golem mod (or others)
Can they be tamed, say by giving them whatever material their made of?
Also, prior to them being hostile, what if they were disguised as a typical ore/wood/dirt block until the player gets too close?
[EDIT] One more thing, personally I'd prefer Golems to have no sounds compared to a zombie duplicate, perhaps they should be the silent killer :biggrin.gif:

i was thinking that i could make a thing that was like an egg but had a 100% chance of summoning a friendly golem do you guys think i should add that.
Definitely, even better then being tamed (which is good, cause they probably shouldn't be pets, more like servants)
Would it be random generated golem though, or different "eggs" (or maybe summoning scrolls or crystals) created by different recipes for each specific golem?

i would be some kind of rune or crystal made kinda like
= golem material
= redstone

Will they be healable with food? keep in mind 8 diamonds per diamond golem is expensive, so they should last a while or maybe recipe should be a bit cheaper like 4 golem material, 5 redstone arranged in the pattern like TnT.
hey for some reason i can't spawn one of the golems. I have single player commands and usually i can spawn whatever i add. Any ideas?
i don't know the reason but i found that out in the testing phase
thanks for the response and i found that the golems are still in my game so i'm happy. Also the first golem that i faced was a gold so i ran for higher ground which proved to be a stupid idea. The golem was extremely weak. It only took me 4 hits with a stone sword and a wooden one only took 2 hits. I suggest upgrading their health and strength

Second that idea, perhaps this for hitpoints
15 - wood
30 - stone
60 - iron
90 - gold
130 - diamond
which would also partially solve the problem of the recipes for the diamond golem summoning being unbalanced.
8 diamonds for only a 50 hp minion is a bit of a ripoff (especially since I assume you can't heal them)

Definitely add this to my game as it progresses.
