Does the exhaustion bar in the GUI show any changes while you are trying to jump repeatedly?
Divisor, I mean the charge that looks like lightning bolts and limits your running jump to 2 (at most).
DivineRPG & Thaumcraft3 has things covering that bar up. Now that I know what I'm looking for in the config file, I changed jump exhaustion to false. I knew something was up. I was happy to discover it was a feature, not a bug.
Yes jump exhaustion was set for Medium Configuration. I ran as default a config as is humanly possible.
"...by making minecraft rebuild itself from scratch (completely empty directory). I then dropped in "Smart Moving Client for ModLoader or Minecraft Forge.zip." Then I added my minecraft.jar with Forge #.497 + Player API 1.1 + Render Player API 1.0 + Optifine HD B4 Ultra. Smart Moving had to generate a default config file (smart_moving_options.txt)..."
Definitely still suffocating in waterfalls. It involves changing from swimming to standing. Easiest way to reproduce:
-Have some still water next to 2 deep water (to start the swimming pose)
-Above the still water have one block of air followed by a solid block
-Now start swimming in the two deep water and get on top of the single block of still water
-Hold jump and suffer suffocation damage
In narrow caves I have found positions where I can quickly die by suffocation.
Once, I was harvesting clay in a shallow pool. I had mined out a block of clay which had dirt above it (so 1 block of open space) when I swam in to collect the clay I started taking damage by bumping into the block above.
I need help with installing Smart Moving with Forge. I've done everything the way I've done with other mods, and even removed every other mod, and it will not work. I am not getting an error message either.
It just gets stuck at a black screen after flashing the logo.
i realy hope you will fix the compability with thaumcraft, the boots of the travveler do not jump higher with smart moving installed and speed is weard with this mod installed for thaumcraft.
Divisor, is there a way to set it so normal users can still disable smart moving with the toggle button while still having the override local settings on? Some of my players like to be able to switch on and off smart moving when they're building. EG, still have to use the server settings when they are using smart moving, but can still turn it on/off.
Does anybody use MCPC 1.4.6 and SmartMoving out there? I'm setting it up and can't find a CraftBukkit plug-in for 1.4.6. When I try the one for 1.4.7, it crashes with:

Could u please add a roll after jumping? just an idea ,but it would look very nice and maybe it would reduce fall damage
Just asking cause i need a roll after head-jumping from a building
This mod is really cool you made a really good work but i have a trouble anything happens when i try to do something like climbing or charged jumping well when i try to use your mod nothing happens please help me i want to play with your mod its very useful please help me i have forge with rei´s minimap , mo´s creatures , insta house , poop , backpack , GUIApi , craftguide , millenaire , and timber .
Is anyone else having trouble with crawling? It was working fine before but now that I've moved to 1.4.7 I can't crawl through a one block space, and when I'm flying I can't be anywhere near something above me. In either case my character stops and bounces around, similar to the behavior you see when you walk into a chunk thats not loaded...
EDIT never mind, I'm just functionally retarded. In my haste to get the server back up I didn't install smart moving properly serverside. Thank you for your FAQ, I coulda solved this problem myself quicker if I had just read it.

It definitely should be part of vanilla game!

It is compatible with Optifine.
On the long, long list already.
