You shouldn't have to reinstall it. I just tested 1.4.2 with a brand new jar and it works, so there's a mod conflict.
Is there a META-INF folder inside your minecraft.jar? If so, delete it and try restarting the game.
This reminds me, I need to put up something on the OP about compatibility. I kinda need some testers too :tongue.gif:
I would love to test it, but the mods conflict so I can't sorry about that. the META-INF isn't there because my other mods work.. I also have zombe's mod pack, TMI, ans singleplayercommands if this helps you debug it at all.

As of 1.4.2, the only thing that could directly conflict would be the block ID's, since I haven't modified any core classes yet.

Alright, tell me when you want me to try it... actually I will test it.. I can just keep my normal .minecraft in a backup folder... tell me what you want me to test, or PM it to me.

You can try it whenever you want :smile.gif:
Also, I dunno if you know this, but TMI and zombe's modpack have a direct conflict. Zombe's needs to be installed first, and there's a certain section of zombe's modpack that can't be used along with TMI. It's on the TMI forum thread. I doubt this is the problem with the crash, since you probably had the two working before trying Granite, but just a heads-up :tongue.gif:

Yes i was aware they conflict, and they were working before granite.

I did a search on the UTD Post, CameronK, you weren't on there, not anywhere, not on the member's list, not anywhere. I did a check with Hyphuhrr to make sure that I could find members, he (or she) was on there.
Please don't lie about that in the future, and do remove your comment about being a lead programmer from your thread.
EDIT:
I know why you put that there, to gain legitimacy, buuut, you should do something with UTD to get the legitimacy that comes with it.
FURTHER EDIT:
It occurred to me the list may not be updated, if you can show me proof of your membership, I'll apologize.
3rd Edit:
Ah, Hyphurr explained it to me, I'm sorry about thinking you were lying.

He is a modder for us, in fact the lead one. Our thread isn't updated because our owner has a post suspension for a few days. It will updated once he returns.

Wolf teeth sounds awesome. I'll look into that. Also, granite-tipped arrows deal 40% more damage than flint arrows, so 3 shots takes out a hostile mob. Marble is slightly more common than gold as of now.
Half blocks, I'll think about. It makes sense, so once I get all the half blocks working I'll probably add it.
I'm trying to decide whether or not granite should be spawned into worlds; if it was, I would have to find a way to make it spawn below a certain level. It'd probably spawn below block level 10, as most rocks like marble and granite in the real world are deep underground.
I can't remember if Granite is more towards the surface or not, though I'm pretty sure it would be in raised sections of land, such as mountains. Isn't that how we get a fair share of our granite or maybe it is from underground? Then again, the same could be said for marble (like in this picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e4/Catedraldemarmol.JPG), but I'd rather it stay deep underground. Ehh, we'll see if Granite even gets added first, but to have another naturally occurring type of stone in the game would be cool. This mod kind reminds me of that Mystic Stones mod I used awhile back now. Hopefully, you can all the half-blocks working soon.
As for wolf-teeth, I was trying to think of something for wolves to drop and well, wolf hides sounded fitting, but we already have a type of hide. (aka leather) Unless it were to be more resistant or something, what's the point. That's where teeth come into play. I got the idea they should do more damage because flint can be sharpened, but is it as naturally sharp as canine teeth or carnivores' teeth in general. Their teeth are generally made to not just chew meat, but to combat/ break bone. (I can't remember if wolves are capable of breaking through bone or not, but I think they are.) That sounds like something that would be very sharp, especially when fired from a bow. I'd imagine they'd also move a bit faster (possibly less weight holding it back?), but that sounds like it would be load for pointless coding for a modder. Maybe, Wolf Teeth arrows could be even more powerful than either type of arrows, but the drops are far less common than most of the animal drops and only produce one arrow at a time, opposed to four or more.
Then again, another hide/ type of leather in the game could work, if you're thinking of something based in the nether. (i.e. fire-resistance)
"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

What I'll probably do is have Wolf-teeth arrows do 1-hit KO's to all mobs (talk about overpowered :tongue.gif:) but wolves only have a 25% chance of dropping 1-2 when they die, and they only make one or two arrows when crafted. Useful to get out of a sticky situation with a creeper or something :tongue.gif:

I love it. Better yet, as long as you're playing on Easy or harder, there's a degree of risk involved as well. (i.e. the whole pack going after you once you hit or kill one wolf) Risk and reward, though maybe you should consider going as low as 10%, possibly 5%, if you want to be real mean/ fair.

A word from our Owner: Hello, I am the one who looked into sponsoring your mod, my name is Casey. Basically, I would like you to make us a very simple, yet amazing mod, that will change all of what we know about redstone displays. I call it the LED mod. Basically, it is exactly like a redstone torch, but a full, solid block. It also will have max brightness, unlike the torch. Do you think you can handle this undertaking? You will get full credit, but will be a UTD projects unlike granite mod, not just sponsored. You can still run the thread if you like, but it will be uploaded to our Planet Minecraft. If you can get the first version ready, I have another idea for it, if you right click it, it changes the illuminated color, to colors we decide. This will allow for colored displays. It would be great for the UTD 31x31 television. Please get back to us, sorry I couldn't talk to you in person, I have a posting suspension.

awesome. DO you have any other mods planned as a side project.. because the UTD has some ideas for some cool ones :biggrin.gif:
