for thirst, in my next update I hope to add support for Tarun1998's Thirst API. That should save me the trouble of having to update my old Hunger mod, at least for awhile :tongue.gif:
... The only thing I like is cocoa tree, apple tree and the hybrid wheat.
I really want a mod that contains only those... :dry.gif:
Ask and ye shall receive! Try it out, let me know if it works. I just edited out everything but the cocoa tree, apple tree and hybrid wheat (well the other fruit trees get loaded because they use the same block, they just won't spawn).

No unfortunately the crash i was getting enabled me to enter the game, and place blocks but the moment i tried to mine a block i got a saving chunks screen and a crash. Also i have seen Tarun's mod but it crashes my game too. Found out he has forge but i cant have other forge mods installed with his yet. I will be ecstatic to see these mods working together tho :happy.gif: by then my minecraft will be complete! Also, completely off subject but I love the new signature. I thought all along that this mod was lacking a sig. He did a good job on it. :happy.gif:
ps. If you ever need help testing the mods together i'd be happy to help!

's and 's for you

Anyway keep up the good work!
Hmmm... is the mod loading correctly? Check the XieLog.txt and/or XieLog.html.
I (supposedly) fixed that in the Jan23 update... have you updated?
Haha, that'd do it! Your script looks solid at least. Does it work?
lol, that's probably why. Cheers for that.

Haha, no turns out it was my bad. I thought I'd updated the thread's title, but I hadn't so... let's share the blame on this one :wink.gif:

Yep, all good now. Somehow I must've re-downloaded jut before you released your update.
Hey, that's cute! Thanks :smile.gif:

Once you've installed the mod, copy the "default" folder into the ./mods/Xie/content/ directory.
Which img folder, and what textures? Are you trying to install a custom texture pack, or is your question related to a content pack?
A texture pack from the OP. Not the doku craft one, I can't figure out where the files go...
