You could always look to the Underdark for creature inspiration. For fauna.. well you wouldn't really have to be fancy Idk about others but I would be happy with mushroom bread.
EDIT- on a side note.. am I the only one who finds the subterranean cave generation very... well... not cool? I would rather have a nether-like generation system for caves.. you know.. big open... with tunnels going through the area. Hmm thats gives me an idea.

Wow thats a bookmark. Mushroom bread actually does not sound bad. I'll probably include in a near-future update.
You know I never did explore the cave system in the nether. To be honest all I really did with the caves was increase the size and amount. I figured it would be a good patch until I could understand the generator more.
I'd also like to point out that fortune is not working on coal. It does not work on the new iron ores either. You probably already know this but it can't hurt to say something, right?
Umm yes I completely knew that...*Goes off to fix*

this mod is one of the best i have ever seen! dwarvencraft is really awesome.
bug report: water smashes stone ladders and don't drops them
sorry if my english isn't correct
Thanks, Finals are next week so I haven't been able to do much with this mod. And the next 3(maybe 4) months I have my capstone class which will tae up a lot of time. I don't know if I will be able to do to much other than small patches and maybe an update if MC updates.
Thanks for the bug report. I'll get that fixed asap (friday I have off and I think I know a solution). Mostly I'm working on cross mod compatability and editing as little base files as possible. We shall see how that goes.

Hey guys, Blue here, I made some of the sprites for volgon and i'd like to know what other ideas for content you've got.
If it doesn't sound to hard to impliment or sound too dumb, i'll whip it up and send it to volgon.
Also, what do you think about the stone colors, i didn't make it but i'll redo it if it seems to have too much contrast or they just don't look too good to you guys.

I have a suggestion. To my opinion, you should add a dwarf mob.
I'll get to it eventually, but I'm not interested in coding it right now. Besides when I add in the dwarfs I have a feeling they will take a long time.

Use techne, You can easily make the mob's shape in under an hour, then texture, then code.

I've made him the dwarf models and skins a while ago, unfortunately, my computer decided to crash and i lost them.
Was waiting until when someone wanted them to remake them.

Hey I'm having a problem... I put the mod into the minecraft.jar folder and the modloaders, and the game runs, just when i create a new world, I'm stuck underground, and my character is normal sized. The help link above is useless to me for this problem. What do I do??? This mod looks awsome, so i really want it to work.
I would not like to be forced underground (all the time) you could make it toggle-able like the sun apocalypse mod or perhaps people could use that if they wanted to. I read something a about nether generation cave system.. and terms of cave generation..
Couldn't you just use the generation (i think the proper word to use is) algorithm from the nether. and edit the blocks it uses to generate by replacing them with the over world equal? Netherack - stone.. soul sand - dirt, glow stone with air? I have no idea on how this stuff works (yet) so I am probably wrong and it probably isn't that easy.
There is also some huge cave mod for bukkit somewhere..
The mossy dirt is just trippy. Its almost like you ate something in that cavern beforehand to make it look like that.
A suggestion make the mossy dirt less colorful, perhaps like a single color that's darker. Another suggestion i have is less fungus-based updates the way its going I'm tempted to call this mod MushroomCraft instead of DwarvenCraft.
Other than all the neon colored mushroom stuff its a great mod.

How about instead of having some huge fantasy creatures, you just burn in the sunlight.

Good Texture: 1 hour
Coding so that they are good:
pricelessweeksAnd your player is supposed to be normal sized. I took out that part of the mod.

Yea I'm looking at the nether algorithms and when my head stops spinning I'll see what I can do. So much math T_T
