We seem to be having the same error, so my Rei's Minimap had nothing to do with it. It must be Optifine + Controlpack. Also, note that it only crashes once a world is loaded.

I can't reproduce this crash with only Optifine. Is that really the only mods you have? And any specific things about your setup that might help? What kind of world is it? Do you have any optifine settings tweaked, etc?
You can:
Use the ControlPack button added to the MC options screen, or Use ALT+C, which it tells you in the chat window when you launch MC with ControlPack, every time, until you actually do it.
Adding options to the existing menus is what CP used to do. But it has way too many options. To make it work on those screens it would have to modify the screens to add scrolling, etc, and that causes conflicts with other mods that do similar things. So I don't think I'll ever be touching those screens again, way too many problems.
I use the MC Patcher and HD Texturepack fix. Before you say anything, I DO remember to uncheck all the mods before adding any, as Optifine has the HD Texturepack fix already included. First, I add Modloader by pressing the + button. Second, i add Controlpack. Third, I add Optifine. Fourth, I add Rei's Minimap (but since another guy got the same error without Rei's Minimap and since the classes involved in Rei's do not show up as creating an error in the error report, I'm pretty sure that is not what is causing the problem.) I then tested minecraft. The error only comes up when I try to load a world.
EDIT: I've found the error. I completely refreshed minecraft again (delete .minecraft) and loaded all the mods and it worked. As I was fiddling with the settings it crashed when I turned on Optifine's dynamic chunk loading feature (more chunk updates when you stand still). Turning it off will fix the problem (probably).

Fixes problems with look behind and better 3rd person mode with some mods (especially Zombes).
This should also fix the problems some have reported with Optifine. Although I wasn't able to reproduce it, I had a pretty good guess what the problem was, and CP now hooks into MC in a different way that should avoid the problem altogether. If you still experience a crash with 5.1.1 please give me as many details as you can.

Sounds like you installed ControlPack after Optifine. There's a conflict between these mods that is documented in the post, please read it! You will need to use the Optifine version of the conflicting files, which for you will mean you'll get your zoom back. But you'll lose the void fog and less rain features of CP. Please do read the entire post if you haven't, lots of great info in there that goes unread all too much.
And, btw, Optifine has a "Remove void fog" and a "Less Rain" type of feature included, so really you won't be missing anything.
EDIT: Alright, looks like Dynamic Chunk Update + Controlpack works, and Zombe's Modpack + Controlpack works, but not both at the same time. Specifically, when i try to LookBehind while dynamic chunk update is enabled while Zombe's modpack is running crashes it. It works when Dynamic Chunk Update is disabled. I think its a minor glitch that shouldn't deter anyone, we can live without Dynamic Chunk Update.

You are able to turn any given thing on or off and it's solely clientside, meaning that you can use it on a server without hazzle.
I wonder if you could add another key bind for a "Move currently held item too main inventory"
So you have slot 1 empty for example to punch monsters
Zombie drops a potato which gets put in your hands
you push "Q" (or any key you bound too) and it puts the item into the next free slot of your inventory
If its possible i'd love to see it next version or whatever

well you can use MCPatcher or just follow these easy to use instructions...
1. find your .minecraft file (If your using Windows 7, it would be in C:\Users\(your user)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
2. open the bin folder and using a program like 7zip or winrar, open the minecraft jar file.
3. find a folder named META-INF and delete it.
4. open the classes folder in control pack and click and drag everything into the minecraft jar file.
Be sure to install Modloader before Control Pack or you will get error messages or even have the game crash on you.
oh i misread your post. you want to use magic launcher...i don't use magic launcher, i just use MCPatcher.
EDIT: hmm, it seems the auto-sword/tool/block toggle buttons can't be changed in-game...
Unfortunately those are the few things you can't turn off, because they are key combinations, not just keys. MC itself has a number of key combinations that aren't configurable, too. Usually with a combo it's unique enough not to be a problem. But it's not the first time I've heard this complaint. I will have to think of an elegant way to make them configurable or at least can be disabled manually in the config file. Sorry about that.

Condition:
OptiFine's Video Settings->Other->Debug Profiler->ON (ofProfiler:true in optionsof.txt config)
No crash with ControlPack 5.4 running with Forge 6.4.0.393 and OptiFine 1.4.5 HD_U_D3.

Calling all CP users!
I have developed a proof of concept for a new feature, that, IMO, is pretty awesome. However, I have mixed feelings on whether not it would be considered cheating. I don't want that perception for this mod. But when it comes down to it, it doesn't let you do anything you couldn't do manually anyway, so I don't feel like it's cheating.
